Chapter 75: Battling Sight and Taste

"Tell your Mom I said hi for me okay?." Atalanta said as she and Aiden proceeded to head back towards the city.

"Mom? she knew Mother?." Alex was stunned for a few seconds about the thought one of the famous heroes in the kingdom knows his mother.

They managed to help out Arthur and Dorothy out while Aiden was wondering,

"Hey sis, how did you know Arthur and the rest were there?."

"Judging from that explosion.. she was expecting us to come and save them but looks like the Student Council got to them first which is also a good thing."

"You knew it was them? just by an explosion?."

"Of course if you'd hang around them all the time you would know this."

Atalanta was hoping from car to car while Aiden was running and avoiding the cars that were parked there, when they saw Oliver running to somewhere.

"Was that?."

"Without a doubt."

Meanwhile in an abandoned factory far from the center of the city, Merlin was staring at the window overlooking the city, they could see from there explosions occurring between buildings, and massive smokes coming from the city itself.

"Oh boyy looks like the city's in crises."

"Ehhh?? you want to head there? suit yourself I don't give a crap on what you do."

"Oh I can't possibly do that I'm tasked on babysitt--."

Tazer gives Merlin a death stare as he rephrases his words and says,

"I mean watch over the two of you.. maybe perhaps you two woul--."

"No need to bring the kid."

"Heh?."

"I'll give you three minutes.. if you're not there I'm leaving you behind."

more reinforcements to protect the city perhaps?.. Merlin lets out a sigh as he wipes the sweat off his forehead saying,

"That was quick.. I thought I had to force him to help me out here, now I hope you and mr. ackerman is safe and sound in this mess.. Dorothy."

Atalanta and Aiden managed to catch up to Oliver who was now catching his breath..

"I was huuuhh looking for the both of you huuhhh."

"Why?."

"The Hero Max has found the mastermind's location." Oliver exclaims as he takes in air again.

"I see."

"Looks like Max has pulled through this time."

"Lead us there Oliver."

"Huhhhh Follow me!!."

Oliver leads them both to where the other members of the Shining Knights went.. since Oliver has been using his mana to use his telepathic ability to keep in contact with the leader this way he could follow the trace of mana leading towards them.

As the three pass by a convenience store that was filled with downed droids..

"Liz come and help me throw this droids outside the store." Dr. Sara says as she carries the droid.

"I'm still pretty exhausted Doctor.. please let me rest for a little longer.."

"Ehhh?? but I helped you know."

"Yeah.. only when you ran out of bullets you then left me outside to deal with the remaining droids out here so of course I'd be exhausted in the end.. I surpassed my limits tonight soo give me a few time to rest."

Liz immediately falls asleep on a pile of droids without any issues or complaints she slept there as if it were nothing.. Liz's limit when summoning her clones were only up to thirty clones for one day..

but after tonight's battle she managed to summon up to fifty clones rivaling the masses of droids and in the process she and her clones won the battle.

Meanwhile at the cave where Cv was staying in trying to repair himself by attaching a random droid's arms... he noticed three people entering the cave as their footsteps echoed all the way from the entrance towards where Cv was repairing himself.

There were two droids next to the repairing leader of the droid army, they were just normal droids like the rest but had weapons made from wood.

"Deal... with ... them..."

The two droids responded to their leader's commands, their red eyes flickered as they got the command and did it afterwards.

"Ohhh? look what we have here.. summoning two servants.. I guess I'll summon mine too."

At the snap of his fingers two people came running towards the two droids, Cv could connect his sight to the droids he chooses, this way he could switch his view from droid to droid and know what's going on outside..

and what he saw were two frightening faces.. one had it's tongue out and was simply enjoying the battle.. and for the other it was aiming at the other droid from the far..

something was different though.. this wasn't a normal Marksman class.. It wasn't using a bow.. or a gun like any person Cv has encountered so far.. it was holding a piece of rock.. clenching it and threw it from a far..

what was frightening was the fact that it was hundreds of meters away and still managed to hit one of the droids from that range without using a weapon.. it clearly relied on it's sights and strength to pull that off.

as for the other droid, It witnessed the person with his tongue out lick the droid's eyes blocking it's sight because of the saliva.

Cv had to then eject his sight back to his personal body to prepare for the incoming attackers..

"Three... enemies..."

They were all wearing hoods so it couldn't see them properly, whether what their genders are or who were they.. all that it knew was that they were out for it.

But as those three intruders arrived Cv was defenseless, it was still not finished with it's repairs, he had functioning arms but it was still busy fixing his legs with what parts it could use from one of the droids it commanded.

The three persons were just standing right in front of the defenseless leader of the droid army.

"Enemy?."

"No.. more like ally."

The person in the middle threw a wooden sword in front of it.

"What... goal.. here?."

"I'm afraid we can't tell you that.... but if you join us we'll be able to tell you."

Cv was still doubting about their words, it knew they want something from it but he just couldn't figure it out.

"You want to destroy these kingdom right?." The man in a black jacket asked.

It nodded it's metal head slowly, as he placed his hat on his chest saying,

"Well now.. we share the same goal my metal friend."

"Are you sure about this Sanity? Master would not be pleased on you deciding who gets to join or not." Sight asked

"Master will allow it.. as long as it benefits our cause.. and this droid along with it's army is a huge benefit to us." muttered Sanity while crouching down to look at the damaged droid.

"What... do you...want?."

"Hmm a little bit laggy but it'll do, Sight is it possible to fix it's voice?."

"It is possible.. if we bring it to my workshop I can try."

"Alright!! we need you to try and do something for us."

both Sight and Taste were on guard and all of a sudden hostile towards Sanity.

"What are you doing Sanity!?!?." Exclaimed the girl with her tongue out, Taste.

"Continue any further and we will kill you!."

"I don't mind but if we want this droid to join our cause he needs a little something to be motivated.. am I right?."

The two were still on their guard even with what Sanity suggested they still wouldn't put their guard down.

"Fine.. If I win this guy joins us."

Without giving them a time to think Sanity immediately threw three knives at Taste, she managed to block two knives but wasn't able to block the third one, it stabbed her arm while summoning his lance out of thin air and was about to pierce Sight's throat.

"Looks like I win.."

"Tchhh."

"Cheap tricks Sanity.."

The two have no problem now that Sanity has won, and even if they didn't agreed Sanity was appointed leader of the Five Pillars after their encounter with Arthur and Dorothy a week ago.

"This is our target.. a little girl and a boy."

He showed the droid a picture of Dorothy and Arthur when they were at the abandoned building.

"Why... teenagers?."

"Don't let their young looks fool you.. these two are the chosen Ruler and Servant Classes in this generation."

"What's.... point?."

"If we could somehow capture them we can use their own power against this boring Kingdom."

"Not.. lying?."

"Of course I'm not lying.. but if it's too hard for you we will bring you to our base of operations and fix any damaged materials you have."

After hearing Sanity's plan Cv agreed to it.. it lasted for a few minutes but he was finally done with his legs and decided to go look for Dorothy and Arthur..

Cv can use the memory the droids share to go search for them.. as Cv memorized their faces he could quickly look for them as long as the two encountered it's droids.

It searched, searched and searched until it found a memory before a droid was sliced in half by a little girl.. it wasn't Dorothy Cv found but.. behind the little girl was a swordsman with moppy hair, a swordsman that resembles the face in the picture.

Cv looked for another droid's memory that was close the last droid's location.. and found a new area.. one looking from behind them and this time Dorothy was really visible.. a girl with short hair holding a staff.

"Found... them..."

as Cv directly went and search for them, leaving the cave Sight was still concerned and asked,

"Are you sure we can trust that bucket of bolts Sanity?."

"Yes, I just know it."

"But did you really had to aim for my arm back there geez.. ouch!." Taste exclaims as she removes the knife from her arm.

Sanity senses multiple presence close by, his eyes squinted at the direction of the presences he sensed.

"Let's go.. we need to take care of those tailing our new friend." He muttered.

Max and the other Shining Knights were heading towards the cave, they were somewhat still hanging on, considering how far they ran without breaks or stops, Oliver was still leading Atalanta and Aiden towards them meaning they're on their own for now until they would arrive.

"Something's wrong..." Max said.

"What do you mean?."

"The scent is moving farther from the cave, does it know we're coming to it?."

"I don't think Cv cou--- Look out!!!." Connor exclaimed as he warns everyone.

multiple rocks were heading towards them, if Connor hadn't warned them earlier they wouldn't have had time to react.

They all dodged it safely, Max's dog's were on high alert and were growling like crazy, some were barking nonstop, the others know what this meant, Someone is coming to them and it could be the enemy.

Everyone had their weapons ready, Violet and Connor with their swords, Xander with his knuckles, Emilia knocking her bow, Arthur readying his Lance and Max borrowing one of the strengths of his other dogs and went all fours on the ground.

It was silent, they thought no one was coming, until another batch of rocks were hurled towards them.

"Dodge them!!." Connor yelled.

They all managed to dodged the rocks and no damage was taken from that either until three people were getting closer, their silhouettes getting closer and closer.

"Everyone be ready! they might be unfriendly!."

One silhouette leaped from the air, a girl with her tongue out crashed unto the ground in front of Connor and Violet.

"Ohh geez looks like I overdid it again.. Oh? looks like you two will be my prey for tonight Hehehehe." She plunged towards them while sharpening her claws and extending their range.

They both parried the swipes using their swords but she was too fast to parry all her strikes even with the two of them.

as Xander, Emilia and Cameron were about to head there and help Connor and Violet a metal sign post came crashing in front of them.

"How rude to ignore a nice fellow like me." Sight gives them a chillingly smile.

Xander immediately reacted and protected both Cameron and Emilia from the incoming mail box with his fists.

[When did he?? strange I never saw him lift anything up] Cameron thought.

"That's because he was too fast.. that you couldn't see hi---!!."

Xander once again punches a fire hydrant protecting the two of them, Like them he couldn't see when the enemy would throw something he just knew instinctively when to block the thrown debris with his fists.

[I need to think of something quickly] Xander thought to himself.

While on fours Max was pretty much serious about who he's facing, the aura of the person in front of him was no joke. the huge intimidating aura was quite terrifying.

"Looks like I'll be your opponent, Lone Hero Max." Sanity grabs two knives under his hat.

"It's an honour to be recognized by the enemy.. hope you won't disappoint me."

He commanded his other dogs to wait for the right time to strike, he knew that if he commanded all of them to attack the enemy at once almost everyone would be killed right there.

Sanity threw the two knives at Max without hesitation and at the last second one of his dogs came in and caught the knives.

"What!?."

"Never underestimate man's best friend!!!." He yelled.

as his main dog, a siberian wolf came from behind and tackled his body to the ground, while one dog bit his hand pinning it on the ground, but because he still had one arm left he managed to grab a third knife under his pocket and stabbed the siberian wolf's paw forcing it to leave Sanity's back.

"Move away from there now!!!." Max yelled with all his might as he tackled Sanity himself away from the dogs.

Meanwhile Connor and Violet were still parring with Taste's sharp claws there seems to be no one loosing both grounds, they all have their resolves prepared.

"Brother!!." Violet pushed her leader away as she took the other three claws from the enemies other hand.

"V-Violet!!!." he exclaimed.

She sliced the claws in half and moved away from the woman while she was busy mourning for her lost claws.

"What are you doing Violet!?.... Are you alright??." Connor asked as she checks her armor.

"It was just a scratch nothing too serious." She replied breathing rapidly.

Three sharp claws managed to pierce through her left arm, the bleeding wouldn't stop so Connor tore a piece of his sleeves and tie it around Violet's injured arm, stopping the bleeding in the process.

[Oliver, do you read me?]

[Huh?? It's been thirty minutes what's going on over there!?]

[I need you to find the droid]

[I thought you guys were heading towards the droid's location!?]

Oliver, Atalanta and Aiden were still heading towards their location but a sudden change of events has occurred.

[Oliver we've faced a few villains here.. and the droid is on the move.. we don't know where it went since Max is dealing with one of the villains here.. we'll catch up to you guys find that droid!]

Connor lost focus and severed the communication of telepathy, Oliver knew by then what they have to do..

"Easy for you to say.. we don't exactly know where to look."

"Any word from Connor and the others?." Atalanta asked.

"They're facing villains right now." He clenches his fists knowing that he can't do anything for them at the moment.

"Then we have to go and help them right?."

"Noo.. Connor told me we have to search for the mastermind of this invasion."

"Do we have any clue to where this thing is?."

"I don't.."

Cameron tries to hinder Sight's movements by distracting him with his spear meanwhile Emilia would hide in the distance and try to look for an opening to take her shot.

Sight grabbed a pole and parried it with Cameron's spear, the two clashed but there was no victor, neither one of them would show weakness of their movements and their skills.

"I respect your skills as a lancer class... well if my class were lancer that is."

He shows him a diabolical smile, kicks Cameron backwards and aimed the pole at a specific area.

Cameron knew where that would land and he directly leaped in the air right when Sight threw the pole, Cameron was prepared for it and blocked the pole with his spear, he slammed the pole unto the ground, he was prepared for it...

but...

"Predictable."

Sight came up behind him in the air and slammed Cameron into the ground using his fists.

As Sight landed on the ground staring at the downed boy on his feet as if it were a mere bug trying desperately to fight a lion someone from the distance was pissed about this and took her shot.

Sight noticed this from a mile away and caught the arrow as if it were nothing, calm and confident he never expected what would happen next.

"Thank you for keeping your eyes on them." Xander appeared behind the overconfident Sight of the Five Pillars and landed a strong blow in the stomach.

And it wasn't just that, Emilia shot five arrows, all hitting both the arms and Sight's legs.

Kneeling on the ground, vomiting blood, it looked like it was a win for them.. Emilia lets out a sigh of relief as it was finally over.. or was it?

Oliver and the others were still searching in different areas close to where there are swarms of droids for a chance they may spot the mastermind but so far they haven't seen it.

Max leaps from building to building, creating more speed to his attack, he bounces off the walls back to back until he catapult himself towards Sanity.

He dodged the Hero's attack and grabbed he's leg spun him around and then threw him into a building.

"You won't defeat me that way Hero!!."

Sanity proceeded to enter the building Max was thrown into without any other thoughts.

Connor managed to graze Taste's cheek while Violet managed to wound Taste's left leg immobilizing her agile movement.

"Violet! get away from her immediately." Connor yelled out as he readied his sword.

She leaps backwards away from the woman who seems to be up to something.. her face was smiling, in a situation like this.. she was smiling, her eyes were so filled with joy she would drool over her mouth.

"I wanna taste you all so badly!!." She says to herself while placing both hands on her face.

"Brother!!."

Behind him was Taste, without giving him any time to think her tongue became sharp as her claws and managed to stab Connor's right eye.

It was at the blink of an eye, she was standing in front of them and the next was she appeared behind him and took his right eye.

"Brotherrrrrr!!!!!." she yelled out in pain for her brother getting stabbed in the eye.

Connor who just lost his right eye managed to back away from her, Taste then retracts her claws and splits her tongue into more pieces, she basically spat out multiple more sharp tongues at Violet who was rushing towards her with no plan whatsoever.

however Connor managed to grab Violet right on time before she would've been impaled by all those sharp tongues.

"Calm yourself Violet." mutters Connor who was barely holding himself together.

"But you lost your e--!."

"It doesn't matter, I would rather loose my eye, hands or legs if I care than loose my little sister.. now don't get yourself killed didn't I give you that order?."

"YES BOSS!!."

They both hid inside a random building hiding from their enemy, a tactical retreat you may call it that.

"Oy! Oy! playing hide and seek are we now? That's no fun."

"So do you have a plan on how we're going to beat her Brother?."

"I do.. and it's a bit risky.. but we're gonna have to take it to survive."

Taste was still searching for the two, walking around, checking inside the buildings by attacking the inside using her sharp tongues.

Violet was waiting for the right time to strike. exhausted from everything she still went along with it in order to live another day.

"This is getting boring you know!." Taste aims all her tongue inside a building.

Violet then charges towards her, with her only weapon pre occupied Violet would have to charge at Taste as fast as she could to take the shot and stab the enemy.

"Fool!." she uttered.

She then redirected her tongues towards the incoming Knight, slashing the walls in half and as they made contact with her sword they were in a lock.

but..

Connor appeared right behind her and without giving her a time to evade his attack he immediately aimed for her neck and made her fell unconscious.

"It's our win!." He clenches his fists as they have won this battle.
