First Meeting with the Anderson's royal family

Maria slapped Cara on the back as she straightened her neck and look forward. The day of the meeting with the Royal family came as expected and Cara was all set to meet the Royal family that ruined her family.

Cara also hoped to see her younger brother that was taken away to the Royal Mansion.

"I told you not to stand like the peasant that you are," Maria threw shades at Cara and pointed out her error. "Although you have the smell of An alpha's daughter due to the portion I gave you but it won't be for long. You are nothing but a substitute for my daughter. Do you understand? " Maria shouted causing Cara to Flinched.

"Yes, your grace," Cara answered with her head lowered. She stared at herself in the mirror and saw a different person. Never in her entire life did she imagine that she would be dressed as a princess. The dress she had on was a blue glittering sleeveless dress that shines like a diamond. That wasn't all as her face was caked up with makeup making her look different. On her neck were a ruby necklace and a pair of ruby earrings. Cara knew that everything she had on could have caused a fortune but she had no idea why they had to spend a lot of money when the Rankless wolf starved without food.

"Now, listen," Maria snapped her fingers breaking her out of her deep thought. "You must impress the Queen Dowager and also the Queen," Maria's expression changed at the mention of the Queen. To her, the queen was just a woman with trust issues and a cheating husband. "Do you understand?" She demanded and punched the left side of Cara's ribcage.

Cara muffled a scream and nodded in response. "Now smile," Maria urged her and walked out of the room while Cara trailed behind. When they reached the living room, Adam, Alexa, and Alpha Simon were seated and dressed up in tuxedos except for Alexa who wasn't dressed for the occasion.

"This is supposed to be me!" Alexa stood up and rushed to attack Cara but Maria held her down.

"You will not attack her now. You can do that once we've returned. Having marks on her body would raise questions from the Royal family, especially Queen Venus," Maria dropped her hand and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Everything I am doing is for you and sooner or later you'll realize that."

Alexa scoffed and removed her Mother's hand from her shoulder. "You must be crazy to think that you are helping me. You are doing this for your own sake!" Alexa yelled and pointed a finger at Cara. "Now that she is here, you are trying to replace me with that peasant right?"

"You will listen to me!" Maria shouted at her daughter and when she realized what she did, she placed a hand on her forehead and inhaled deeply. "Listen! I'm not choosing anyone over you! She is a substitute and as soon as your face is taken care of then you will replace her!"

"I don't care!" Alexa yelled and ran out of the living room.

"Shall we?" Maria asked and the rest of the family nodded in response.

"You look pretty," Adam commented on Cara's dress and lick his lips.

Cara replied with a nod and hurried out of Adam's sight. A black limousine was parked at the front of Simon's mansion and they all entered including Cara. Adam sat beside her and placed a hand behind her back. He caressed her back while Cara shifted in discomfort. She couldn't complain to avoid getting hit. She looked towards Adam who winked at her and continued rubbing her back.

Cara managed to survive throughout without any words from Simon. None of them said anything until they reached the Royal mansion. "We are here!" Maria announced as the car opened. "Listen up!" Maria grabbed Cara's hand and pulled her closer to herself. "You must do everything that I have told you else....." Maria grinned at her. "You know the Consequences," She smiled at her and came out of the limousine.

Cara heaved a sigh as she stepped out of the Limousine happy to be away from Adam. The Anderson Royal family stood in front of their mega-mansion to welcome Alpha Simon's family.

"Greetings, your majesties," Simon bowed his head. "It's lovely to be in this castle again for something else other than a meeting," Simon joked and king Lucas laughed.

"Your highness," Maria greeted the Royal family and looked towards the King. They both exchanged eye contact which didn't go unnoticed by Venus. "This is my daughter, Alexa," Maria introduced Cara.

Cara lowered her head and when she raised it, her eyes met with the King's. She stared at him for a while and imagined how he would kill In her head. "Greet them," Maria nudged her on the shoulder.

"Pleasure to be here," it took all the strength left in Cara not to lunge at the king and stabbed him in the face. "You have a nice home," She commented.

"Than....." The king tried to answer but Queen Venus beat him to it.

"What do you expect? You believe we should live in a hut?" Venus asked and fanned herself with her hand fan.

"Don't be hard on the girl Queen Venus," Queen Dowager stepped down towards Cara and grabbed her hand. She took her hand and lead her into the Mansion. "I love your dress," She commented.

"Thank you, your highness.." Cara faked a smile at the old woman.

"Where is the prince? Isn't he supposed to be here?" Maria questioned as she walked with her mate into the castle.

"He is running late," Princess Mia answers her question. "He should be here in a few minutes," She added.

"Oh really?" Maria laughed. "Isn't he always late for every occasion?" She asked and burst into laughter.

"I see you love watching other people's movements. Should I call that stalking?" Queen Venus scoffed and fanned herself.

Maria balled her hands into fists and faked a smile at the Queen.

They reached the Royal dining hall and sat down on each chair. Alpha king Lucas sat down at the end of the table while Queen Venus sat on his left side and Maria was on the right side. Luna Queen Dowager was seated beside Venus while Cara sat opposite her. Prince Harry who didn't look like he wanted to be in the meeting sat opposite Adam while Alpha Simon sat opposite Princess Mia who was beside Adam.

"Sorry, I'm running late!" Percy announced his presence and took his seat beside His sister, princess Mia.

"Welcome My prince," Maria lowered her head. "Thank goodness you arrived on time, " She laughed.

"You don't want him to arrive early?" Venus questioned.

"That's not what...." Maria was interrupted by Queen Elizabeth who cleared her throat to gain everyone's attention. "This is the first meeting between the families so let's eat like a happy family."

"Happy?" Venus scoffed and fanned herself. "This lunch seemed like the worst thing to me right now," She said.

"Enough!" Lucas shouted. "Let's have lunch just like my mother said," he said.

No one said a thing until Percy's eyes landed on Cara. "She is the bride?" He pointed towards Cara and eyed her. Percy knew a pretty woman when he sees one. He was attracted to her round face and pouty lips. He wondered how sweet it would be to have his lips on hers.

"Yes," Venus answered and cleared her throat when she realized that her son's eyes were fixed on Percy's. The last thing he wanted was to let his son fall for a girl she hated. That was not what she wished for. "She is the daughter of Alpha Simon," she added.

Percy realized the message his mother was trying to pass across and he quickly averted his eyes. " now that the marriage is announced. The world is waiting for their engagement and then the wedding," Lucas announced to everyone at the table. "It should be a grand wedding in the werewolf's history."

"We shouldn't rush things right?" Percy directed the question over to Cara whose head was lowered. "What do you think Cara?" He asked.

Cara raised her head to look at him and nodded in response. "Reply with words," Percy Corrected her.

"Apologies, your highness," she said. "I don't think there is a need to wait. Let's just hurry with the wedding," she said and scratched her neck. She had said what Maria ordered her to say in case the prince decided to say something against the marriage.

Maria smiled and looked toward the king. "Don't you agree your highness," she placed her hand on the king. "We have to move forward with the wedding as planned "

"I see you are in a hurry for your daughter to be the princess so you can have a place in the palace," Queen Venus dropped her fan on the table and smiled at Maria. "You must enjoy the attention."

"And you don't enjoy the attention?" Maria retorted. "You know that you can't be Luna queen for long. Someone has to take your position," Maria smiled back at Venus.

Venus shifted on her chair and when she was about to reply, luna Queen Dowager tapped the table.

"Lunch is here!" She announced as the maidens walked in with trays of food. "Let's have dinner as normal people shall we?"

No one said a word as the lunch started. A few minutes later, everyone was done with their meal and having discussions about the Royal wedding. Queen Venus was the first person to talk about Cara. "Your daughter is pretty enough to be Queen but is she good enough?"

"How do you mean Queen Venus?" Maria asked.

Queen Elizabeth cleared her throat and beckoned for Maria and venus to stop arguing. "Why don't the children especially Percy and Cara get acquainted with one another?" She proposed.

Without arguing, Prince Harry who was uninterested in the whole thing stood up and hurried out of the dining hall in a haste. Princess Mia bowed and left while Cara and Percy stood up at once and both walked out of the dining hall.

They headed down a long hallway and stood side by side while staring glances at each other without saying anything until Percy decided to break the silence between them.

"You must be ecstatic to be here," Percy said.

Cara didn't reply and remained silent while observing the Prince. He must be like his father, he thought. The younger queen had made an impression that she hated Cara while the Queen Dowager show signs of being a nice woman. "You didn't reply to my question. Did your mother ask you to pretend to win the Royal family's favor?" He asked yet another question.

This time, Cara stopped walking and turned to face Percy. When the prince realized it, he also stopped walking and looked at her. "You don't like me do you?"

" Why should I like a daughter of a woman who is nothing but a leech?" Percy retorted.

Cara smiled because she knew the question wasn't meant for her but for Alexa. "You have a problem with my mother?" The words came out like a whisper but it's were loud enough for Percy to hear.

"I have a problem with your family, especially your mother and your bastard brother," Percy took a step towards her while she took a few steps backward until her back hit the wall. With no escape, Cara could only stare into Percy's blue eyes. "You should reject this wedding if you love yourself!"

"No," Cara refused.

Percy laughed and pinned her hand on the wall. "What are you doing?"

"I'm giving you a chance!" he pinned her hands to the wall pretty tight and enough to bruise her. "Listen up you fool! You have no idea what you are about to do. You are close to your downfall!" he shouted at her.

" what...t? How do you mean?"

"If you wish to go on with the wedding then good luck to you!" Percy's hand found its way to her face down to her neck and he stopped. He wrapped his hand around her neck choking her. "This is what you shall face until the wedding!" He laughed.

Cara slapped his hand and choked on her breath. "Let me go!" She managed to say.

"Of course," he let's go of her neck and pushed her to the ground. "Welcome to your doom," he said and walked away leaving her on the cold marble floor.
