As Silent As A Mouse

I am being hunted. Well, not me exactly. Someone wants to get their hands on the genius behind A.M.K Pharmaceuticals. They just don't know it's me. I have discovered a way to negate anyone's scent, shifter or human. You would think it wouldn't be that big of a deal... deodorants promise the same thing, but my product is nothing like that. My product turns its wearers invisible to shifters. No, not like that. But shifters need scent more than almost anything else to identify and find a person. Without scent, they can't track down their prey, or smell an enemy coming up from behind. I had originally created it so my adopted father and I could avoid the shifter community. No one was supposed to know about it. Until a little birdy said something they shouldn't have to the wrong person. Now the humans are after me and the shifters want me dead. But that's fine. That wasn't the only thing I came up with. And if I am as silent as a mouse, no one will see me coming until it is too late. This will be a RH novel, the FMC will not have to choose. Coffee Number Three

I woke up that morning in a nest of pure black fur.

Ever since the Luna Challenge, my mouse has slept with our mates in shifted form. Last night, I guess she wanted to sleep on top of Dominik, the scent of trees and the forest lulling us to sleep.

My mouse's paws flexed in his thick fur, going as far as to dig into his soft undercoat and pulling up tufts of fur.

'Comfortable?' murmured a deep voice in my mind. I knew that Dominik's wolf was talking to me, but it was still a bit weird for me to hear another voice inside of my head besides my mouse's.

My mouse happily nodded her head like a chicken before getting up, spinning around in a circle a few times, and then lying back down where his hind leg met his stomach. He, too, was curled up in a ball; Lucien was up near his head while Damien's breath was rustling my own fur.

Hell, there was even a black crow sleeping between Dominik and Damien.
