Chapter 6 : Troubles Before Being Born (2/2)

"Roger, when are you going to leave?" Rouge said looking at the sick and pale looking man next to Bertha. "We got all the things ready. We are ready to leave this place and go into seclusion." Rouge continued.

"You are not even worried about me? I'm quite sad." Roger said jokingly.

"If you didn't decide to have another woman maybe I would but for now we need to worry about Bertha's child," Rouge said with worry.

"I will leave once you guys are done. We are going to do this according to the plan." Roger said without a single fear in his eyes.

Suddenly, someone came in inside the house.

"Rouge!" A shout can be heard belonging to a female. Purple-hair, black lipstick, and a hippie get up. This was Rouge's sister, Lin. "The Marines are here!"

"What?" Rouge panicked. 'Someone sold us out?' she thought even furthered.

"That shouldn't be possible," Roger interjects. "There's no one else but us knows I'm here." he continued.

"There is no time for y'all to play the blaming game," Bertha said with a grunt. "We need to move quick!" She hopped off her bed, albeit with difficulty, and immediately started to pack.

"S-she is right. Make sure no one sees Roger or this whole island might be persecuted with treason." Rouge's sister said.

The whole group started to coordinate. Lin stayed behind the house while the other three went to the secret passageway that enters them to Roger and Bertha's ship when they first came here.

A few minutes later, the group successfully managed to reach the dock without any problems.

On the other hand, Lin was hiding a secret that no one on the household knows.

*Knock* *Knock*

Lin immediately opens the door. It was the marines.

"Please come in, sir," Lin said with a devious grin.

The Marines scoffed at Lin and went inside the house.

"Not too shabby I guess. Now tell me, where is it?" One of the Marines asked Lin.

"Down the basement, below the shelf. Turn right then head straight." Lin said. "So? Do I get my fair share of pay?" She said with a greedy smug.

"Heh, you outdated monkey. Get off the way. *spit* Thanks for telling me where they are." The marine excitingly said. "What would the world think if I, the great Morgan, captures the king of the Pirates..." the young man mutters to himself as he continues to walks forward.

"Oh about your share of pay... how about a no?" Morgan said without looking back to Lin.

"Hey, you," He said pointing at a random marine behind him. "Capture her for trying to help a criminal from escaping." As soon as he says that, Lin fell to her knees dejectedly.

Towards the dock, the three groups started to prepare the ship. But it was halted when they were stopped by a group of Marines.

"Where is Lin?" Rouge asked as she looked at the marines. 'Did she sold us out?' She thought. But she paid no mind to it as they need to leave as soon as possible.

"I will handle this. You guys go into the ship and leave." Roger said as he started to walk back.

"But you are sic-" Bertha tried to stop Roger but she was interrupted by Roger.

"Hah, do you think my sickness will stop me from protecting you guys?" Roger said with a heartful of a laugh. "Sit back there and wait for me." He finished as he flexed his weakened muscle. Flashes of pain can be seen through his eyes. Bertha was about to say something again but this time, she was stopped by Rouge.

"The man is right. Since the Pirate King's location was leaked, then that means there should be people at the level of admirals coming to this island soon. At worst, we may already be surrounded." Rouge said.

"Even I was reluctant to leave. All my friends, families, and people on this island will be persecuted with treason. But I have no choice because both your child's life and mine are on the line." Rouge continued.

"W-wait? You have a child?" Bertha said with a shocked face.

"Roger already knows this but we will talk about it later. For now, we need to leave." Rouge said... this time she worked twice as fast.

A few minutes later, the two was able to secretly leave the island. Luckily, no other Marine was on the sea. It seems like the one in charge of capturing the King of Pirates overestimated themselves.

Back to Roger.

Roger was able to easily defeat the marines. Just as said about the people living outside of the Grandline, they are visibly weak. With just a gust of Roger's will, all the people fell down unconsciously. He was about to join in the other two in the ship but since he was already caught, and dying soon, he might as well do the plan here.

His plan was to make a lot of trouble, long-lasting trouble. He will do this on his execution. His plan was to go to the grand line and be executed there.

He wished to be more flashy with his execution after all. Dying on one of the weakest Sea is just downgrading his title. But he has no choice.

Expecting to meet a figure of an Admiral level soon, he waited patiently. Of course, he made sure the ship the other two were in was able to leave safely. But anything else, he waited for hours. Until a large shaking is felt throughout the island.

*Thud*...*Thud*...*Thud*...*Thud*...

"ROGER!" A deep voice belonging to a man can be heard near the beach.

Roger then went out of the dock and headed straight into the beach, where the sound was coming from.

"Hahaha. If it isn't my lovely Garp coming to pay a visit to this dying old man." Roger said as he faced Garp to the eye.

"I see," Garp said with a vein popping out of his head. "I don't know how were you able to hide from us for almost a year. But don't worry. Today is the day you fall you donkey." Garp finished as he started to prepare for a fight.

Garp has long evacuated the people on the island so he is not afraid of any mishaps during the fight. For the first time, he was convinced that he is going to take down the behemoth without it escaping.

However, what Roger said after shocked him.

"Chill down old man. I am not going to fight." Roger said, earning Garp a confusing look. "You see, I am now old and frail, only awaiting my own death," Roger said ironically. He is only 52 years old and he still has long years before his death.

"I am here to Submit myself to the Marines," Roger said as he cripples his own arms and brought his knees down to the sands.

Garp then closes the gap between him and the assailant with caution. As soon as he reaches Roger, he was now convinced. Garp looked closely to Roger and felt that he is weakened. By a lot. The only reason he is still up and lively by this much is just by his will alone.

"Halt," Garp said as he raises his hands. Huge amounts of marine soldiers suddenly show up from all places and readied their weapons to Roger. They were camouflaged perfectly that even Roger was surprised.

"Hoh. And here I thought the people behind you were enough. I am guessing there is more?" Roger said comically.

"You don't need to know," Garp said as he cuffed Roger with Sea Stone Cuffs.

"Garp, I only have about a month before I die. I've known you for a long time and I entrust you, my wives and children's safety." Roger said silently to Garp. "Please put their identity into incognito and stray them from being like me." he finished as he falls unconscious.

(A/N: I think Roger trying to tell Garp not to make his kids into pirates are just you know... It's like parents telling their kids to go to college even though they have other plans in mind.)

"Hmph." Garp scoffed at Roger and proceeds at dragging him to the fleet.

A month later, the Pirate King was executed on one of the weakest seas in the world as to tarnish his name and weaken the Pirate's morale. But it did the opposite as the last words of Gol D. Roger ignited the people's excitement.

In just a few days, hundreds of big shot pirates came into Logue Town, the place where Roger was executed, as to press F to pay their respect.

Logue Town became the famed "The town of the beginning and the end". This was the place where the king of pirates was born and also executed.

A couple of years passed by and the two mothers in South Blue gave birth to their child. This was Bertha and Rouge. Sadly, they both died after giving birth. One woman, in particular, survived for a few more months until Garp came in and take in the two-child. This woman was Rouge.

Out of respect to Roger's last wishes, Garp decided to take in those two without telling their bloodline to the Marine Headquarters.
