WAR OF HEART AND MIND

ERIC'S POV:

Henry was having pizza with so much excitement and I feel a ping of pain in my heart I was giving this angel so much pain,the way Maya made me feel about him and after so long I'm feeling love for him ,I was thinking so wrong,I just finished my slice and Henry was done with his dinner with full stomach ,he was rubbing his belly while smiling on which Maya smiled back at him

MAYA: Are you full..?(she asked with the same smile and he nodded) the let's go to your room , it's late you need to sleep okay..(he nodded and they both hikd their hands and went to one of the room where Henry's stuff was set )

When they went inside the room my gaze fell on Maya's plate her slice was untouched ,I sighs but decided not to interrupt them ,I stay there and was deep in thoughts

ERIC: Why was she looking confused?(I mumbled while remembering Daisy's face)I'm gonna ask her in the morning…

I went to my room and open the zipper of my bag and the first thing that caught my attention was photographs of our happy looking family which is now so broke ,the only reason is Laura,why she betrayed me wasn't I enough for her ,I sat on bed but before sitting I took out the keychain too and sat on bed ,I was looking at the photographs still I feel hurt to see the smile of Laura ,I loved her with my whole life and my best friend who was with me from childhood betrayed me tgat much tagt I still can't get over from this incident ,I sigh and then look at the keychain moving it in my hand teg emprintment of DL is making me feel a little nostalgia,why I'm feeling like this ,I looked at the keychain fir a bit then I decided to got up and went to Henry's room to check out that he is asleep or not,I silently went to room and opened the door and see one of the adorable scene Maya and Henry were sleeping while embracing each other

"He is getting the love he deserve"I thought and close the door slowly and went back to my room

I opened my laptop and decided to do some work but my mind was stuck on that keychain,I take out that keychain and again starts examining it

ERIC:Why…(I feel really weird who was that man whose collar I grabbed who was he,was he related with me somewhere,is he around me and I'm unable to guess)

I rubbed my forehead while closing my eyes and when I closed my eyes I saw the crying face of Maya which angers me ,I don't know why her tears hurt me

I pick up my phone and called someone to get more information about thst Ryan

After calling him I put back my phone and starts to wait for the information to come and after five minutes I got my mail ,I opened it and starts to read ,I completed almost half of the file when I heard the Knock on my door,I look up and saw Maya standing with sweaty fave and feary eyes,she didn't said anything and came towards the bed and sat beside me

ERIC:Want anything?( I asked abd she shook her head) You okay..(she sighs)

After some minutes of silence she speak

MAYA:You said you want to tell me something..(she said without looking at me ,I can clearly see that she was trying to distract herself)

ERIC:Ummm..yess ..but before that Thanks…(she looks at me confusingly)yeah.. because of you I realized how much I was hurting Henry…(she looks down again) I know the..the.. thing that happened.. with you…has broken you…but…you should..try to forget it..(I said hasitantly but she didn't said anything or even look up) did you had your medicines and applied ointment on bruises (I was really scared to ask questions with her what of that broke her more,she just shook her head)

MAYA:Can you give me medicines…(I nodded and went downstairs,I opened her bag and took out the medicine and then I grab a glass of water from kitchen and went back to room)

ERIC: Here…(I gave them to get and she ate them after that I sat Infront of her)umm I have came here before (she just look up)with Laura and Henry (I sigh) Laura my wife..(it still feel weird)

MAYA: She left you…(she said in lokey whisper while resting her Bach on the bed)

ERIC: Yeah..she cheated on me..and thwn left me..(I don't know why I'm talking with her but my heart days to tell her my pain so that I can find some peace but my mind was stoping me to say anything further) on the same day ..(I look at her while continuing my talk but I found her sleeping with a pout ,I just stares at her but quickly shook my head and got up from bed )

I put quilt on her and sat on couch with laptop and I starts reading it and the next thing that I read made me shock and rethink everything that happened
