Book 6: Forever Held

~ The gallant prince shielded her from harm, protecting her from everything except from himself. ~

"What are you doing?", Daisuke opened his eyes to find Maru bent over him, studying his face.

"I'm just about to wake you up. Dinner is served, your majesty." Maru felt her cheeks turn hot, but used a sarcastic tone, hoping that the young man will just drop the subject.

Daisuke looked at Maru with disbelief written on his face. "So you have decided to wake me up with a kiss then?"

"No, I'll never.." Maru wanted to sink in that instant. She wished for the ground to just swallow her whole. When neither of the two happened, she stood up and in an almost inhumane speed ran downstairs.

Daisuke followed her but did not say anything about the earlier disturbance. They shared the meal together and after the meal, he thanked her.
