Primordial Task

The flood of information about what had happened reached Eugene; he felt it in a way as if he was the one who lived it.

This terrified him and also allowed him to see the big picture and the possible results.

'This is troublesome. I'm truly reckless… but we can do it!'

Every race has a different way of thinking and humans were known to have complex thought processes that made them mimic other creatures in their thinking process.

Eugene understood something the lion didn't. Well, he didn't know if the Silent Treader could even think, but the lion thought the mission was amazing for growth purposes.

But Eugene grasped that it was indeed for growth purposes but the Task was a Primordial Task, not something that should be given to them without a concrete reason.

There were basically three lifeforms sharing one body and they were all not even Juvenile in an official way.

The task was given to improve the synergy among themselves and not to perish.

In a way, they were new life forms, and Eugene glued them together; without him, the two would transform into hideous monsters for no reason.

Just as in Birth Battle Ground as a variety of organ monster battles and in a minute chance, a newborn denizen came to be.

Eugene and the two beasts were also in that Birth Battle Ground. The difference was that the newly born creatures needed to find harmony and their individuality.

The information about the location and the battle ground all came from the digestion of the newborn denizens.

Eugene also inferred that the danger they were running away from came from the Father.

Eugene sent one conclusion for now.

'Digest it fast'

Both beasts concentrated, and half of their body energy was consumed, and the remnant of the denizen was gone.

They turned to a corner where there were multiple paths and jumped into a hole.

This time, they felt the danger wasn't pursuing them directly, but it was still there.

They kept running nonstop while avoiding all critters and cretins on the way.

They felt they were safe to a degree before they stopped and processed the next thing Eugene had sent them before he went silent.

Being awake was like carrying the weight of the two creatures on him, their entire being and life.

The only way was to slumber but only wake him up if things have become complicated like now.

Two things came to them, one was how to read the paths in the realm. Eugene didn't come up with it but was able to see with both beast eyes and their deep instincts and pulled it out.

He was the third lens that observed what they saw in a calm manner and scrutiny.

The glowing dust on the floor and walls were path markers and they don't form randomly. They indicated where they would take you.

Eugene has seen the path the lion took and the dust glow showed certain patterns before it reached the Battle Birth Ground.

The second thing was their state of being. Eugene is the core and holds the beast together.

Silent Treader was in an essence form and appeared as the shadow of the lion while the lion was in control.

This has to change, the lion will continue to be in control but their nature has to be mixed.

Eugene didn't direct them on how but they know best how to.

And to decide, it shouldn't be based on pride and ego but based on usefulness in this situation.

He knew the lion would reject that idea and so he added with certainty.

'I will perish completely if you fail. Please don't fight it. I don't want to die!'

The last thing the lion wanted was to lose its glorious servant, so it had to concede in this situation and close its eyes.

For a moment, formless shadows that take the form of light and darkness envelop the lion before the lion emerges.

It was five feet high and seven long; its tail was longer than its body and ended with several strands of long black hair that moved on their own.

It hair has become more compact on its body, it eyes has become glassy, and it fangs were mishmash, some were normal but the front ones were pearly

The colour of its hair has changed but somehow was taken the colour of the scenery around, making the lion have an Illusory appearance.

The most changes it had was the appearance of three hearts in its body. One heart of course was where Eugene's life slumber and the other two represented the two beasts.

Their stomach compartment also has duality in it, so also their lungs. Since the lion hasn't begun to roar, it allowed the silent nature of the treader to take on the throat.

The claws were the same but the paw beneath has changed, it made no sound as it moved and avoid the claws from scratching the surface.

There was also a strange circulatory system of blood to make the blood never mixed.

The chimera state they achieve was only possible because they were within this realm and they have consumed considerable amounts of monster here as well as newborn denizen.

There was a reason why humans need a gateway in order to seamlessly bond with beasts and monsters.

The realms beyond the gateway made it possible, allowing intangible things to become tangible and also vice versa.

The transformation wasn't physical but also mental. The lion was cunning as a direct hunter. It may stalk prey that was strong but when faceinh weaker prey, it hunt directly.

That changes greatly.

Silent Treader was a silent hunter, only if it has no choice will it face it prey head on regardless of opponent.

As such, they became hunters that will use their capacity with efficiency.

Of course, the task said wreak havoc. They will do that but until they learn the environment.

There was also a part that said, devour everything. 'Everything' here means anything.

The lion looked at the wall edge and bit into it.

It was hard but the pearly fangs were able to cut through it like a sharp knife and they ate a chunk.

They felt bloated again. The digestion was slower than when they ate the newborn denizen.

In a way, they were eating the Realm itself.

The goal of their chimera form was to digest and distribute the benefits equally and stabilize their condition continuously.

Unknown time passed and they bit it again and again and again. Anytime they felt not bloated, they went for the meal.

Suddenly, the place contracted and was about to crush them; they leaped outside, escaping.

The lion was happy because he felt as if he has infinite stamina and his agility has been taken beyond his wildest dream. Not to mention sharp fangs that can cut through stones with ease.

However, they soon realise the danger of eating the realm itself.

The floor moulded and became like tube and then they were flushed elsewhere.

Their claws cling to the tube walls but the surface became so smooth they can't stay stabbed in anymore and the chimera lion rolled in to an unknown location.

Soon, they fall into another Battle Birth Ground and the fights stopped and the new beast was being stared at.

The chimera trembled and waited to feel any danger, there was none. But it knew it was an illusion. There was something strong here but it doesn't matter unless Newborn was formed.

But who said the newborn is not forming? It looked around as the monster began attacking and it sensed it.

A beautiful delicacy was being made not far from them.

The chimera smiled and jumped on the monster and began to devour them. Indeed they were the recipes for digestion.

The chunk of realm blocks they consumed was hard to digest but the moment it begun eating the monster organs, the digestion accelerated.

It kept its senses on the delicacy forming while it ravaged the Battle Birth Ground until there were few organs left and more were being poured down from the sky.

Suddenly, the newborn was formed inside it cocoon and it cracked and the lion moved and ran away.

The lion wasn't waiting for the newborn to come out and feed on it. No, it was eating to escape after it was born.

This way the Father will stay with its newborn and educate it while the lion runs away.

That didn't happen as a hammer descended so fast and slammed at the chimera lion back.

Multiple bones cracked and shattered but there was no external injury and the lion lay down half dead.

Its plan was a failure. Even if it had tried to escape the moment it came through the tube, the Father would have attacked and used it to feed the newborn.

The newborn stood there after its gender stopped dangling and kneel before its father.

The father touched the head of the newborn and knowledge and skill were imparted.

The newborn extended its hand and the remanants monster organs turned to dust and flow to its hand before they began to transform.

Armour appeared on its chest, neck, and thigh. Then two swords with a saw edge appeared on its hand.

That when it turned to the hammered creature.

The creature was gone.

"Impossible!" The father muttered, it hasn't senses when the chimera lion moved and escaped.

The lion moved the moment it saw the newborn was touched by the father, the silent movement of Silence Treader took effect.

Thanks to the digestion and nature of the Silent Treader the healing of their bones was underway.

Though, it was painful, very painful that almost hindered the lion movements.

Silent Trraeder has to take control as it can handle this form of pain.
