Welcome To Aviara (3)

No. 1. No violence. Especially with magic.

No. 2. No magic for bads.

"Wow..." Alisa muttered, who spontaneously lay down on the bed to start reading everything. In fact, it wasn't just a list of rules, she even saw Aviara's introductory video, the school map, and all the extracurricular lists and school organizations. Weirdly, everything was so fun to read!

But maybe because of the fatigue, after some time, Alisa just fell asleep. With handphone still in her hand and still wearing her uniform too.

Alisa woke up hearing the sound of a bird pecking at her window. At first she just rolled around for a moment enjoying her new bed. But after three seconds of stroking her pillow, Alisa immediately sat up in shock and looked at her handphone.

"Past 4 o'clock, oh my god!" She immediately panicked.

She'd want to immediately rush out of the room. But luckily, as she passed the mirror, she noticed that her appearance was a bit disheveled. Her hair and face were actually fine, but Alisa was sad to see her uniform looking wrinkled. Though luckily she was able to tidy it up right away with a bit of magic, which also legal here!

After finishing, Alisa finally left the room. Her premonition was already bad when she looked at the courtyard, which already looked deserted. She was already behind the others. But even if the ceremony might have already started, Alisa doesn't even know where the hall is.

But luckily she's not the only one. "Alisa!"

"Mary? Mary!" Alisa replied. She wasn't sure at first because Mary loosened her hair. But she finally ran closer to her.

"I thought you had already left. But you're actually late too?" Mary said, laughing at the both of them.

"Hehe, I overslept." Alisa replied shyly.

She then glanced at the pair of girl and boy who were also there. The boy with rather long hair seemed to have glanced at her, but the bespectacled girl seemed to be still busy with her handphone. Maybe because of her ponytail, her neck also looks a bit long. Her fit pink cardigan also made her look slim.

Alisa thought they might be the new students too. But their tie wasn't yellow. It's navy blue, like all the seniors she'd seen at the gate before.

Seeing Alisa who was curious, Mary said it first. "That's Aria and Sena. They said there were usually students who were late like us, so they were told to wait here for half an hour after the other groups left." She said.

"Oh..." Alisa muttered softly. Instinctively Alisa shifted her feet to stick beside Mary. But for some reason, she turned her head back towards the two seniors. "I-I'm Alisa."

The boy didn't reply anything, but the girl touched her glasses for a moment before finally looking at Alisa. Seeing her hiding beside Mary and sticking her head out shyly like that, her first impression of Alisa was that she looked like a kitten.

"You overslept?" Asked the girl with a little smile.

"Y-Yes. I'm sorry."

"Well, it's fine. It's a sleepy hour anyway." She replied lightly.

"You were like this too, I guess?" Mary joined jokingly.

"Sounds like it." Sena answered, which made Aria immediately hit him.

But before he could complain, his eyes then caught a male figure coming out of the dormitory with a confused face. "You, come here quickly!" He called and the boy came closer. Unlike Alisa and Mary, the boy with the messy tie still looked really-really sleepy.

"Well, looks like there's no one else, so let's go now." Aria said while walking ahead. But instead of walking out, Aria walked to the center of the yard. Only then did she take out a handkerchief which then immediately widened and flew up. An instant carpet ride.

"Come on, hurry up before the speech is over."

"..." The three new kids were of course speechless, couldn't believe what they were seeing--even though one of them was a real witch. But after a while, Mary jumped first, followed by Sena. Only after that Alisa also went up, then the boy who was sleepy earlier.

"It's only this once, you know. If you guys are late like this again, you have to find a way for yourself." Sena said. "Well, unless later you can use fly magic or something."

"I hope I can!" Mary exclaimed excitedly even though she was still trembling because she had never flown without a window like this before. That's why she kept holding on to Alisa's arm tightly.

But unlike Mary, Alisa was actually busy stroking the flying handkerchief with an admiring look. Since most wizards can all fly, Alisa heard there was rarely anyone who needed another medium to fly like this. Except her.

'Although I definitely wouldn't choose a thin fabric like this…'

But when Alisa was still smiling like that, the boy beside her was starting to get a bit confused. "What are you doing?" He asked.

"What? Ah, no. I just thought the fabric was good." Alisa replied hastily. The boy seemed to be furrowing his brows, so Alisa quickly looked away from him.

And there, she finally saw a large ballroom starting to appear at the end of the horizon. "Wow. Is the ceremony being held there?"

"Yup." Aria answered, then dropped them all off there. Flying transportation was indeed fast.

The hall was large, but the corrugated roof was really impressive to look at. Rather than an initiation event, it seemed more suitable for them to hold a concert there.

When they went inside, the event of course had already started. But whatever part it was, the one standing on the podium was a female student whose voice was so gentle as well as her smile. Seen from afar, she already looks so shiny.

"Wow, she's so pretty." Mary gasped a little.

"Just sit there." Aria said while pointing at the row of benches at the back. Only then did she and Sena also go to the side of the hall where there were a few other seniors on guard.

The boy immediately closed his eyes again as soon as he sat down. But Mary and Alisa's eyes couldn't stop looking at the podium in front of them. "Is that the council president?" Mary wondered. Though Alisa didn't have time to answer that because the contents of the speech were starting to sound important.

"—Though I'm sure most of you already know about it from the guidebooks on your handphones, just as a precaution, I'll briefly explain from the beginning again." Said the girl at the front.

"So in the past, it was said that our school was founded on an enchanted field which caused the entire area to be shrouded in mysterious magical energy. The result turns out to be able to give magic abilities to everyone who stands above it." She explained, which then immediately made the students boisterous with pleasure.

"But not entirely." She continued in a rather loud voice and everyone returned to silence again. "According to school census data, the ratio of people who can use magic to those who can't, is roughly 80/20, including teachers and other staff. The magical abilities were also varied, so let's just say that it's all based on each one's luck. So please don't hold grudges or be jealous. Like, really."

No. 3. Going against the rules means going against the Student Council.

"But apart from all that, Aviara is still an ordinary school. So if possible I want everyone to focus more on school matters and use your magic only in your free time. Respecting the teachers and loving your friends is the most important."

No. 4. Those who violate any rule must face the punishment.

"And as you can imagine, magic can also harm other people, even yourself. The student council and other seniors will help as much as they can, but your caution is the most crucial thing. Have fun, as long as you don't overdo it. I hope everyone understands."

No. 5. Only under the council orders, exceptions may be made.
