P.A :Two

I watched as Gina's sleek black sport's car moved away from my driveway . She zoomed way leaving me standing there like an idiot and mostly going home .

Gina is my best friend since we were in diapers . Our parents usually met occasionally since her parents were the Alpha of our pack and my parents were the Beta . People knew better than to mess with us ,not because we were from the Alpha and Beta family but because of our fighting skills . We were the best of the best and no one except her younger brother and my eldest brother have ever managed to bet us but it was mere luck, plus they tricked us .

I turned and checked the house . Light were still on in ever room which was weird . Its usually the kitchen lights that are on in such an alarming hour . I was in high alert not letting any essential detail pass me . Before I opened the front door I listen keenly , all I could get was harsh whispers and some shouting . It put me on edge .

I usually did not use the front door but my curiosity and confusion drove me to a new level and made me use the front door. I shut the door behind me softly not to catch to much attention . Regardless they wouldn't have noticed since their in each other's throats . I walked to the living room and found , my whole family still up and the adults were shouting and none of them was listening to the other . My triplets , Cole and Alexander looked confused and misplaced . I stood there for like a whole five minutes just letting the show unfold itself waiting for anyone to notice me .Alexander noticed me and panick was written in his face .

"Guys ." Alexander started out but failed miserable at catching everyone's attention . He looked frustrated and ran his has through his black hair .

He looked at me and I just shrugged at him .As I looked closely his eyes were drooping ,I checked my watch and saw it was way his bed time . This guy loved his sleep more than anything I ever know . This must be serious if he is still up until now .

"Guys " I shouted catching their attention . They all turned in synchrony as if they had practiced it but I knew better . I raised my eyebrows" What's happening here?"

They remaining silent . It was as if they were caught taking cookies from the cookie jar . I walked towards the one seated couch and plopped my exhausted self on it and looked each of my family members straight in the eye ,as I waited for them to say something .

"So now you guys won't talk and you have been at each other's throats for like before I came . " I laugh sarcastically drumming my fingers on my thighs. Since I knew no one would talk except for one . I placed my angelic face and a bright smile that I could put the sun to shame.

" Cole " I said directing my attention to him . He looked like he could cry at that moment . The others were just looking him with harsh stares daring him to say a word .

" I can't ... Not this time Amber." He said as his jungle green eyes tried to search for any escape route .

"You didn't even wait to hear what I was going to say . " I said with a lazy pout . " I wanted to give you the VIP tickets to Xhilla and my car , cause I know you love that band but it seems like I will just give the tickets to Serenity . "

Every one knew the hatred Cole has for Serenity. They were once best friends but they just grew apart . If I was the moon goddess I would pair them together .

"No your using those mind games of yours . " He said observing me very keenly while maintaining the perfect eye contact . He would know by this if all I was saying was all a lie or not. I really lie ,and if I do I just had to . Regardless who would Cole be if he does not take the risk even when am lying to save my ass .

"Cole I will double her deal and you will have the lake house . " Your father says . This was actually weird never in my whole life have I ever heard my father give anyone that lake house . He is usually too personally with it . This come as a shock to everyone in the room .

The room grew tenser by the minute .

Cole stands up from the arm rest he was seating on and faces our Dad . All I could see was guilt and confusion with a hint of exhaustion . " No Dad , it's either now or never . You can't keep her in the dark for long .The ugly truth with come out and it's better her knowing it from us rather than a stranger. It will make her hate all of you if we keep it hidden any longer."

Defeat and guilt was the only thing I could see flashing in my father's face until it returned neutral as if he is going to war .

I cut in ," Are you dying Dad ?"

" Sadly it's not that but it's something else crucial . " Daniel my older brother said , He had a very serious face . You could see the strain of training to be a Beta had taken a toil on him .

"Then what is it." I said not nothing the out come .

I never knew the meaning of curiosity killed the cat ,but there and then I felt the nine life's of that cat being snatch away .

My mother's beta female voice spoke up before any of the men in the house could. " I will tell you but in no account will you interrupt me. It all began eighteen years ago at the lake house . I was eight months pregnant with Cole and Alexander . Being the female Beta and carrying twins was overbearing and risky ,since the moment I knew I had twins I moved to the lake house away from the pack . If the rouges had word about it they would use that as a weakness to attack the pack. I knew I was almost due maybe a week or two I would have my precious pups soon ." she looked at them with love and pride ,her eyes then moved to me and showed more love ,pride and protection.

"Then that fateful night I wanted to view the lake . Lake Ares is know for it's beauty at night . I then noticed a basket floating near the shore since Henry wasn't around I entered in the water and took the basket . Call it curious ." she laughed lightly making the atmosphere less tensed.
