The U.A. Sports Festival! One For All Vs. Overdrive!

Today was the day of the Sports Festival and I've never been so nervous in my entire life! Every class was led outside, I didn't think that there were so many students here, it was insane! We were told that we first had to get through an obstacle course which led to the stadium.

"Alright, on your marks, get set, go!" Present Mic announced.

It was almost impossible to get through the amount of people in front of me, then I remembered I could jump. I went into the air and got pretty far ahead from where I was before. I landed down next to Todoroki, Bakugo, and Deku.

"What the hell?! You should've been behind with the rest of the rejects!" Bakugo shouted.

There was no point in arguing with him, I need to stay focused.

[10 Minutes Later...]

The 4 of us made it to the last obstacle, after passing some robots and other students. It was a minefield!? I noticed Deku had a piece of a robot with him, shouldn't that have slowed him down? We were almost at the finish when I heard a loud boom sound, Deku came flying by us on that piece of a robot! I didn't think of doing that! I didn't know you could even do that!

[One Hour Later...]

We just finished this headband competition, and it was exciting! It was one hell of a close competition, but seeing all these people, it really makes me nervous now. Our last and final part of this Festival was basically to fight in a tournament. This is where that training is really going to kick in, thanks to Kirishima, I'm more than ready! Bakugo had to give some sort of speech, which didn't exactly sit too well with everyone. Then, we were matched with people that we were going to fight in the tournament, after a few people dropped out, that is. I had to fight Sero, which was after Deku's match with this Shinso guy.

I looked up at the stands and saw my parents, Annie, and my younger sister, Liz. They were waving at me and I waved back.

"Who're you waving at, dude?" Kaminari questioned.

"My parents and my sisters! Hey guys!" I yelled over to Annie, Liz, and my parents.

Mineta jumped out of his seat.

"YOU'VE GOT SISTERS?!" He shouted.

Sero wrapped Mineta up in his tape right before he could say anything else.

"Yeah, I thought I told you that?" I said to Mineta.

Deku walked out to the arena, and so did Shinso. I wonder what his quirk was. But, as the match started, I could tell that Deku was trying to keep to himself, but why? What was that Shinso guy saying?

"Why is Deku-kun just standing there?" I asked.

"He's trying not to fall under Shinso-kun's quirk." Ojiro told me, "He's got a Brainwashing Quirk. If Midoriya-san responds to him, it's over."

That sounds terrifying, hopefully Deku stays quiet. Just as I looked towards Deku, he ran towards Shinso but stopped in his tracks. Did Deku just...Get brainwashed? After a few seconds, it was almost as if a light switch flipped inside Deku's mind, he used his Quirk to snap out of Shinso's Brainwashing! He's charging at Shinso now and threw him out of the ring! Next up was me against Sero, this should get interesting!

We had to wait in these waiting rooms specifically for who was Fighter #1 and Fighter #2. I had to wait in the second room, which it didn't take that long until we were called out to the arena. I was walking down the tunnel that led outside into the arena, this was seriously nerve-racking. I took a deep breath and stepped outside to the arena. The crowd was cheering on both Sero and I as we stepped outside.

"Come on you guys! Give it everything you've got!" Everyone shouted inspiration.

I looked over at Sero and got in a fighting stance, "You ready? I'm not holding back!"

"Yep, I'm ready!" Sero smirked.

An airhorn sounded the start of the bout. I activated my Quirk and rushed towards Sero. Sero used his tape, he flung me into the air and sent me into the ground. I rebounded by back kicking Sero in the jaw. My kick sent Sero flying into the air, but he rebounded by grabbing me with a tape shot. Sero somehow taped me together!

"Leonidus, can you move?" Ms. Midnight asked.

"Y-Yeah! I'm not giving up now!" I replied.

He's only got my arms wrapped up, and there was no way I was going to break out of it anytime soon, so I need to use my legs!

"Huh, you're something else, Leonidus-kun!" Sero smiled at me.

I smiled back at him as I reentered Base Mode. Sero flew towards me by jumping off the ground with his tape, I had to make this one move right, or else I'm done for! It takes Sero a couple seconds before his tape can reach the ground, that's when I'll strike! Right on cue, Sero used launched his tape towards me, he zipped towards me. Perfect! I dodged his punch, and used my body weight to pull him back in. I put all my Overdrive into my legs and hit him in the stomach! It sent Sero flying out of the arena onto the outside!

"Ladies and Gentlemen, Hanta Sero has been eliminated! Moving on to the quarter finals is Alyx Leonidus!" Midnight announced.

People cheered and I walked over to Sero and helped him up.

"You okay? I hit you pretty hard." I questioned.

Sero had clutched his stomach, "Yeah, I'm fine. You did say you were going to go all out."

We both laughed and went back up to the stands with the others. Whoever won this next match between Todoroki and Kaminari would decide who I would face in the Quarter Finals.

Kaminari didn't get a chance to move before Todoroki used his ice to completely incapacitate him! So, it was either Deku or Todoroki that would be facing me next. The rest of the matches were really interesting, Momo Vs. Tokoyami, Iida Vs. Hatsume, Kirishima Vs. Tetsutetsu. This event was exhilarating! After the last match of first half of the tournament, Ms. Midnight had announced the next set of matches. Deku and I are the first match to start the quarter finals of the tournament. Interesting, I thought I'd face off against Todoroki!

[Several Minutes Later...]

I started to head down to the waiting room from the stands, I was super nervous! I went into the waiting room; it didn't take that long before we were called out to the arena. As I walked back out there, I didn't feel nervous anymore. If anything, I felt encouraged by everyone in the arena to do my best! I saw that the girls were down by the arena in cheerleader uniforms? Momo walked up to me.

"H-Hey... I just wanted to say good luck! I'll be rooting for you, Alyx!" She smiled.

I nodded at her, "If that's the case, then I'll do my best, I promise!"

As the match started, I noticed he lifted his arm and held his fingers out in a flicking style. Two of his fingers were broken.

"Hey Deku-kun, I think I can use my Quirk to heal your broken fingers." I yelled over to him.

"W-What? You can?" Deku questioned.

I ran over to him and activated my Quirk. I placed my hand on the top of his hand, it took a few seconds before I noticed that his fingers were completely healed.

"Here, I want you to fight at your best. I'm lending you some of my Overdrive for a bit. This should let you use that Quirk of yours to its full potential. Annie taught me this!" I grinned.

"Alright, now, let's get this going!" Present Mic announced.

Deku fired off a powerful gust of wind at me! I didn't think I felt pain as bad as that, but I couldn't let it phase me. I didn't even notice that he knocked me into the air, I was too focused on the power he let out with that flick. I landed back down on the ground and threw a fist at Deku, he somehow dodged it?! His Quirk must make him faster than I am in Base Mode. It felt like a back and forth battle, he would hit me with a move, and I would do the same back. I didn't notice that he had his left hand coming right at me, he hit me right in the stomach and sent me flying back. This couldn't be how it ends, after everything I've done in this battle.

I was worse for wear and so was Deku, but I couldn't lose here. I used my Overdrive to generate a blast to prevent me from getting tossed out of the ring. I rushed towards Deku and caught him with a fist to the face, then, he used that finger move and hit me in the face. I couldn't see out of my left eye, but I knew this was it. I felt myself going unconscious, I did everything I could. Something inside my head snapped, and I remembered something, something I must've said when I was younger.

[Flashback]

(I.R.P.: Listen to, "You Say Run")

"Mama, when I get to be a hero, I won't give up! No matter if someone's stronger than me! I promise!" I remembered.

"That's a good mindset to have! You'll be a fine hero; I just know it!" My Mother beamed.

[Present Time]

*THIRD PERSON*

Alyx's foot hit the ground, remembering this reignited a flame inside of him. He struggled to raise his head, Alyx's entire body dropped, and he clutched his face.

"I... I s-said to use... Our full power... R-Right... Deku-kun...?" Alyx muttered.

Alyx looked up towards Deku, he mustered the remaining strength in his body to stand up straight. His Quirk began to intensify as the stadium began to shake!

"BOOST FIRE!!!" He yelled.

The area around him was filled with violet-blue & rose gold light, and powerful gusts of wind were circling around the arena. Yaoyorozu and the others watched on as this intense display of power was unfolding!

"H-He's... He's using everything he has, why?" Momo questioned.

Sudden realization hit her as she remembered what he told her prior to the fight. Her eyes widened and she gasped.

"Yaoyorozu-san, what's wrong?" Jiro asked.

"Alyx is fighting not just for himself, but because he promised me that he wouldn't give up!" Momo noted.

Up in the stands, Annie watched and smiled, for the first time, Alyx was using his full power!

"WOW!! LOOK AT THIS FOLKS! ALYX LEONIDUS SEEMS TO BE FIRED UP FROM THAT ATTACK!" Present Mic shouted.

"Young Leonidus, this Quirk of yours is incredible... What exactly are you made of, kid?" All Might wondered.

Alyx stared Izuku down, red sparks appeared around Alyx's body. The entire stadium was on the edge of their seats as the match between Izuku and Alyx was coming to a close! Not a single person dared to move a muscle or blink!

"Mark my words, Midoriya-san, mark them well! I'm not giving up so easily! Until I can't breath anymore, until my body won't move, I won't quit! I can't let the promises I made to those I don't remember be broken, and I can't let the ones I've made now be either! So, if you're going to take me out, you better give it everything you've got, do you hear me, Midoriya?!" Alyx shouted.

Alyx and Izuku charged towards each other! Alyx's right arm was now an extremely bright violet-blue. Izuku had entered 100% of his One For All and the two rapidly approached each other! Alyx reeled his fist back and so did Izuku, both of their fists collided against one another's faces, creating a violet-blue windstorm that sprouted up out of the Sports Festival Stadium that could be seen for miles!

The stadium grew quiet as the windstorm disappeared. They all looked down towards the middle of the arena where it had been split cleanly down the middle! The two boys stood there, fists still connected to one another's face. Izuku slightly moved his hand further into Alyx's face, signalling that he was still conscious. He stumbled backwards as Alyx's hand dropped. His head dropped down and he began to tremble, but Alyx stumbled forward, and let off one last weak strike to Izuku's face.

He grabbed Alyx as he fell into him. A look of shock and awe fell over Izuku's face. Class 1-A and 1-B were dumbfounded, after being hit with a full power shot by One For All, Alyx managed to stay conscious! Even if it was just for a short while!

"He did that... For me?" Yaoyorozu muttered.

Izuku looked down at Alyx, who was bleeding badly from his head. He picked Alyx up and started hobbling out of the arena. Everyone starting cheering and hollering, chanting both of their names! The thousands of Pro Heroes in attendance weren't just impressed by the outcome of the match, but by Alyx himself!

*LEONIDUS' P.O.V.*

[20 Minutes Later...]

I woke up in Recovery Girl's Stadium Office. My face hurt like hell! I sat up and Recovery Girl made her way over to me.

"Glad to see that you're awake, you took quite a punch from what I heard! I felt the impact all the way in here!" She told me.

I looked down and noticed that the only part of my U.A. Gym Clothes that wasn't completely destroyed or blown away were my pants, even they had some holes in them!

"I'm guessing I lost, huh?" I asked.

"As far as I can see it, you've truly won in some aspects." I heard All Might say.

He walked into the room, "Young Leonidus, you have no idea how proud I am of both of you. I think some of the other Pro Heroes can say the same."

I smiled at him and went to move my right arm, but realized that it was in a cast.

"G-Geez... Did I really use that much of my Quirk?" I laughed.

All Might helped me out to the stands, everyone seemed to be ecstatic!

"Dude, that was fuckin' manly!" Kirishima beamed.

Even Deku was asking how I managed to let off one more punch before falling unconscious, I guess I really didn't know either. I went to sit down and Momo helped me. During the rest of the Sports Festival, she sat really close to me.

[1 Hour Later...]

The tournament ended with Bakugo being the winner. He's amazing with that Quirk, I've never seen anyone move around like that, especially with an Explosion Quirk like his! And, as per usual, he was still furious at pretty much everything, they even had to tie him up during the award ceremony. After the Sports Festival was over, I met back up with Deku.

"Hey, I gotta ask you something, Deku-kun." I told him.

"Yeah? What's wrong, Leonidus-san?" He replied.

How would I ask him about his Quirk without it being awkward? He seems oddly secretive about it.

"That Quirk of yours, One For All, how does it work?" I questioned.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone freak out as much as Deku did once I asked him that.

"W-WHAT?! I-I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN!?" He yelled.

"Woah, woah, take it easy! I accidentally read your mind while we were fighting!" I yelled back.

Deku stopped freaking out and calmed down.

"Oh, you can do that?" He calmly asked.

I nodded at him, and he sighed in relief. I guess there really wasn't any other way to put it.
