Seeing that Gloria opened her eyes, Nydia said with a smile, "Right on time. I knew you'd wake up now. Sweetie, have this soup and replenish your energy."

Gloria got out of the blanket, which made Nydia anxious. "Easy, I'll help you to get up. You're a patient and should take care."

She didn't know what to say.

Nydia then saw her siting up like a healthy person.

"Are you pretending that you're injured?" Nydia sized her up.

Gloria was amused and laughed, "Nope."

Nydia let out a sigh. "You're a tough lady. You should be softer."

As soon as her voice died away, Jordy came back. Since the door to the bedroom was locked, neither Gloria nor Nydia heard the light movement outside.

He stopped in his tracks and stood still.

Gloria smiled, "Whether I'm soft or not, you care about me, so why bother?"
