Chapter 116

The matter about the mages in disguise blew up later on, as the magic squads began working overtime to deal with any and all mobs in the kingdom which gave the commoners some room to breathe around, though even then, the forsaken areas were left to their own devices to a degree so those bandits that managed to escape began rampaging around in the forsaken realm.

'I hope those bandits don't put their eyes on my village or else.' I couldn't help but punch the damn beast that wasn't letting go of my hands and walked away after feeding the rest of them.

"I don't get why Yami is keeping these guys here, not like he can tame them, though I can tame most of them if I want," I wondered.

It's been nearly a month since that day, as for the child, he is being taken care of, Yami promised me that he isn't in any kind of trouble so I am fine for now, it wasn't those kids' fault that some bad people decided they weren't worth anything being alive.

I am guessing the magic knights have some way to make sure that the two kids don't go kaboom, although I tried keeping them with me but Yami convinced me otherwise.

I have been resting all this time besides doing the labors that Yami asks of me, aside from that I have been traveling to various places with Finral so that I can go there when needed.

This was the thing Yami wanted me to do from the start so that's good, I also check up on the village from time to time and make sure no one is looking at it with evil eyes.

Though I didn't give up on cultivation as it always calms me down plus the way I gain soul force to increase my power.

"But Yami told us to ask for you whenever we want to travel and Finral is not around," she replied while whining, trying to act cute and all, though it's not gonna work.

"Pretty please," she says sounding all cute, I would actually consider if she was being genuine.

Sighing as I really have no other thing to do, I take her hand and we arrive at the market.

"There, happy now!"

"Hehe, thanks!"

I was about to go back when she yanked me along with her, not giving me time as she led me through.

From below her robe emerged charm, where the hell did she hide her robe.

"Come on, let's have a look at the black market,"

Vanessa's next words made me a little curious as I haven't been to the black market, not the one inside the royal city yet.

Seeing as I was moving along just fine now, she let me go from her hold, I did feel a bit empty seeing the hand slip away but didn't show it in anyway.

After going through narrow curves and an illusionary magic curtain we finally saw what could only be described as a crowd of people with stalls on the road selling some magical artefacts.

It helped that I had my beautiful eyes that helped me spot the sale items so that I don't get duped by these shady oversellers, plus my experience as a previous magic store owner really helped me here.

I walked around and looked at a few items with Vanessa who was bish trying out some goofy magic artifacts with charms

'I wonder how she manages to act as cute as that and as flirtatious and sultry as before.'

I looked through the corner of my eyes as something got my attention,
