Nydia frowned and looked at Gloria. She could no longer hold back. "Who attacked you? Did they hurt the wrong person? Or someone is targeting you?"

"I'm not sure," Gloria smiled. "Go back to sleep. Don't worry, I'll be fine."

She didn't tell Nydia the truth. That would make her friend worry.

Nydia let out a sigh. "Well then, have a good rest. If you need anything, be sure to call me any time. I don't see a reliable man in Jordy."

Gloria chuckled, "I will."

Nydia then left despite her reluctance.

When she got back, George was seen sitting on the sofa. His face was sullen. She frowned and question him, "Why didn't you tell me about Gloria's injury?"

George glanced at her and replied, "She forbad me to tell you."

"And you listened to her? She needs care! How did Jordy take care of things? A mole may sneak in if you find someone else to look after her."
