I chuckled at the bright smile on Bernadette's face. As a nocturnal species, it was probably even worse for her to have to work in the morning than it was for me.
"Are both cups for you, or are you sharing?" I asked, reaching forward.
"This one is for you," she answered, holding out the one in her left hand. "A disgusting amount of milk and sugar just for you. I don't know how you drink that stuff. Even the barista was looking at me weirdly. I'm never buying you coffee again, by the way. It is sacrilege to drink it with so much addons."
I shrugged my shoulders, not really caring about her opinion. I hated the taste of coffee, but I loved what caffeine did to me. For that reason, I had learned to mask the bitter taste of the drink with milk and sugar.
It worked out well, the five sugars giving me another much needed burst of energy.
