Two Days with Yukinoshita

"Tamiya doesn't know Akagi is planning to pursue her, but Akagi is fully aware of the plan."

Yukinoshita Yukino's expression radiated confidence, just like when she first decided on this plan.

"If that's the case, we just need to stay in close contact with Akagi, monitor his interactions with Tamiya, and provide real-time advice when necessary."

"Real-time advice... So, you're planning to follow Akagi and Tamiya around?"

Shin could see what Yukinoshita was getting at. To prevent Akagi from panicking at a critical moment, Yukinoshita decided to guide him remotely to ensure he stayed with Tamiya.

After all, Akagi had confessed he'd be too shy to approach Tamiya Shion when it came down to it.

If on Saturday, after Shin and Yukinoshita left, Akagi didn't dare talk to Tamiya, they might just part ways, each heading home alone.

Yukinoshita had thought of this possibility and decided to monitor Akagi's actions, providing guidance at crucial times to keep them together.

However, monitoring Akagi and Tamiya in real-time wasn't easy. The only method was to trail them—essentially, follow them closely.

"Pretty much. Although it's not ideal, Akagi and Tamiya aren't the type to approach each other, so we have to help them along," Yukinoshita replied, unfazed by this approach.

Akagi is too shy to talk to girls, and Tamiya is an innocent girl oblivious to romance. Left to their own devices, they'd probably never make any progress.

"So... tailing them while giving real-time advice?" Shin mused, feeling a bit torn. He'd planned to check out a martial arts dojo this Saturday to pick up some techniques.

But if he agreed to Yukinoshita's plan, he'd have no time for the dojo, as they'd be shadowing Akagi and Tamiya's "date" all day.

Having Yukinoshita's company wouldn't be unpleasant, but it would cost him a day, leaving Shin slightly hesitant.

"What's wrong? Do you have other plans for Saturday?" Yukinoshita noticed his hesitation and asked. She wasn't the type to pressure others; if Shin had other plans, she would adjust.

Though she'd never dated, Yukinoshita had a certain mysterious confidence that she could come up with an alternative plan.

"Sort of. I was planning to check out a dojo after parting ways with you guys on Saturday," Shin admitted. Finding a place to learn some martial arts wasn't embarrassing; it was good for health, after all.

Not that health was his main concern. Physically, he was probably unmatched; he'd never heard of anyone in this world with the strength of, say, Hanma Baki.

His main goal at the dojo was to gain combat techniques—not that they'd compare to Dragon Ball-style techniques, but it'd be better than just flashy moves.

"A dojo, huh... I see," Yukinoshita nodded thoughtfully before quickly responding. "How about this? In return for helping you, I can take you to a dojo run by a famous kendo instructor I know. It's not a dojo exactly, but it should do, right?"

"A kendo dojo?" Shin was surprised, then fell into thought. Many in Dragon Ball use weapons, though weapons aren't the main focus.

The power of "ki" in Dragon Ball far surpasses that of weapons. Even Trunks, who once used a sword, rarely uses it later on.

But creating weapons out of "ki" is another path. In Dragon Ball, there are examples of using "ki" as weapons.

For example, Zamasu in Dragon Ball Super, who used a giant energy scythe after becoming Goku Black. Krillin's Destructo Disk, though a projectile, has shown to take down enemies beyond his level.

If Shin could shape "ki" into a weapon like a sword, kendo techniques might be a good fit.

Imagining himself wielding a blade with the same destructive power as the Destructo Disk in battle, he figured it'd be more potent than simple energy blasts.

"Rest assured, the kendo dojo I know is very reputable. So, what do you think?" Yukinoshita asked, with a slight smile.

He trusted the quality of Yukinoshita's recommendation; her family had some influence, so her kendo contacts would likely be skilled.

"All right, I'll go with you on Saturday," he agreed after some thought. Instead of randomly picking a dojo, he'd let Yukinoshita lead him to a top-tier kendo dojo.

"Great! Then we're all set for Sunday," Yukinoshita replied, looking pleased.

"Huh? You're coming too?" Shin was surprised; he'd thought Yukinoshita would merely refer him to the dojo.

But from what she said, it sounded like she planned to accompany him.

"Of course. I wouldn't want any miscommunication between you and the dojo, so I'll be there to oversee things," Yukinoshita said, her perfectionism showing.

Still, Shin couldn't help scratching his head—his weekend seemed to be fully claimed by Yukinoshita.
