The Monstrous Bird of Qin

It seems that he had failed in avenging Kyou! thought Ou Ki as he rode his horse.

Kyou was Ou Ki's fiancée and the secret daughter of King Sho! raised as a daughter of one of the servants of Ou Ki's household she would often train with Ou Ki when he was at home.

Ou Ki had conquered many cities during his early military career, as a result, Kyou declared that she would marry Ou Ki once she conquered 100 cities! to prove that she was worthy of him.

Having conquered 99 cities she attempted to conquer Bayou! sadly she was slain by Hou Ken in 253 B.C. during the Siege of Bayou. Enraged Ou Ki battled and defeated Hou Ken!

He had thought he had killed Hou Ken few men could survive the wound he had inflicted upon the man, this time he would make sure to take the man's head! Having learned that Houken was leading the Zhao offensive he had come out of retirement to lead the 100,000 militia troops raised during the emergency conscription!

As they near Bayou (one day away) he learns that many of the villages near Baou had been destroyed! but thanks to the brave effort of a few Brave soldiers of Qin, they had managed to bide enough time for some of the villagers to flee and make refugees in Bayou.

Ou Ki decided to spread this news about the bravery of the Qin troops and the ruthlessness of the Zhao forces! he hoped that once they learned what Zhao had done and how a few brave soldiers had confronted the Zhao General and slain him! that it would inspire the men.

Shins (POV)

Having just met up with Kyou Kai, he soon learns about how some gods will grant their power to certain individuals! Kyou Kai makes use of this power by using her sword as a catalyst, drawing power from her god!

Some individuals will actually unknowingly draw in power gifted to them by a god, becoming powerful warriors. While others will actually host a god inside themselves! becoming very powerful! they call these people Bushin!

Apparently, the one leading Zhao forces Houken is actually a Bushin! and actually managed to kill one of Qin'a six great Generals! (Ou Ki's fiance Kyou), by himself Houken attacked General Kyou camp! cutting through thousand of troops until he reached her! and killing her in a duel. It was said that an enraged Ou Ki had killed Houken as revenge.

Shin and the others were shocked to learn about the gods and about OuKi's past! Shin always thought the General swung the other way and liked men! he was stunned to learn that he actually once had a fiance!

*The next day*

The others were stunned! having just arrived outside Bayou, they could see thousands of enemy soldiers sieging the city! how had the city managed to hold against such a large army!

Shin and the others thought that they would immediately march to relieve the besieged city but instead, they started moving towards the Kan plains a few miles away from the city!
