Believer!

Bago nakasunod si Chief Go sa babae bigla nalang sumulpot si Det. Sembrano, nag pugay kamay pa muna ito which the chief immediately responded.

"Are you spying with me also?"

Chief Go asked sharply na ikinatawa ni Det. Sembrano.

"I won't waste my breath keeping my eyes on your ass—sir!"

"I won't be surprise if one of you here is actually a walking CCTV's!"

Anitong napabuntong hininga.

"There's nothing to be scared off as long as we're doing our job straight. No funny business, Sir!"

"You know me. .I really hates division amongst the higher ups, fuck them for bothering us! And why do we need to take sides anyway? If they were really wanted to fight then they should fight like men and spare us some bullshit!"

Kung gusto talaga nilang magpatayan eh di magsuntukan nalang kaya silang dalawa, one of one? Until one of them drop dead. Gusto pa sana nitong idagdag pero pinili nalang ng una ang manahimik.

"If the other party could do such things as you said that would be better, But the one making all this fuss wants nothing but full control over criminals while the other just wanted to end everything for the sake of everyone—this is war, sir!"

Det. Sembrano explained it to the chief, bigla namang napatingin dito ang huli na tila may narealized but he dismissed that thoughts, that's too impossible! Anya sa sarili.

"I remember someone told me that it would be safe to stand in the side when there's a race, but in this war do you think standing in the side and just watching them would make you safe?"

"Do you think it'll be safe?"

Balik tanong ng hepe.

"No—choose a side strong enough for you to leaned on and makes both of your feet stood on the ground with your chin held up, Sir!"

Chief Go smiled. The one talking to him now is way younger than him pero daig pa nito ang matandang hukluban kung makapagbigay ng pangaral.

I probably underestimated you! Chief Go said to himself, he slowly realized det. Sembrano's real identity.

Det. Sembrano may seems to be quite and careful but actually his making sure that chief Go walked in the right path!

He keeps on reminding Chief Go about the right choices the latter should make to avoid trouble.

He must be the one in the right and that bitch is in the left. Chief Go concluded.

The war is inevitable kaya't nag papanic na ang kabilang panig.

"Do you think she's up to something?"

Tanong ni Chief Go matapos ang mahabang katahimikan.

"Someone like her is always up to no good, Sir. But as I told you just walked in the line and someone else will take care of her!"

"Is that includes you?"

"Yes!"

This time unti unti ng ipinapakita ni Det. Sembrano sa hepe ang tunay niyang pagkatao.

"Let's go, Sir. You're guess might be waiting for you!"

Pukaw niya sa hepe, the two of them march outside papunta sa central command system.

Pagpasok na pagpasok nila nakita nilang nagkasalubong ang kilay at di maipinta ang mukha ng babae.

"What the hell took you so long, sir?"

Agent 10 hissed that makes the chief snorts.

"Why you did not start yet, do my presence required to access the system?"

"Sir we need director's permission first our chief went to talk—"

"Permission granted!"

Anang kakarating lang na si Division head director Ramirez kasabay nito ang chief of traffic division. Napakunot noo naman ang babae ng makita ang presensya ng matanda.

"I need to observed as protocols, you are our guess—aren't we supposed to lend a hands?"

"Certainly sir!"

Agent 10 said sourly.

"Let's start!"

Anito na hindi na inantay ang head director, nag simula na ang tensyon sa loob ng naturang control system. 

Men are like beast and beast are dominants. They felt like agent 10 just crash their pride.

Lahat silang naroroon ay lalaki at masyadong awkward ang situation knowing that the woman was sent to them not just for the op. but also to spy them.

Tutok na tutok ang mga mata ni Agent 10 sa monitor habang enirewind ng head control ang nangyari kani kanina lang. 

The room was so quite malamang ang iba sa kanila ay pigil ang hininga at controlado ang galaw.

"She's a formula driver!"

Agent 10 said in a matter of fact tone.

"Look how she countered flow in one move, like there's nobody in there!"

"That's wa. .what I told them!"

Alanganing sagot ng head control. 

"Rewind it again!" 

Aniya which the latter did.

Though it wasn't visible in the monitor dahil nasa blind spot ang kabilang lane at natatabunan ng anino ng trailer truck na mula sa kanan ang bahaging kaliwa.

"There are two possible things that happened it there, kung bakit nawala sila sa monitor!"

Ani Agnet 10 na ipinakita sa kanila ang dalawang sasakyan na halos magkasabay na dumaan.

"See that! Both back side of the trailer truck was visible in our eyes but this part aren't—!"

Anya na itinuro ang gilid na bahagi ng dalawang trailer truck kung saan madilim dahil sa anino ng mga ito.

Isa pang disadvantage nila ay ang uras, may kadiliman narin kasi ng mga panahong iyon.

"Remember how she counter flow in the previous one and look at the space of the trailer truck's floor from the ground, it's enough for one car to pass through underneath—"

"That would be possible if you're really a good driver!"

Sang ayon ni Chief Go.

"Exactly that's why she's the one to be reckoned with, she pass through under the first trailer truck just right in time and probably after that, nag u turn sya right before the back of the other trailer truck na papuntang norte is visible in the camera and stay in the side kung saan hindi magiging visible ang maliit na sasakyan sa malahiganting trailer!"

That would make sense! Anila bagamat napatango lang ang mga kalalakihan but there's no way they're going to admit it.

"second they might stay underneath with the exact speed for the trailer not to crash them, that would be possible too!"

Napanganga naman ang head control officer ng marinig ang explanation ni agent 10, habang tahimik lamang na nakikinig si Det. Sembrano.

"That's how you people lost them and not because some rediculous—"

"No one said anything about it Ms. Victoria Mondejar!"

Napasinghap naman ang lahat, maliban kay Det. Sembrano nang marinig ang tunay na pangalan ni Agent 10, pati ang babae ay marahas na napatingin sa matanda habang nagtatanong ang mga mata.

"I'm sorry—all the gentlemen here seems to fell a little awkward with your presence so I think it's just fine to introduce you!"

The old man's voice was rather sardonic. Naikuyom naman ni Agent 10 ang mga kamao.

"Let's start it from the beginning!" 

Utos niya na di ininda ang introductory speech ng matanda. Atomatiko namang sumundo ang head control officer.

"Paused that one!"

Itinituro nito ang imahe kung saan makikita ang babaeng nakatayo sa may intrance ng naturang restaurant kung saan nagsimula ang lahat.

"The one that passed by is the one we're looking for—"

"What?"

Nagulantang na sabi nilang lahat.

"What is what? Who are you people chased—"

Di makapaniwalang tanong ni agent 10 sa kanila.

"But this one is the owner of that car we chased—"

Turo ng head of control officer sa isang babaeng nakatayo sa may intrance ng restaurant.

"What?—Zoom it!"

"She's the owner of that black sedan—"

"What the fuck? you people chased the wrong—wait, zoom it slowly!"

Makita roon ang imahe ng babae na unti unting humarap sa kamera na parang sinadya nitong ipinapakita ang mukha and she even smile and wave.

But before agent 10 could really identify her the monitor went black followed with a song "Believer!"  played in the background.

"We are hacked—reboot the system!"

The head control officer shouted in panic dali-dali namang kumilos ang lahat ng nasa control panel. 

"I think I knew her!" 

Ani Agent 10 while closing her eyes and remembering everything in her memory sa kanyang utak.
