Blood Traitors

Her gaze lingered on his freckled face from across the great hall, her eyes tracing across every feature of his face, from the upturned corners of his devious grin to the small silvery scar that ran through his eyebrow. Sighing and aimlessly stirring her porridge, the metal clinking on the ceramic bowl as she allowed her mind to get engulfed by the prior night when those callused hands had been exploring every inch of her body...

~Hogsmeade~

"Rise and shine!"

Cho drew open the satin curtains, letting a bright morning glow pour into the room causing Bella to let out a loud groan.

Burying her face into her pillow, her head throbbing she cursed obscenely at Cho, making several rude hand gestures.

"So, I was thinking, breakfast here, come back and get dressed and then we can spend the rest of the day at Hogsmeade," Cho said briskly, ignoring Bella's attempts to strangle her and making her own bed, pulling the duvet up and folding her quilt neatly.

"Fine," Bella grumbled, staggering over to the bathroom, her blanket still wrapped around her, engulfing her like a caterpillar in a cocoon.

Still in her clothes from the previous night, Bella shimmied out of her jeans and shirt, unclasped her bra and let her underwear fall to the floor.

"Ten minutes for a shower then we're leaving!" Cho called out.

God, she was bossy but in all truth, Bella needed that. Cho was the only sane person in her life at the moment, the only one who could keep her in line and keep her from going on several murderous rampages a day.

"Ok mother!" Bella yelled back, rolling her eyes and turning on the tap. Before stepping into the shower she swivelled her hair into a knot atop of her head, getting the cascades of silvery hair away from her face.

She sighed with joy as she stepped under the scalding water, letting it run over her body, massaging soap suds over her pale skin.

Forgetting she had a time limit she jumped suddenly, stepping out of her trance as Cho yelled out, "Five minutes."

Shit, Precious time wasted, if she carried on like this she might have to go to breakfast butt-naked.

"Coming mum!"

Hogsmeade was bustling with people. Students and other magical citizens had all gathered to celebrate the start of the first Triwizard Tournament in decades.

Oh right, the tournament. With everything going on so far it had completely slipped Bella's mind.

Dressed in a cream midi dress, a slit up to her mid-thigh and a delicate square neckline, exposing her collar which had been accessorised with a small gold locket, Bella and Cho strolled along the cobbled streets of Hogsmeade, chatting merrily.

"So, who do you reckon is gonna get picked?" Cho asked, chewing on one of her toffees they had just purchased from Honeydukes.

Sighing, Bella stated the obvious, "It might be Adrien, he's of age now," she said reluctantly, pushing all those unwanted feelings to the pit of her stomach.

"But he's a dick and not brave in the slightest, bloody coward if you ask me," Cho seethed, seeing the look on her friends face and squeezing her hand supportively.

"Hopefully it will be someone better," she said, "Like Cedric," she added, turning a light shade of pink.

Bella let out a chuckle, "Oh you would love that wouldn't you. Cho, hun, when are you gonna stop being a chicken and ask him out, you don't have to keep waiting around for him to make a move, woman up."

Cho burned even brighter, her face turning bright red and looked bashfully at the ground, scoffing.

"He doesn't like me like that, I'm sure of it," she said, a tone of sadness hidden behind her cheery voice.

"You never know until you try hun," Bella said, grinning, and nudging Cho in the shoulder as the continued to walk through the village, giggling like little girls.
