“Do you still have my coin?” Asked Edmond in a low voice. Finch nodded. “It’s here.” She lifted her free hand and opened her fist, showing Edmond the coin that he gave her last night. The coin that she used as her marker during the game. “You have to keep it. We’ll play again soon.” Edmond promised. Finch nodded happily. THE FOREST GIRL - 2

"What is she to me?" Asked Newton, trying to sound like he did not care.

Mosley giggled. "I'm surprised you and the girl haven't got married yet. I know what she is to you, Mr. Piper."

Turner darted his eyes from Newton to the lady who seemed to enjoy the commotion. What is he thinking? We should have gone the moment she told us to leave. Now we're digging our own grave. Thought Turner.

Finch peered at two adults that had exchange without really understanding of what they were talking about. Her knee continued to bleed and the pain became unbearable. She tugged the end of Mosley's sleeve, weakly spoke to her, "My knee hurts, Mosley. Help me, please." She was about to ask her to take her to their oasis but then she realised the audiences that curiously studied them both.

"Who's this girl to you?" Asked Newton as his eyes noticed the distinction between the two females in front of him.

"Such a noisy councilman." Replied Mosley in a mocking tone. "Take your useless minion away from here and mind your own business."

"This has become my business since I stumbled upon this little girl. If we were not the ones to find you today, others would. I heard they would start coming soon."

Newton scanned his surrounding with his intellectual eyes.

"It was all because of you, Mr. Piper." Mosley stated. She put her hands on Finch's bleeding knee and soon her hands turned into skeleton hands.

Her action was noticed by the two men that were standing there. Their eyes examined her bony hands covering the girl's bleeding knee that started to look like sucking all the blood that was splattering around the girl's leg into her bony hands. Newton moved his eyes on the lady face and his eyes got widened as he witnessed her eyes that turned all red.

"Oh Lord!" Turner exclaimed quietly. He could not believe what was revealed in front of him. The blind-looking old lady that he helped before was not ordinary human. "Sir Newton. We have to leave."

"No!" Came the stubborn answer from Newton. His eyes did not leave the woman and the girl. He saw how the woman's eyes turned back to white and her hands turned back to normal. As the woman lifted her hands off of the girl's bleeding knee, the looked of horror was set on Newton's face as he whispered, "The wound's gone."

Finch's bleeding knee was now alright. The bleeding had stopped. The wound had closed. It was like she never get injured at all.

"You're the witch." Stated Newton, looking at Mosley as if he had been knowing her all along.

"The witch?!" Turner exclaimed in shock.

The girl's head jerked up, looking at the blonde man who had his eyes on Mosley. Finch then got up and stood next to Mosley. The word 'witch' kept ringing in her head, causing a strange discomfort in her heart.

"You haven't met me before to know who I am." Mosley said to the councilman casually.

"But I've heard about you."

She smirked. She then tapped Finch's shoulder and the girl turned her head to the woman. "Be a dear to me, Finch. Go back to oasis now." Mosley spoke to her gently, like a mother to her daughter.

Before Finch could step away, Newton grabbed the girl's arm and swung her to his side. "The girl have to come with me. I cannot let her nor you go."

"For someone who just labelled me as a witch, you are very brave to ignore my warning. Don't you know what a witch is capable of?" Mosley tilted her head to the side, gauging his calm expression. Right now she wanted to do nothing but to bury him alive. "Let the girl go."

"And what will I get?" Newton asked, trying to see if there was a deal they could make.

"Nothing." Answered Mosley.

Newton gritted his teeth in annoyance. "Then I'll take you both with me."

Hearing that, Mosley laughed out loud. Her eyes then glanced at Turner who had been standing close to his leader.

Noticing her scary gaze, Turner moved behind Newton's further until he was sure that he was out of her sight. The hair on his neck stood as the cold wind blew onto him gently.

"Are you planning to send your minion to lead me the way again? How nice!" Mosley mocked at them.

"I can guide you there, instead. If you'd like." Said Newton. He loosened his hold on Finch's arm.

Following where the conversation had been going, Finch shook in fear. They would take her out of the forest. She looked up at Mosley whose eyes bored at them. She then understood why Mosley wanted her to go back to her oasis. She had to go away from these men.

With her knee which was now fine, Finch started to contemplate her next movement: how she could get away from them. Running was a good idea, but how quick she could go?

While the girl plotted to run away from them, Mosley plotted worse. She was contemplating whether she should just murder the two men or shovel them both out of the forest with scars all over their body. Torturing them would be entertaining but she had better things to do than dealing with the councilmen.

"I'm warning you one more time, leave us alone and leave the forest in peace."

"Or?"

"You'll die."

In a swift movement, Turner grabbed Newton's left arm and start begging, "We have to leave, Sir. We stand no chance against her." His voice was shaking in fear.

Mosley stared at them. "Why are you so obsessed with us?"

"I'm not." Denied Newton quickly. "I'm just doing my job."

"I told you, you've come to the wrong place. The girl and I have nothing to do with the boy's death."

"And you know who has murdered him." Newton glared at the old woman. "Tell me and I'll leave you alone."

Mosley shook her head. Once again, her hands turned into bony ones and the next thing that happened was, the two councilmen fell unconscious on the ground.
