For our first job officially working together, Lake Manitoc, Wisconsin, was not the ideal setting. From the moment we got into town things were awkward at best. Dean kept giving me the stink eye while flirting with Selene who was answering his questions cold and indifferently.
I was showing Sam blood samples and DNA strands along with telling him the old family history. It was all very scientific and technical but very clearly not supernatural but instead an obvious mutation from a plague long ago.
I gave him the specifics of what we did over the last year as well as how we cleaned up. I also mentioned that I'd begun studying magic, exorcism, and pretty much every sort of mystical mumbo jumbo out there as well as showing him my hard drive full of information on the supernatural world that we'd gathered and I'd added to.
Everything from spells to religious and ritualistic phenomena. I'd even helped him learn a few tricks like spirit purification incantations and forceful exorcisms of ghost possessed individuals.
Dean called it geek speak but Sam was interested enough to learn it well. I'd also figured out why I kept receiving limiters from my parents as I entered a new reality. It seems that a god has to adapt to the reality gradually to use his full powers as the realities in question are usually attuned to many gods and therefore would collapse in on themselves as the snapped from the strain if we all came into it forcefully bending the laws of said realities to our whim.
I'd gone so far as to limit my own power this time down to practically beginner witch levels and my physical body to that of just my hybrid and regular body forms. The rest of my abilities were locked away as they only became stronger as I went and grew slowly from each reality I visited until I was ready for the war of the gods.
So I really was just using pure knowledge and the magic's channeled from myself and nature in my runes, spells, and exorcisms. When we arrived, Selene and Dean went off to get info on our new beastie, and Sam and I tracked the records as far back as we could.
I found the article on a missing boy and the cop's assumption that it was left near the lake and therefore the boy must've drowned. I gave Sam my theory that we were looking for the ghost or a vengeful spirit and it was taking it's revenge because the lake was about to be drained and either its body would be found or this was simply it's last chance to get revenge before its soul was sucked away with the lake.
Selene came back with Dean who was hinting at a lake monster and Sam showed him our findings before he agreed that it might be a vengeful spirit. "Great, so if it's body is in the lake, which unlucky bastards volunteering to go in and get it?"
I smirked. "We don't need to. A cup of holy oil, a five-pound bag of salt, and some rosemary and I can do a purification ritual on the lake. If his sou and body really is in there-"
Dean surmised. "Then he'll be purified and sent wherever he's going. Awesome, let's get this show on the road then."
I chuckled and Selene raised an eyebrow. "You're doing the shopping for the salt."
I shrugged. "We have enough holy oil and rosemary so Sam and I can grab the salt."
Dean snapped his hands. "Great and grab some pie while you're at it. Oh and beer!"
I waved him off and tossed Sam the keys to my car. He raised an eyebrow and I shrugged, laying back in my seat as I got in. "Selene likes to drive and I'm too lazy to care one way or the other. I figured you might drive and I'll talk shop."
He smiled and got in. "So, what languages do you speak?"
I snorted. "Every language. I learned a spell a while back that translates whatever I say or write into any language I want as well as the reverse. It's pretty basic and it only costs a bit of energy but it translates flawlessly for me so I'm happy with it."
I spoke in Latin before doing the spell and shifted to Urdu, Chinese, Russian, Babylonian, and finally English as he got the gist of it. I made sure to grab the pie and beer as well as some barbecue before leaving Sam for a bit while I hunted down a rapist and drained a few pints with a needle and tube.
I left said rapist tied up with his video collection on the small-town police station's front porch. He had no memory of me or how he got there but the evidence was clear enough as they found him and hauled him away.
I joined up with Sam at the pool supply and hardware store. There he got a bunch of salt and we loaded up before heading back. I set up a cooler for the beer and human food I could no longer quite enjoy for now and we arrived ten minutes later to the docks Dean and Selene were talking to some woman that looked oddly enough like Winifred Burkle and Illyria from the slayer reality.
I poured some holy oil into the lake before lighting it aflame and chanting with burning rosemary. With a nod, Sam poured in the salt and the lake flashed clear for a second and became see-through until a spirit was ejected from it as a dark mass. It was too late though as said spirit was caught in the flames and cleansed.
Finally pure, it rose above the lake and vanished into mist. The fire went out and a body floated to the top of the lake. We fished it out and called the cops while I cleaned up any evidence of the ritual involved. When the police arrived, the woman that ended up being the sheriff's daughter, told them it floated up while she was telling the sad story of the lake being drained soon.
The sheriff looked a bit spooked as he was actually guilty of drowning the boy whose body we found but he quickly covered it up as no wrongdoing. While we left, Sam handed Dean his beer and pie while Selene leaned on me, feeding on my blood that was flush with human blood.
When she finished, I wiped her mouth while I healed visibly before she moved out of the way. Feeling chipper, Selene told them of her time as a death dealer and her training days. I mentioned my time as a doctor and surgeon before it all happened and they were a bit stunned.
I was a nobodies licensed surgeon as well as a badass monster killer. Sam mentioned studying for his law degree and I told him he should do so. "Passing the bar no matter the state, makes you legally able to defend yourself in court like a proper lawyer. They'll take you far more seriously if you know what your doing rather than just as some young guy overconfident in his failed college time. Besides, it'll give you something to make extra cash on the side with if you consult online while you're moving around on the go. Extra cash never hurt anyone."
They both agreed it was possibly a great idea as while the best colleges won't admit it, in the end, they're all learning the same thing and the bar isn't dependent on the college you go to but is a state and federally funded independent association that holds all lawyers up to a certain standard.
I myself am getting my own medical license transferred to the state's standards along the way and I'd have to do a few tests but it wasn't hard to see it through along the way. A week later Sam knocked on our hotel room door to make sure we were ready for our next hunt.
It turned out to be a demon taking down planes after forty minutes into each flight. I went up in the plane with Sam and took care of the demon while Selene and Dean made sure to pick us up at the next airport layover. It wasn't that hard as I smelled him out and he talked the stewardess into inviting the pilot into the back.
He did the first part while I held the demon down and when he finished, I completed the exorcism, sending the demon to hell. From there we broke off and I warned the brothers to get tattoos to prevent possessions.
I gave them picture copies of my warding so that they could get their own before Selene and I left them. They considered us hunters with perks and while we were weird, we weren't dangerous to humans so we were square in their books mostly.
Dean still had issues with not ganking us as he calls it but he wasn't dumb enough to try taking us on without knowing our weaknesses either. Selene and I began our own hunting by first stopping off in central Nebraska.
There we met Jo and Ellen before picking up several jobs along the way and hunting down some vampires and werewolves. For the next month, we hunted all over the state map taking out nests and packs.
We found another Wendigo in North Dakota, a kitsune in Virginia, and an ōkami in Sioux Falls South Dakota where we ran into Bobby Singer and Rufus. We made nice and traded information while I shared a copy of all my data on the supernatural as well as spells and whatnot with the surly roughneck and his even surlier friend.
After a round of drinks and a ghost hunt in an extremely haunted house, they both seemed to open up to us. We left them two days later when Sam and Dean called about a Native American cursed ground in Oasis Plains, Oklahoma. A six-hour drive that broke several speed limit laws and a notice-me not spell saw us pulling up to the driveway of some real estate agent's place.
Sam and Dean gave us the rundown and took us to the burial and massacre spot. I made an overlapping ward on the area with tunes and some ward stones I'd been making along the way. Using the ward, I countered the curse and wore down its magic's, destroying the nearby echo system in the process as the curse was using the pain and rage of a long-dead shaman as a catalyst while it connected and drew strength from the nature around it.
In the span of an hour, the plants and bugs in the area around Oasis Plains were all dead and the curse was broken finally and for good. I was exhausted as I'd been the catalyst for the wards to keep it going for so long.
Panting, I instructed Sam and Dean. "Burn the trees with the runes and salt and burn the mass grave. With that, there'll be no chance of reactivating the curse. Otherwise, it's done. The people should be safe now."
They got to work and Selene helped me back to the car before we headed to the hotel. After a shower and several dozen bags of synthetic blood, we were back on the road, and Sam and Dean owe us one.
We headed to Washtenaw County, Michigan next and went to a certain college to hunt down a professor Ludensky. I kidnapped him and chained him up in an abandoned house before reaching into his mind and through his weak connection to the Alpha, I traced it all the way to a man in Pennsylvania before I fried the mind of the pure-blooded werewolf from the process.
Three days on the road and staking our the alpha after we arrived, I confronted the beast on the full moon. We tore into each other before I ate him, draining him dry and shattering the psychic bond he had to all his werewolf children.
Moments later I grew stronger as my body assimilated his powers and physical strength for my own. The werewolves wolf never have an alpha again and I regained and locked away my wolf form after an hour-long shift.
My hybrid form is more than enough and I believe I'll keep it this way even after I eat the vampire alpha. For now, though I wasn't interested in anything of the sort. Instead, Selene and I headed to start a war in Chicago.
There were shifters, vampires, werewolves, djinn, and ghoul families trying to act like humans and take over the city like the mob. It took two months to wipe them all out and make sure they were gone for good with just the two of us. I'd even had to call our human contacts that used to work for Alexander Corvinus to clean it up on the human side and make it look like a mob war.
Hell, we'd even sent the pictures as proof to Ellen and Bobby that it was a right shit show and they sent their own cleanup teams to help as hunters swarmed the area and picked off those that were fleeing town after the massacres.
Over a hundred and fifty beasties of each kind were killed and the humans just thought it was a mob war that got out of hand. No traces were left behind as it was all cleaned up professionally. Sam and Dean ended up showing up after we finished and we met them in a bar while regaling them of the nightmarish war we waged here.
At first, Dean couldn't believe it until I showed him a few pictures and bought us another round. We'd taken out more monsters in one night then they'd taken out in a decade. Of course, it took two months of planning and shadow manipulation plus calling for backup to pick off the stragglers but it worked and they were all very dead.
Dean took a swig shaking his head. "I'll be damned. And here I thought our hunting was getting interesting. We took out a poltergeist in Kansas, an asylum of ghosts in Illinois, a pagan god in Indiana, a witch using a pet reaper, and a Rawhead in Nebraska and a ghost truck in Montana."
I shrugged and noticed Sam looking at some chick. I sniffed the air and frowned. "Dean, you catching the flight with us in the morning?"
He noticed my serious expression and the salt and holy water I was grabbing. He shook his head. "Na man, me and Sammy are gonna sleep in. We caught a case two states over."
I shrugged. "That's ok, our own case is four states away and it appears to be a nasty one. I'm thinking it's a nest and possibly a gathering."
Selene got up and I followed her out tossing money on the table. "Consider it on us tonight boys, we gotta get up early to catch that flight."
Sam looked away from the girl he was starring at long enough to say goodbye. Selene and I headed out while grabbing ropes, chains and holy water out of the trunk with the salt. We prepared everything while I spelled and put runes on the hand hood and chains.
When we finished, I added several runes to a bunch of ball gags. With a bit of work, we avoided the demons and the brothers following them. It was a pain in the as as we took them down with stealth and chained them all up including the brother and sister demons and children of ole yellow eyes.
The sister was all banged up from her fall and Sam and Dean were scratched up from hellhounds when we captured the possessed woman and found them. I healed them up with some magic and we left in a hurry in case more were coming.
I put a massive cloaking spell on us and we made it to a safe warehouse with nearly a dozen demons in tow and all of them chained up and gagged. John Winchester found us easy enough while I was carrying the baggage inside.
He showed up with a gun leveled at me and Sam stopped him. "Dad, don't! He's on our side!"
I ignored them and carried the last of the demons inside. There I grabbed a few rune stones and used them to patch up Meg and heal her up so that she wouldn't die when the demon was ejected out of her. While I did so, Selene tortures information out of the demons and it was a fun time for all.
When we got what we needed, that they were yellow eye's children and wanted John, I sent the rest to hell and tossed the book at John and his boys. "Do what you want, I've healed the girls so as long as you don't murder them, they'll survive and can be taken to the hospital. The exorcism works as you've just witnessed. The rest isn't our business."
Sam smiled a bit. "Thank you."
I nodded and Selene and I left them to whatever it is they wanted to do. The girl was set free a bit later and the male was bound and gagged fully before being loaded into John's truck. He asked me to put a ward on the truck and himself to keep yellow eyes off his back and I did while adding. "Keep the cuffs on him and he can't smoke out. Keep the gag on him and he can't use magic. It's the best I can do on quick notice."
John thanked us again before leaving while Sam and Dean got the girl out of there and talked her out of telling anyone. I gave her a ward charm and a piece of paper with the instructions to get a tattoo of the design on the paper. She thanked me and they left to drop her off while we headed to Nebraska for some down time and information.
I didn't want to fuck with cannon too much but there were things I was willing to change like Jo and Ellen's death and even Ash's death. A week later we were cooling our heels and getting our drink on while helping Helen around the bar and having Ash whom they introduced us to, search for demonic signs.
I upgraded his computer rigging as he called it and made it just short of a super computer while increasing it's processing speed and hard drive to well beyond any current super computer's capabilities. I had him searching for far more then demonic signs two weeks later and he was ecstatic that it was running so smoothly.
I contacted Bobby and through him, his hunter's network. With them on board I set up a proper hunter network with Ash as the central hub. He gave out assignments and they chose which ones to take. With Ellen's permission, I warded the Roudhouse and added iron as well as silver to the boundaries to keep out werewolves, shapeshifters and demons as well as ghosts.
I purified and anointed the place while doing the same to the entire property so that no demon in their right mind would even try to come to the property. I added enochian sigils and runes from all over to reinforce the place to the point that not even the angels would be able to step inside or harm the building and it's contents.
When I finished, a few hunters asked if I was some kind of witch. I snorted at the dumb question. "Witches borrow and make deals with demons. If I were one then the boundary and wards I set up would deep fry my ass. Do I look extra crispy to you?"
The big ass bald hunter frowned but backed down while the other hunters put away their witch killing supplies. I rolled my eyes. "I use magic funneled from nature and runes made by druids and the like. With my efforts I just turned this place into a veritable fortress. Nothing evil or with evil intent can even find this place and anything demonic or beastie like would be in agony the moment they step on the property. By the time they make it to the doors they'd be melted to a puddle or else smoking like a barbecue."
I went over to my jacket and pulled out some folders and tossed them on the bar. "Consider this a gift. Any fool can do magic. It doesn't make them a witch, just connected to nature and magic which isn't evil or good by nature. These are some spell you dumb asses can use for hunting and to protect your asses in a bind. Think of it as a get out of death cheat sheet that'll keep you alive and hunting hopefully."
A few of them looked over the folders while Ellen spoke up. "There's a copy machine in the back if you lot want to share. Ten bucks a person for the paper and ink needed to make copies."
A few of the older smarter hunters tossed some cash down and took the folders, heading to the back. Ironically, the first page had runes to protect from possession and anti magic runes to keep magic and hexes from being used against them as well as warnings to look out for if the runes were being activated.
It suggested the best was tattoos and the basics was just carving necklaces and bracelets with the runes in them. Next was the spells to track your prey and a few to weaken them if you got a piece of them to work with.
It had more industries runes and spells meant to warn you if you were being targeted and how to tell what was coming your way. These were just some of the things Bobby was sharing and using himself with all his contacts.
Most of the hunters here were random lone hunters or those looking to team up on jobs. I hooked Ash and Bobby up with my own contacts that helped us end the Corvinus line of vampires and werewolves. They used their contacts to get Bobby and Ash some official backing as well as used their financial backing to set up a bounty type system. You send in the head or proof of the beastie your hunting and the success and you get paid by the beast, ghost or demon.
With prices that ranged all over the board from a grand to twenty grand depending on difficulty, there was a serious competition now as hunters weren't fucking around now.
Selene and I had spent a total of two months helping to set it all up. I left bags of senzu beans or 'magic beans' as Jo called them, at the bar for hunters to resupply with and word spread that there was actually life saving shit here.
I gave Bobby some supplies as Selene and I took another job and passed through South Dakota. We were hunting down a Rugaru in Minnesota after dropping the supplies off with Bobby and the brothers who were there working on their Impala at his junk yard.
As it turns out, John pissed off old yellow eyes and now he was dead after their confrontation like the original. After we finished up the hunt, we made it back to the Roudhouse just as the brothers showed up and got held up at gun point. I smirked when Dean got punched in the nose as we came in. "Easy ladies, they're friendlies. That's Sam and Dean Winchester you two are picking on."
Ellen asked surprised. "John's boys?"
Dean asked while holding his nose. "You know our dad?"
The mother daughter duo lowered their weapons and Ellen went on to tell them about their father being an old friend. I pulled up a seat and yelled. "Ash! Beers on me if you're at the bar in two minutes!"
The genius tech savant rolled off the pool table he was sleeping on and fell on his ass before yelling. "I'm up!"
He made it to the bar and I tossed a stack of bills on the counter for Ellen. "Fill us up with whatever their having and a bottle of deers blood for myself. When that runs out, put it on my tab for the next hour."
Ellen smiled and slid me the bottle of jägermeister while Ash practically ordered a case of beer and several bottles for later. Dean spoke up. "I'd like to start a tab as well."
Jo shook her head cutely. "Uh uh. We don't know you and besides, we don't serve on tabs. Michael is different on account of all the free work he's done in keeping this place safe and his help in setting up a proper hunter network. Besides, he always squares up at the end of the night with an ungodly tip."
I hadn't been paying attention much as I asked Ash. "What else you got for me? The Rugaru was an easy find and fix."
He tossed down a couple files. "That's a siren in Massachusetts, a vampire nest in Montana and a Rakshasa near Medford Wisconsin not far from here."
I grunted. "I'll take the vamps thanks. Send Rufus and Bobby the Siren. See if these two want the Rakshasa, it should be an easy kill and it's worth three grand."
Sam and Dean overheard me and Sam asked. "Three grand? Since when is there a bounty on monsters?"
I chuckled and Ash explained. "Since a certain secret society type got ahold of us through Michael here and decided to pay hunters for confirmed kills. A head or picture gets you a wire transfer or a cash pick up here at the bar for any proof of kills you make. Though we're still working out the kinks on ghosts and such on account of not being able to give proof, but more than one eye witness account and a location of the gank seems to work for now. Suffice it to say there's a lot more hunters out there doing their jobs and making money."
Ellen spoke up to their worried looks. "Don't you be too worried boys. From the reports we've been getting, there's plenty to go around. Michael has been helping us to make safe houses and places like this bar that are magically protected against the monsters out there so we can at least sleep a little better."
I raised my glass to her and she mimicked me before we tossed them back. This place was a cruel monster eat human world and I'm quite enjoying it. Selene and I ran into a rouge hunter on our trip who called dibs on the vampires and if I were so inclined, I'd have let him have at it, but their leader reminded me of Tara.
The moment I laid eyes on her, I turned and snapped his neck before tearing I had his warm body for a quick meal. I pulled away to look at the Tara look alike's face watching me. Selene was used to the sight as I usually killed and ate evil humans.
While the hunter wasn't completely into that category and was shaped by his own experiences, he was still a psychopath and I didn't want to have to bother killing him later. I dropped the pieces of the hunter on the ground as I told the female vampire leader. "Don't worry, we're not here to hurt you. We are here to make you and your group an offer. I can send you all away to a place where you'll be able to live as you wish. There are two vampire species already there and you'd make a third. If you all choose to go you'll have access to blood and shelter away from any possible hunters."
Doppelgänger Tara took my offer and she as well as the dozen vampires with her were sent to my realm where the vampire queen and occasionally Drake lived. The city ship was large enough for them all and synthetic blood was more than adequate for their needs. It tasted far better than animal blood in their opinions at least.
After sending them to their knee homes, I made a message with Gordon Walker's body. I took a picture of my bloody message and sent it to Ash with the message that he was dead when we arrived and the nest was cleared out when we arrived.
As Gordon was an asshole and a lone hunter, he didn't have any friends to avenge him but he was one of the hunters albeit loosely by his own actions and psychotic tendencies so I'm sure someone will look into it.
As for me, I took the next four months off and married Selene before we went on a three month vacation. We didn't return from Hawaii until I felt the wards at the Roadhouse go off. There was a clear and massive attack from the alert but it seemed to have stopped after half the day flew by.
The wards weren't breached but the demons now knew you'd have to kill hunter outside the property or risk agony and even death even for them as their essence was absorbed and dispersed to fuel the wards after it was cleansed.
They stopped their assault when they saw no chances of getting through. We came back via apparition and found Dean in a hurry with Ellen to find Sam. Ash and Jo were busy calling all their contacts to be on the look out for demon's as they'd attacked in force and were repelled successfully here.
Deciding to go along with them for my own amusement purposes and to see this colt in action, we followed along and found Sam in some backwater ghost town called Cold Oak in South Dakota. It was very droll to say the least especially since we only arrived in time to see Sam nearly die.
Seeing as I'd changed so much, Dean gave Sam a senzu bean and he healed right up but the demon and the 'winner' of Azazel's blood experiments were already gone by the time Sam was able to stand up again.
Sam explained the situation and we came to the same conclusion. It was all going down in Fossil Butte Cemetery, an old cowboy cemetery in Southern Wyoming's Great Divide Basin. It is the cemetery that lies in the center of the 100-square mile devil's trap built by Samuel Colt.
Once more we were almost too late as the dumb human opened the hellmouth or doorway to hell's dimension this giant devil's trap was built on. It wasn't obvious at first since the door took a while to open.
Sam and the rest dealt with Jake Talley, the demon blood man who opened the door, while I took Samuel Colt's gun and studied it. It while Sam shot Jake to death. Sighing, I tossed the gun to Dean while telling them. "Everyone get to cover!"
I grabbed Selene and ran behind a large angel statue next to the mausoleum door used as doorway to the hell dimension here. The others barely made it in time as hundreds of demons burst through the door in a black cloud.
The devil's gate tried it's best to contain them but it was overwhelmed by their sheer numbers and after they destroyed all five churches at each point, the devil's trap collapsed in on itself.
With the demons out, all manner of spirits were coming next but I was too quick and strong as I ran over and slammed the doors shut. Grunting, I told the rest. "That's a pain in the ass and a hell of a lot of demons. Ellen, call Bobby and-"
I was cut off as I was thrown across the cemetery by a telekinetic force and impaled on an old iron fence post. Unfortunately Selene joined me so it took a while before I managed to pull us off and heal us with senzu beans.
By that time, we made it back across the graveyard just in time for Dean to put a bullet in old yellow eyes, killing him with the colt's last bullet. The prince of hell died in agony as the magical bullet deep fried him extra crispy on the inside.
I picked up the colt and went over to yellow eyes's body, taking out a knife before using it to pluck the bullet out of the dead demon. It was gruesome, but it had to be done. Selene went around passing out senzu beans to heal them up as Azazel had done a number on them. Ellen was bleeding from a nasty head wound, Bobby had his legs broken and Sam was wounded internally from Azazel's telekinesis playing.
All in all they were all healed up decently by the time I finished my gruesome work. "With this I should be able to make not just more bullets, but more colts."
They all stiffened as I chuckled. "Imagine what the world would be like if every hunter had a colt and a near infinite supply of bullets."
Their imaginations went wild and Ellen asked. "Can you do that?"
I nodded. "It shouldn't be a problem. It'll take some time though and it's impossible to mass produce as I'll have to make them all by hand but yeah, definitely possible."
They agreed that it was a great thing so we burned the leftovers from Azazel and Jake before I called up Ash and told him to get to warning the hunters. Selene and I went our separate ways for a couple months while I studied and made colts and bullets in bulk.
It took a while because of the detailed spell work and sheer amount of magic forged into the special guns so once I had it down pat, I made two hundred colts and more bullets than the US currently made. (For reference approximately ten billion bullets are made each year currently.)
The bullets weren't too special so I could in fact mass produce them. It was only a special mixture of iron and silver with runes and spellwork which were easily replicated and supplied the magic in bulk. My symbiote helped me with the work and once it was all completed, we went to the Roadhouse.
It was a hub of activity now a days as the hunters were working overtime. The wards had been tested once by the black cloud of demons and while they sparked, they help while ending a few demons before they too left.
Since then several demons tried to enter in hunter's bodies but they were ejected by the wards and destroyed each time they entered the bar as the wards overcame them. Usually the hunter was then bought a round of drinks and the rest would say an exorcism or two to get the demons to piss off.
When we entered the bar it went quiet and Ellen asked from behind the counter worried. "Did you get them?"
I nodded with a smile. "Send four volunteers to unload the truck we brought. I made two hundred colts and enough ammunition to start a war."
The hunters cheered and four volunteers immediately went out to the loaded truck. Ash got on the horn or web as it were and sent all the hunters the good news while telling them to come pick up their demon killing weapons.
It didn't take long to see four burly men carrying in the crates of guns and bullets I'd made. I told them. "Be careful out there boys and girls, it's getting nasty from the looks of it."
The hunters grabbed the guns and passed them out along with the ammo before leaving the rest to Ash and Ellen to distribute to the other hunters that would stop by later. I'd kept the original colt for sentimental reasons and soon enough I heard rumors of Sam and Dean working with a demon called Ruby.
I frowned and Ellen mentioned a knife that killed demons so I told her I'd look into it but that I'd need that knife. She called up Sam and Dean and told them to call their 'friend' and get the knife from her at any cost so that I could replicate it for all hunters.
She also told them to get their asses here and get their colts and ammo as well so I wasn't surprised when they showed up ten hours later while I was sipping on some deers blood and listening to Jo's choice in music.
When they came in though, I was surprised by the knife they managed to acquire. Dean handed me the knife and went to get himself some guns and ammo. The bullets worked on all but five things in creation so he was really exited to have them as it was a universal middle finger to supernatural beings.
I looked over the knife and listened to how they tricked Ruby into handing it over. I hummed at the thought of them leaving the demon in the middle of nowhere while stuck in a devil's trap. It was a pretty bold move and still dumb for not sending her to hell as well.
I commented as such while I looked over the spellwork on the knife and understood that it was a failed imitation of someone trying to make an angel blade. It only worked on demons or anything that could die by stabbing since it was still a knife in the end.
I told them. "That should do it. I'll get to work tonight and start forging demon killing knives. Mind if I keep this?"
Sam shook his head. "No, go ahead especially if it gets us those knives faster."
I nodded before downing my drink and tossing a stack of cash on the table telling Ellen. "I'll be back in a week with the knives. Make sure to send Bobby and Rufus a couple colts and some spare ammo. There's more in the truck so I'll bring them in before I leave."
She nodded and I carried in several cases of guns and ammo before heading out without Selene. She wanted to go on a few hunts with Sam and Dean so I was heading to forge solo. A week later I got a call about a mystery spot and Dean dying over and over again.
The time shenanigans had Selene worried but in the end she already knew it was an annoying pissed off archangel playing with them so when it finished, she was calling me to let me know they'd be meeting me at the bar.
I myself was headed there with another truck full of goodies.
