Prologue

"Well this is interesting". I am pretty sure that I hadn't went to sleep in a giant dark swirling vortex.

"It is isn't it." Or near a man with white hair and a suit. He looked rather muscular, not exactly a body builder but definitely someone who took care of his own physique. Though for some reason, I couldn't see his eyes.

"If I knew this was what awaited me after death, I would have made more preparations." Death huh, this guy was weird. And I couldn't even properly talk back, because the black vortex that covered everything around me also covered my mouth and rest of my face, everything except my eyes and ears. Or they did but I could see and hear through them.

"I guess you will do child, I do not exactly have much time and I don't know how I actually know that."

"My name is Shigaraki, I am All for One."

I think my brain went dead for a few moment there. Blue Screen and all that jazz.

All for One. The Big Bad of Boku no Hero Academia franchise and one of the coolest villains created in recent years. Holding the power to take power of other people for himself, a man that lived ever since the beginning of quirks and lived unopposed except for the users of One for All, a quirk created by him.

"Yes I am all of those things." Shigaraki, All for One, laughed and I did not even want to think how he knew what I was thinking.

"As I have said before, I am dead." AfO scratched the back of his hand, his whole body giving off a embarrassed feeling.

"I was killed by Allmight in what you know as the battle before the canon." Hearing AfO using a word like 'canon' felt a bit bizarre but my curiosity was far greater.

"Of course I knew that dying was a possibility. Especially against a 'hero' that wanted nothing more than kill me." AfO's voice took a mocking tone when he said 'hero', it was clear how he felt about his enemies.

"So, since dying was a possibility I had my friend Garaki make a new body, a Nomu if you will that he could put my quirk in. If it worked I would also know that quirks did possess their users 'Will'. So two birds with one stone, impressive right?" AfO smiled a full teeth smile. And honestly, it kinda was.

Sure it wasn't exactly his greatest plan or anything, having far too many risks but pulling a Mister Sinister was pretty awesome.

"Though now I know that quirks do possess will, I won't be able to do much with the knowledge." Wait whut?

"Instead, you will be taking over the body." Again, whut?!

"I don't exactly know how but you somehow ended up here a while ago and ever since then you have been, for a lack of better term, absorbing the 'Will' of these quirks. Nothing of their user is left and I probably will be gone in a few minutes as well." Then why the hell are you so calm and comfortable?!

"Cause it is very amusing! My plan is thwarted not by heroes but someone much more similar to me! Rather then end of All for One's evil, this is the birth of a new villain, a new Demon King! It is far too amusing and exciting, really wish I could stay around to see it! Hahahaha!" One thing the series did not seem to capture is ver clear here…

All for One is a psychopath!

"Ahh but it would not do well to simply send you off, you need a new name! For your new start!" Ok that might actually be good since I could not remember my own name.

"Ahh I got it. 'Sho' from 'Shosha' which means winner and 'Toku' from 'Tokutei' which means certain. And my own 'Shigaraki' for you to bear my legacy of course. Yes…"

"Shigaraki Shotoku." AfO smiled a full teeth smile as the vortex around us seemed to completely focus on him, his mere presence making me think of great warlords like Alexander, Genghis Kahn and Atilla the Hun. Presence of a king if you will.

"That will do nicely."

"Now go forth, Shigaraki Shotoku! Go and claim everything that you want! Become the greater then anyone before you! For you are the legacy of former All for One and are the new one! Go forth…" and then the vortex completely swallowed me as I felt like I was awakening from a dream.

"…my son!"
