Chapter 31

Skylar's POV

I mean it, Sky.

I woke up with a start, those strange words ringing faintly in my ears. And then someone knocked on the door loudly-my bedroom door.

"Skylar, wake up!"

I blinked open my eyes groggily and sat up. A small groan escaped my lips at the bright sunlight as I tried rubbing the drowsiness from my face. Looking around, I realized I was in my room.

And then everything came crashing down upon me. Literally.

"Geez." I whispered, clutching onto my head. I couldn't even explain how bad my head ached at that moment. My throat had gone dry throughout the night and my brain was literally banging against my skull.

"Skylar." Another knock came and I'm sure it wasn't loud, but to me it felt like somebody was drilling holes into my skull.

"Who is it?" I snapped with obvious frustration.

The knocking stopped for a second.

"Your mother, Skylar." Mom said in a pissed voice.

Oh shit.
