Blood Traitors

Her gaze lingered on his freckled face from across the great hall, her eyes tracing across every feature of his face, from the upturned corners of his devious grin to the small silvery scar that ran through his eyebrow. ~Acceptance~

"Do you remember when we had our first flying lesson and I made a comment about your pigtails so you pushed me off my broom when I was about ten feet in the air?" George asked, stroking her hair as she smiled serenely, the satisfaction of that moment still running deep in her veins.

"Thank you," she whispered, her eyes glossy with emotion, "For everything today."

"No problemo," he grinned, pecking her lips quickly only to be yanked into another long and earth-shattering kiss, his heart, melting when he heard her laugh as he pinched her side cheekily.

"I'm finally starting to accept that you might not be who I thought you were," she whispered, breaking the kiss yet again.

"Six years, Merlin, took you long enough."
