Chapter 3

The next day

After lunch, Jungkook decided to go to his father's office, he had to help his mother find out who owned the handkerchief and what his father was doing behind them. As the son of the commissioner at Jeon's Company, of course all employees know him, but not Younjung. When Jungkook wanted to enter his father's room, Younjung swiftly blocked him.

"Excuse me sir, do you have an appointment with Mr. Jeon? because right now he's not in his room," Younjung said and Jungkook just stared at Younjung who was standing in front of him, right in front of the door to block him from entering.

"Who are you?" Jungkook said he hadn't been to his father's office for a long time, he also didn't know anyone who was there, but the face in front of him was completely foreign to Jungkook.

"Oh, I'm sorry, sir, I'm Younjung, I'm Mr. Jeon's new secretary, and who are you, sir? I will tell Mr. Jeon if you come today," Younjung said.

"You don't know who I am? have you never seen my face in the magazine? don't you have social media?" he said.

"W-What? I'm sorry but I don't know you sir," Younjung said and Jungkook reached out his hand to Younjung.

"I'm Jungkook, Jeon Jungkook, the second son of Jeon Seojun, the commissioner at this company, your boss," Jungkook said and Younjung just stared at Jungkook in front of her.

"I'm sorry sir, I'm sorry for not recognizing you," Younjung immediately lowered her head, but instead of being angry, Jungkook just laughed at what Younjung did.

"It's okay, I forgive you this time, but you said my father wasn't in his room, where was he? is he still having lunch?" he said.

"He was having a meeting with Mrs. Park, I don't know where they went, but Mr. Jeon left before lunch and hasn't come back," Younjung said.

"Ah, Mrs. Park, yes, I know her, can I still not wait for my father inside?" he said.

"Yes, yes you can wait for Mr. Jeon in his room, I'm sorry beforehand," Younjung said and she opened the door for Jungkook.

"And one more thing, can you make me an iced coffee? I don't like using sugar, so make it as bitter as possible, okay?" he said.

"Yes sir, I'll make it soon," Younjung came out of the room.

Jungkook approached his father's desk, there were several photo frames that made him smile when he saw them. He sat on his father's chair and picked up one of the frames, he saw a photo of his mother and father there, they seemed to be passionate when they were together, but remembering what his mother said yesterday made him disappointed, he didn't know if it was true or not, but he had to find evidence to be sure, for his mother and himself.

Not long after, Younjung knocked on the door and Jungkook told her to come in, she brought a tray containing Jungkook's iced coffee.

"Here's your iced coffee, sir," Younjung put it on the table.

"Is there anything I can help you with, sir?" Younjung said.

"No, this is enough, but I need a friend, so stay here until my father comes," Jungkook said.

"But-"

"Do you not want to accompany me here?" Jungkook looked at Younjung who was not far from him.

"Okay sir, I'll stay here," Younjung said and Jungkook just smiled. Jungkook got up from his seat and moved to the guest seat, he told Younjung to sit there with him.

"Younjung, can I ask you something?" he said.

"Yes sir," Younjung said.

"How long have you been working here?" he said.

"One year sir, my friend Irene helped me to get accepted at this company," Younjung said.

"But I'm sure it's not because of your friend, I know my father well, he must have considered many things when he accepted you as his secretary, before working here, where did you work?" he said.

"Actually this is my first job at a company, before that I only helped my mother work in the shop," Younjung said.

"Do you have a boyfriend?" Jungkook said and it can be seen from Younjung's expression, she was surprised to hear the question.

"Excuse me, but I think it's privacy sir," Younjung said.

"I'll bet you don't have a boyfriend yet, it can be seen from your answer, but how can a beautiful woman like you not have a boyfriend?" Jungkook said and Younjung didn't answer anything, she even lowered her head.

"You have beautiful eyes, you know that right?" Jungkook said and Younjung still silent.

"Your lips are also sexy, did my father give the best for you?" Immediately Younjung lifted her head, she knew what Jungkook meant.

"Excuse me sir, but what do you mean by that?" Younjung said.

"I believe you understand, you immediately looked at me when I said that, was what I said true?" he said.

"Are you accusing me? I work here only as Mr. Jeon's secretary, that's all, I don't do anything for money," Younjung said.

"Why do you look upset? did I say the wrong thing?" he said.

"I don't know what you mean by saying that to me, Mr. Jungkook, but I feel like your words are cornering me a little," Younjung said and stood up from her seat.

"Really?" Jungkook walked over to Younjung and stood right in front of her.

"The part that cornered you?" Jungkook tried to caress Younjung's cheek but the door opened, making them turn in the same direction simultaneously.

"Jungkook, Younjung, what are you doing in my room?" Mr. Seojun said.

"Hi appa, I was just dropping by, and Younjung accompanied me here, I saw something on her face so I tried to clean it up," Jungkook said and his father came over to them.

"Why didn't you contact me earlier if you wanted to come here?" Mr. Seojun said.

"I said I was just dropping by, I still have some shoots after this, so I have to go," Jungkook said.

"Okay, don't forget that this week you have to clear your schedule, we will have dinner together with your hyung and his girlfriend, we will talk about their marriage, and Younjung you can leave my room, bring some files that you have checked for me to sign," Mr. Seojun said and Younjung nodded, she left her boss's room and returned to her desk.

She could breathe a sigh of relief as she passed through the door, she patted her chest and tried to hold back her tears so they wouldn't fall.

"Younjung, you have to be strong, this is normal isn't it for you?" Younjung muttered.
