Chapter 2 - Boxer vs Wolfe

The distance between Wolfe and Boxer was closed very quickly. They threw a punch at each other to sort of test the surface. Both fists collided and the result was devastating. The entire stadium shook from the impact. Dust rose in the arena. Everywhere went quiet. Then it was followed by the shouts from Boxer's fans. Wolfe was thrown off by the collision. There was just no way his fist could stand against Boxer's. He flew and landed back where he began. He could feel his fist throbbing from the pain and inspected it.

"It's not broken. That's good!" He muttered to himself and looked up to see Boxer rushing at him. Closing the distance up very quickly. He quickly stood up and moved to his left. Not too far but far enough to make Boxer lower his movement speed to turn.

"Nope! Still too fast!" He turned to move to his right making Boxer alter his speed to get back on track.

"Right! That should do!" Wolfe had barely muttered that statement before he saw Boxer's right fist suddenly in front of his face, closing in fast. He quickly moved his head backwards but was not fast enough. He got hit in the nose, throwing him backwards into the barrier erected to protect the live viewers. He bounced off the barrier back at his opponent who grabbed him and threw him backwards all the way to the centre, landing face-first on the dusty arena floor. Wolfe tasted blood, then sand, then blood with sand. He groaned as soon as he heard footsteps speedily approaching and stood up abruptly making him feel slightly dizzy.

Boxer was sure Wolfe was done in after throwing him back to the centre of the arena. He watched Wolfe land with a loud THUMP. He rushed at Wolfe again. He was sure he heard his opponent groan. He raised his fist above his head planning to strike at the forehead but Wolfe was prepared this time. He kicked Boxer's right leg, bringing him down on one knee. He struck his face with his right knee but Boxer blocked with one hand and grabbed the leg with the other hand, swinging him around and then tossing him to give himself time and space to regroup. Wolfe fell to the floor again from the toss, turning the fall into a side roll, he stood up back.

Wolfe and Boxer looked at each other, re-assessing their opponent.

"Both opponents are looking at each other again." Brown was already shouting by this time.

"They are re-assessing themselves. But this time with more first-hand information to go by. This is the period when the psychological warfare gets involved with the physicality. Both men will begin strategizing and taking notes of their opponents strengths and weaknesses that they have observed. Aiming for their weaknesses while being wary of their strengths." Jay-B's experience finally came into play here with that enlightenment. Brown took advantage of Jay-B's pause to speak up.

"In short, The fun is just starting!"

Both opponents rushed at each other just then. Boxer threw a punch. Wolfe blocked and threw his. Boxer, instead of blocking, threw another punch with his other hand. He was taking a gamble, relying on his superior 'fist power'. Both fists hit their targets right in the face. Wolfe staggered backwards from the impact while Boxer merely took a step backwards to steady himself before taking three steps forward and kicked at Wolfe's mid-riff, sending Wolfe back to the floor once again.

Wolfe utilized the kick to do a few back rolls, giving himself some space. But Boxer was not having any of that. He rushed at Wolfe again before he could stand up, grabbed him by the waist, raised him above his head and threw him back to the floor. He repeated the same move thrice without giving him any breathing space. Wolfe spat out mouthfuls of blood again and again.

Even then, Boxer still was not done. He sat on Wolfe, pinning Wolfe's hands to his sides with his knees and began pounding at Wolfe's face. Fist after fist after fist. Wolfe spat blood in mouthfuls. It went on for several minutes but Wolfe would not give up. People were beginning to feel nauseated from the scene.

"Someone should tell Wolfe to give up already!" Jay-B was speaking with a concerned look on his face even though no one could see him apart from his co-commentator.

"Yeah! I mean this is getting too much....Don't you think? Wolfe should just give up! It is better than dying! He could just ask for a rematch anyway." Brown backed him up.

Boxer was feeling frustrated and angrily grabbed Wolfe's ankle and swung him and threw him at the barrier once again.

Wolfe spat out blood again. He wiped his bloody face with his left hand. He then stood up slowly, with that smile that had not left his face since the match began. He slowly looked down at his bloodstained chest and looked up at Boxer with a wider smile. It was at this stage that Boxer realised something was not adding up.

"Why does it suddenly feel like Wolfe has been messing with Boxer all this while?" Brown was as perplexed as every other person including Boxer.

Boxer instincts began telling him to give up before it was too late. But before he could give it a thorough thought, Wolfe had already hit him in the face sending him sprawling. He was shocked, then he quickly stood up to fight back but, well, it all just became a one-sided fight. Boxer was punched and kicked and carried and tossed all around the ring without any chance to retaliate. He was sent sprawling times too many to count and spat bucketfuls of blood. And just when he thought he could not take anymore, Wolfe stopped and stepped back. The smile still on his face, encouraging him to to accept defeat.

"I...….." Before Boxer could say any more words, he suddenly heard an explosion. He and Wolfe immediately turned to look at the side from where the sound came. Al they saw at that side was dust, where people were sitting and watching was nothing but fire and dust and on closer inspection, one could see bits of flesh and body parts. The dust was also seen to actually be human skin reduced to dust-like particles. Screams resounded all over the stadium, followed by mayhem. One look around was enough to know the reason. Earth had been invaded.
