Skylar's POV
This was my fifth and the final attempt to open the car door, which in that moment was all I could opt for, even if the car was moving. I was so sure I'd get out this time. So sure.
But to my utter dismay, the door didn't budge at all.
"Open the fucking door, Caden!" I shouted in frustration.
He glanced at me from the driver's seat and just that one glance told me how much he was regretting bringing me along with him. Which brought me back to the fact that he had dragged me out of school against my will, during my only free period, and forced me to get inside his car as he drove to God knows where.
"I'm not opening it, Anderson." He muttered, looking into the rear-view mirror.
I tried opening the door again. Of course, I knew it wouldn't open. Caden must've operated the child lock. But if I panicked enough, maybe he would realize how wrong it actually was to trap me inside his car.
Which didn't really happen.
"Why not?"
"I can't." He gritted out.
