Chapter 3 ~ The meeting

"So I was actually impressed on seeing your creations on your page and Mr Heron also recommended that I choose you for the event. "

"Oh yes I do remember Mr Heron." the business tycoon who ordered around 500 candles with his company's name to be written on it. He also ordered a wax sculpture of his great grand-father; the founder of the company. I remember pulling 5 all-nighters in a week and I was undoubtedly exhausted. I was paid around a hundred dollar but my sister stole it and my parents never took action.

Every time I would ask her she would tell mom and dad that I accused her of stealing and my parents would ground me. As much as I love my family, deep inside I know that they would never let me succeed.

It feels better being lowkey and independent now.

"I was recently casted for my dream movie as the leading actress and therefore I will be throwing a party in 3 weeks. I'd love to place huge wax sculptures along the entry and in the garden area."

"What kind of designs are you looking for?" I asked

"I am actually going to turn my garden into a different world. So a medium size tree of life with banks of red roses and some statues of myself. I'd love if you could make huge cubes of wax with lights inside. Lots of celebrities will be present so I'd love to make the setting unique."

"Oh"

"And in terms of candles I would love around 350 of them to place on each table. Lilac scented candles but since green is my favorite color then you could make them green but just like moss."

A lady entered with two hot chocolate and placed them on the table.

"I can certainly help you with that but my apartment is really small to make them so I guess I'll have to rent..."

"Oh you do not have to worry, you will get to do it here itself in the craft hall plus I will buy the materials as you say. I will give you an authorization pass and if ever anyone asks you anything just show them the pass." she said as she sipped her hot chocolate gracefully

"In that case, I'd love to work for you." I said as my stomach tickled

"Let's consider this a deal then Miss Adelaide. By the way I will definitely pay you but we shall discuss the full payment after you have completed the project."

"Definitely." I agreed as she made me sign a document. The hot chocolate was marvelous, it felt like a cloud of chocolate melting in my mouth....such a delicacy.

After talking for some more time she waved at me when Miss Celina and I took the stairs to go back. While walking back to the entrance a woman approached her.

"Miss Celina, Little sir came back from the gym and has ordered for a frappe and five pancakes."

"Tell him that he shall get it in 5 minutes." Miss Celina replied sternly

As soon as I reached near the pool area, I saw a black Bugatti Veyron parked next to the car that came to fetch me from my apartment and it appeared that there was someone inside. The car was more spectacular when you saw it right in front of your eyes. I got in the car while trying to peep when I felt chills over my body.

I made eye contact with the most piercing eyes I had ever seen in my life. A green colored eye just like Miss Stephania's sofa. I could not see his face because he was wearing a mask but the way he looked at me was enough to freeze my soul and that is when I broke eye contact and dipped.

I heard the door of his car open and that is when I removed my mask from my clutch and quickly wore it.

"Dylan I am sorry but I need a favor. Max is coming today but I'm tired so please pick him up for me" I heard a manly yet young voice talk to the driver while I pretended to look at my phone.

He turned to go away. Thank god.

"Don't worry we'll go fetch him." the driver replied

"Wait but where are you going right now?" he asked

OH NO. Did he just...? ARGhh

"We are dropping this beautiful lady back to her apartment." he replied while looking at me and I just let out an awkward little grin.

"Oh. Carry on then" he said in a cold tone and locked his car

Thank god..... Wait...why was I freaking out so badly? Adel what is wrong with you? STOP it right now. It is just green eyes.

Finally I was back home with Laila on my lap as I watched my favorite Korean Drama. Today I was a step closer to affluence but something seemed much better in my life. It was the soothing atmosphere , the busy yet calm life , the simple structure of my apartment and the happiness of doing my tasks by myself. There was not much going on in my everyday life but I was still grateful for Gabi, the bubble tea shop, my business page and just everything in life.

I had now undertaken a new task that would help me elevate in life. Imagine those rich actors and actresses taking pictures of my creations and posting it everywhere on social media and finally earning enough money to go on trips and save money for my country side house.

I switched off the lights and went to sleep after a long yet pretty day.
