With her birth, hope was restored, though they did not understand how it was possible for this to happen when they had deemed it impossible.
When she was born, a phantom moon appeared. This caused them no end of excitement, they finally thought that their Legacy will be reborn through her. so, they began looking for ways to strengthen her, but in a world that had no precious herbs and heavenly materials all that remained was feasting on flesh. But most inhabitants were inedible, and they would be corrupted by the madness that plagued them. If they chose to indulge in their flesh.
But it seemed like Kyrios was immune to this.
Thus, they resorted to feeding her with members from the clan, and the only ones that survived this onslaught were those that were chosen to be part of her pack or the elders of the clan, these survived the madness of cannibalism. But they were charged with the responsibility of becoming part of the wolves that will bring them back to the light of their world in glory and honor.
On other days they would not have allowed her to move out of their grounds, but the numbers of their members had reduced to an abysmal number and if she was fed any more, then they would not be a clan anymore by the time she grew strong enough to fight their way back into their ancestral world. And so, they sent her out to hunt for her own food.
And to hunt she did, everywhere she went slaughter ensued. Many abominations lost their lives, and she did not mind whether she could eat them or not. She killed every creature she found, if she did not find you edible, she would kill you out of anger for being useless.
She would say to herself, if you cannot be food then why should you live, what I do helps to put you out of the misery for being born unlucky.
Her hunting spree came to a stop when she meant an abomination that had no face and had the legs of her kind.
Her memory from that point was blurry at best she does not even remember how she was wounded to this degree. But through the recurring pictures in her mind. She could see herself run mad on sighting the abomination's visage. With her madness she killed her pack mates, and what a fierce battle it was.
Her pack fought hard to bring her away without hurting her too much, but she killed each and every one of them, but it is not like they would have been successful. And after she killed them, she swallowed all their corpses, one by one, as that abomination watched on like it was enjoying a sensual play.
It was only after the last of her pack was gone into her belly that she snapped out of her madness. And what a sight it was that she witnessed. She saw as that abomination went on to play in their silver blood. Like a child playing in mud, he enjoyed the sensation of rubbing it on his skin.
She was so enraged that she wanted to bite his head of its neck, but she found her body immobile, as it refused to obey her commands. It shivered from instinctual fear and terror and the source seemed to be that abomination. She was enraged at herself, and especially when she saw that mischievous glint that flashed through its eyes as it saw her struggles.
Then the next things that happened came up blank in her mind. And here she was, sprawled on what looked like a feasting table, as her life slipped through cracks on her body slowly. It was only now that she realized that she was powerless. And her Queenly pride cost her life. If maybe she had been more careful then maybe she would not have attracted the attention of this monstrosity.
She felt regret. Regret that her clan would never be able to rise again, regret that her pack died just to fatten her up before she herself would become food for another.
But all these emotions had nothing to do with the Kyrios and the children, all that they saw was prey, prey that was oozing such a delicious scent. And especially to Kyrios who found the smell of her emotions especially appetizing and if it was up to him, he would wish to torture her some more just to make those emotions more appetizing.
The children cared not if she was royalty or not, or maybe if it would make her more appetizing. Apart from that little mattered to them.
After placing the beast on the table, he moved to the grandest seat on the table and sat down. The chair was fashioned to mimic a throne of a god. It was made with black wood that had been shaped into skulls of heavenly beings and there were very many other small details that were curved into the wood. The wood was black like the night sky making it seem mysterious and beautiful. There seemed to be reason for its make, for all the other chairs were made to look dull probably intentionally. It was placed at the head of this long table and was purposefully made to be center of attraction for the whole feast.
Probably, during the days of sacrificial worship, it was left empty on assumption that their god would sit there as he ate with them
The fur coat of the beast reflected the lights of the candles in a gorgeous soft manner. The reflected light fell on the face of Kean making it seem otherworldly. The children whose hunger was about to consume them, controlled their urges. With expert control they sat down in their chairs and waited for what Kean had to say.
The moment they sat the whole temple quietened down, an invisble aura of majesty was emitted from him. Kyrios and the children did not know if they were hallucinating or not but there seemed to be an image pf a great being with great wide wings that could cover an entire world, super impose with Kean's image. Even the grieving beast was lost in the majesty that Kean exuded.
What do mortal minds know of Majesty?...The morbid truths it hides?..
