Chapter 115

"Open the portal to the hideout, we need to get rid of them," Yami said to me, them being the disguised knights of the neighbouring country

I didn't bother explaining as I grabbed the guy and used spatial motion to move through.

We arrived high up in the air and to my surprise, Yami was floating beside me even though I wanted him to drop dead like a fly

"Is that it?" Asked Yami as he took a puff.

"Yeah, I really recently saved a cargo moving through the forest, though what's weird is-"

"Enough with the chit-chat, just write me a report later,follow me" Yami grunted as he summoned a sword, dropping down toward the hidepit like a fly.

"Dark....Slash"

Yami yelled as the whole mountain got raised to the ground, though I wasn't worried about that, I knew Yami was that powerful from our recent battle

What worried me were the trapped people inside that I had promised to myself I would save.

Seeing the broken mountain, I gave him a glare that promised some pain before I rushed in through the rubble, burning it into lava and flowing out.

"Kid wait!"

"There are people inside we need to save!" I yelled as I didn't stop to wait for him.I could feel him force his way through with sheer strength as he chased after me.

After searching around the debris and collapsed caves I finally arrived at the location, I already knew where they were from my senses, it was difficult finding a way through.

Most of them were found dead, but a few were still alive, I gritted my teeth as I quickly picked up the few left alive, a pair of kids.

Facing towards the wall, I conjured extreme flames that started drilling through the mountain opening a new path for us, Yami didn't say anything as he watched me go through, silently following behind.

Once we were outside and I made sure.they were alright, I heaved a sigh of relief

"You realize they are not from clover, right?" asked Yami

"So what, doesn't mean they are evil"

"No, it means you are helping the enemy, and these kids aren't as innocent as you might think them to be" Yami said to me.

"So you want me to leave them to die"

Yami didn't say anything more as he sighed in frustration, I don't get him, why is he alright with killing kids

"I am going ahead to make sure everyone else is dead, you stay here and DONT let them get to you"

"Fuck off" I flipped him as he left, seeing that he was out of sight, I sighed once again, realizing that this isn't me playing a hero, I a a soldier of clover kingdom, not some hero trying to save everyone.

"But that doesn't mean I can just wait and do nothing" I said to myself , as I conjured the blue flames, I haven't been able to do this for a while, but I feel like I can.do.it now.

The flames made contact with the kids, and contrary to expectation they weren't.burned to death but enveloped in a gentle blue flame that seemed to reinvigorate them.

Now that I had time I took a look at them and noticed the weird movement of their auras that seemed to thrash around like snakes.

Or a raging lion in a cage.

"This isn't normal " I sighed.

Yami Pov:

"Tch! That brat is too soft, though what else did I expect from a member of my squad " Yami couldn't help but be happy and frustrated at the same time.

"I will need to keep an eye on those kids, see if they are a part of that project from the other kingdom" Yami thought as he slit the throat of another mage.

He vaguely remembered of a report in the last meeting about how the diamond kingdom was experimenting on kids and turning them into highly volatile bombs that could get rid of cities in one fell swoop among other projects

Although Yami was angry at Robin, he was also proud in a sense to have a strong member, plus one with a good heart

He remembered how he was treated when he first arrived at the clover kingdom, the amount of discrimination he received.

Yami thought as he stomped another mage's head.

"Let's look for the leader and report to the HQ before this blows up any further" Yami muttered to himself as he dragged a few mages together and cleaved them in half.
