Chapter 2

Celene chuckled.

"I'm just a countryside noble, a bumpkin if you ask me but I take pride on that, and I live with a loving family as the only child." She spoke about her background in a summary, before adding, "It's quite boring, isn't it? That's why I'd rather talk about something you like; you seem the most interesting when I spotted you from a distance."

Helen hummed, staring at her more so than ever, something clicked. Her eyes widened, she suddenly felt flustered to look away with reddened cheeks as she cleared her throat aloud.

"W-Well.. I am." She tried to continue the conversation with her, "I'm also a noble Lady with a lovi--err.... I can't be that sure I have a loving family but they're caring, and I'd die for them."

Celene found that humorous to stifle herself from laughing.

"I have lots of friends and I'm engaged with the Crown Prince." Helen said.

Celene listened to her ramble on about her life.

"That seems rough." She commented when Helen got to the part where she was falsely accused of bullying one of her precious friends.

"I know, right!?" Helen said, "I mean, how am I someone who's hurt one of my friends, if somebody hurt them, I'd beat them up for it."

Celene laughed aloud, she couldn't hold herself back from that. Helen's eyes widened, blushing red, she found her laughter to be adorable. It was to die for to hear again.

Clearing her throat from suddenly wanting to say the unthinkable, "So, after that---uhmm.. my friends actually rescued me for that but then my friend Maryln got kidnapped right after."

"Oh, dear." Celene gasped, Helen's stories were intriguing, she's glad she got her to talk about herself more instead. She would have stopped considering not a lot happens in her life. Helen laughed along with her when she told how it ended when she got to the parts where her brother got kidnapped next.

"Your stories are incredible." Celene had starry eyes, wanting to hear more of it as she unknowingly put a hand on top of Helen's hand.

Helen flinched, unnoticeable to see in the dim place as bits of dandelions flew aside when Celene put her hand down on Her's. Celene's hands were warm to the ouch on the back of her hand.

"Well... I guess that's one of the reasons my mother always scolds me for." Helen said, joking, "I become too adventurous and get in a lot of trouble sometimes."

Celene laughed aloud in amusement, "Oh! I am so sorry to hear that from you."

Helen laughed along with her, blushing, her heart was suddenly pounding in her chest.

"I'm so glad I met somebody else to talk to in this dream or else I might've gotten lonely walking around." Celene sighed, lying down on the ground. Helen watched the glow from the floating dandelions cascade over Celene for a moment as it went up to the sky.

"Huh." before she could say another thing.

Anne woke her up.

Helen found herself inside the dream. Her day had been all the same.

"Hello."

She knew that voice, "Hey, Celene."

She turned around with a smile as Celene smiled back and sat down beside her.

"How are you?" She asked as dandelions flew from the sides and up to the sky.

Helen shrugged, "Nothing much, what about you?"

"I rode a horse today." Celene said.

"Really?" Helen asked.

Celene nodded, "Alone, I went to a field of dandelions to lie down under the clouds."

"It was windy." She spoke.

Helen awed, "A dandelion field."

"Is it just like this place?" She wondered.

Celene shook her head, "Not really."

"How come? I'm sure these are just dandelions as well but they're glowing." Helen smiled while laughing a little, "Look, aren't they pretty?"

"Well," Celene laughed, "I only said it wasn't like here because this place is much nicer because you're here."

Helen paused.

"I have somebody to talk to while I'm here and not feel too lonely whenever I have to wait until I wake up." Celene said.

Helen's heart must have skipped a beat for a moment, she looked away, that was dangerous. She never realized Celene was this dense.

Celene raised a brow, "Helen? Is something wrong?"

"Oh, nothing's wrong." Helen looked back at her again when she shook her head.

"I'm just glad you thought the same, I didn't want to seem annoying whenever we talk." She spoke.

"How could somebody with incredible stories be annoying?" Celene chuckled, "If not annoying, I'd say you're the most interesting person I'll ever meet in my whole life, even if this is just a dream."

"Huh, I wonder how we can talk to each other like this in a dream..." Helen smiled.

"Doesn't really matter, what matters is that we can talk to each other with just about anything." Celene shrugged her shoulders.

"Oh, today I did see a caterpillar on a tree. I think it was looking to find a place to become a butterfly." Helen perked up.

Celene hummed, "Really? I wonder if you'll see it tomorrow again."

"I'll send you a butterfly, how about it?" She joked.

Helen laughed, as if that can happen.

"If that does happen, I might freak out when I see it land on me." She spoke.

Celene laughed alongside her, "Oh, c'mon! Don't scare the butterfly I will send tomorrow like that; I'll make sure to let you know I send it?"

"How are you going to even sent me a butterfly?" Helen wondered as she calmed herself down.

"I'll pray really hard that God decides to do it for me." Celene lied down on the ground, bits of dandelions floating off to the sky when she did so.

Helen chuckled, that's quite cute.

"I don't think you'll be able to send me one, but I'll watch out for it then." She played along with Celene's silly joke.

Honestly, a butterfly suddenly paying her a visit after their conversation here inside the dream would be unrealistic to think of, but the hope is there. It would be adorable to even wonder about when they wake up as Anne began to gently shake her awake for the day.
