Chapter 43: The Letters (Cathia & Evelyn)

P.O.V Cathia

Covering my legs with the duvet, I hugged my knees tightly before unfolding the paper.

Leo brought me this letter, saying that Lionel had left these for all of us. My heart sank with his words, fading into the surroundings. He left after handing it to me with a face telling me he needed time and space.

Somehow, I felt that it was my mistake. Maybe, if I would have been fine, we might have stayed there for longer. And maybe, we could have figured out a way to open the portal again. But it wasn't my fault that I couldn't heal myself while healing everyone else when the powers were escaping our bodies.

I sighed. The present gives a lot of possibilities for the past and the future. It depends on us whether we want to leave the unchangeable past or we want to change the future for us. Anyway, I started reading.
