Chapter 158 A Gray Wolf

Beth's POV

　　Late at night, the palace was quiet.

　　I opened my eyes and looked at Aaron, who was asleep soundly next to me. Then I sat up quietly, draped my coat over my shoulders, walked out of the room, and closed the door gently.

　　Aaron had been worn out recently. He had fought with Queen Wolf, and he had been tense for a few days in a row, so he needed to rest properly. I covered my withered and dead right hand with my sleeve and walked to the lawn outside the palace.

　　The changes in my body as well as Emma's curse weighed on my heart like a heavy stone, making me unable to sleep. I had to sneak out for air.

　　The sky was glittering with countless stars. Just as I wanted to find somewhere with beautiful scenery to sit down, a familiar figure in the distance surprised me. It was Nina, who arrived earlier than me. With her legs curled, she sat on the lawn with her arms around her knees.
