Alexander took note of this timeline deviation as he has no recollection of his grandfather having interactions with the past-future's so-called 'reigning queen of kick-butt'.
Thinking of kick-butt, he was quite looking forward to how the little Alice would react to his grandfather's mishaps. Would his old grandpa be T-virused by a little girl?
Disappointingly but within expectation, their suburban lawn was not a Resident Evil movie and everything was simple to resolve.
"It's okay, old sir. Just know that I am Milla Jovovich." The little girl that should just be nine years old was magnanimous enough to forgive the strange mistake of the old man in front of her.
Before tagging along, her mother had informed her about this old sir's identity and she didn't want to disappoint her mother by being cheeky.
"You gave this old sir his peace of mind. To let bygones be bygones, why don't you call me Grandpa Sullivan from now on?" Sullivan smiled refreshingly as he rarely interacted with a normal kid and he now had an impulse to be a nominal grandfather.
His grandson was way beyond normal that this Milla girl should help his stifled grandpa heart be able to do granddad responsibilities.
As much as Alexander was weirded out, so was little Milla who turned to her mother for answers for this confusing turn of events.
When she saw Galina give a nod of encouragement, Milla still had reservations but she joyfully said. "Okay!"
"Haha! Little Milla, you just don't know how much your little 'okay' healed your grandpa Sullivan's heart." Sullivan was quite happy with the new connection as he patted his chest and positively said. "I can tell you are going to be helpful through some weird times I'm going to go through with a certain little boy with fearful aspirations."
Alexander had nothing to say to that disguised arrow clearly pointed at him. He was just digesting as to why this grandfather of his already took in a nominal granddaughter within minutes of their meeting.
Has his recent quirks damaged the normally scheming and collected grandpa that he has in his memory?
Whatever the case, Galina was quite happy as she also spectated the god-grandfather relationship form.
"Before the summer sun could dry us all, shall we head inside?" Sullivan welcomingly gestured after their greetings and preliminary interactions were settled.
"Of course, of course. After you, Mr. Creed." Galina obliged while taking the quiet Milla's hand lest she makes a childish scene that would compromise the positive flow of this meeting.
------
It was then at the living room that this visitation's goal was made clear.
"Mr. Creed is the job really as your notice points it out to be?" Galina asked as she needed clarification on those parts. "There is no cleaning and all that needed."
"Yes. Alex isn't too fussy of a kid. Besides, I could always hire people to clean the place when necessary." Sullivan could take pride in that fact while also lamenting on it. "I am going to be caught up in being a hands-on producer for some time and this little guy also has stuff that makes him unable to follow me around."
"You noted that I only need to be checking in once in while? Would that be okay?" Galina asked while also giving out her best example. "Even I don't dare to leave Milla too much at home and she's about a year or so older than little Alex here."
"Alex is just built differently." Sullivan reassured the lady once again. "I've also enlisted some other people to help with that. You don't have to worry too much as Alex has his subordinates to handle other parts of his day."
"Subordinates?" Galina could only look weirdly as she failed to grasp how that can connect with this. How does a boy even have subordinates? It can't be imaginary friends, is it?
"You'll get to know them soon enough." Sullivan changed the topic lest the lady becomes fearful of Alexander. "I just need someone like you to guarantee to some troublesome folk if ever there comes a time for that."
Galina had some reservations with these simple but paying job descriptions but since she was the one always urging for this opportunity, she simply said. "I can do that, Mr. Creed. Shall we flesh out some rules to follow then?"
The situation was simply timely and perfect for her. It was a routine babysitting scenario with great pay while enriching her connections with a family that has a film production company.
"Let's get to work then." Sullivan was approving of her decisive decision despite the misty circumstances of his request and the agenda she has in mind.
Hence, the guidelines were being set to help things become clear for the lady.
-----
Alexander could only go with his grandfather's peculiar employment flow as he also took part in setting guidelines.
Semi-full babysitting day during Sundays. Monday to Saturday is just a routine check that can be done from time to time. Ordering meals if needed and even granting guest bedroom privilege courtesy of Milla's nominal granddaughter identity.
It was a complex but flexible babysitting schedule that was tailored to Alexander's intricacies while also somewhat favoring the Jovovich ladies.
In any case, this fated meet-up mystery was revealed as Alice's mother became the babysitter option that old Sullivan had long delayed.
For Alexander, who has a higher outlook on everything due to his future foreknowledge, could only put two and two together.
If his death momented memory serves him right, Milla Jovovich's parent has served as cleaners to get by with their emigration and coping with the American environment.
He can't remember the exact time of Mr. and Mrs. Jovovich's divorce but given the earlier Milla Loginova incident, then they might have already done so.
Some details elude him but he knew that they were a previously affluent family with Mr. Jovovich being some doctor and Misses Galina being a former Russian actress.
That all seems to have changed after their many travels due to the political unrest in their homeland
When Alexander compared their story to the Creed family's origin of being forced out of England due to trouble with nobles, he could more or less connect why his grandfather was giving favorable babysitting conditions.
As for why Mrs. Loginova is full of 'enthusiasm' for the weird job, then that may have to do with her hidden ambition to return into the acting spotlight while also paving the way for Milla's career.
It would seem that his re-life may have changed some course of things. Instead of just being cleaners to Carrie director de Palma, they stumbled their way unto the new Back to the Future producer.
As for how this tiny chaos butterfly detail would change little Miss Jovovich's life trajectory, one could only leave that mystery for the future to know.
In the end, Alexander finally has the check-in babysitter when old Sullivan would be busy while the past-future Alice somehow became his nominal grand-sister.
This is a work of fiction and a lot of unresearched topics so don't bash my trashy work too much.
