Taming Anger! Control Over Fear!

After witnessing the spectacle that was Kirishima Vs. Sato during that arm-wrestling competition yesterday, there was one thing I learned from it. Never let someone whose Quirk makes them stronger by eating sugar go up against someone who, and I quote, "Won't quit because if I do, that's unmanly and I'm not fuckin' unmanly." It ends up with you having to fix a kitchen table that's split in half, alongside the floorboards beneath it. Also, narrowly escaping being walked in on was quite the experience as well, thank God I have a Quirk that makes me move fast!

"Alyx? Is everything alright?" Midnight asked me.

"Huh? Oh, yeah! Just reflecting in my head, that's all." I replied.

Midnight smiled and cracked her whip, "Good, I thought I already lost you there for a minute. So, here's what we're working on today, Anger Management."

"Anger Management? What for?" I questioned.

"You're Rage Quirk, Alyx. In order for you to avoid outbursts of anger out of annoyance, you need to learn how to keep your cool. Don't worry about me, I'll enjoy the pain, trust me." Midnight explained.

"A-Are you sure? I really don't want to hurt you again. Aren't there other exercises we could do?" I asked.

"I'm certain, Alyx. If you're wanting to get better with it, you're going to need to tame it." She advised.

I took a deep breath in and exhaled, I closed my eyes and activated my Rage Quirk. I felt those two Rage arms wrap around mine.

"How are you feeling now?" Midnight asked.

"Would it shock you if I said I was a little angry?" I joked.

I heard her walk over to me and stand right next to me. She started to blow in my face and poke my arm and face.

"How are you feelin' now? Eh?" Midnight badgered.

I felt two more Rage arms come out of my back, "Pissed, annoyed."

She started pressing her finger further into my face, almost pushing my head to the right. She was rapidly poking me and flicking my forehead. She stopped as two more Rage arm burst out of my back.

"How's it going now, hotshot? Feeling antsy?" Midnight grinned.

My entire mind and body were telling me to lash out at her in some shape or form. I clenched my teeth and kept my mouth shut.

"Oh my, you naughty boy! Are those... Hickeys? If you were just a year older, they'd be all over you, I'd make sure of that." She flirted.

I slowed my breathing down and steadied it. I unclenched my fists and relaxed. I opened my eyes.

"Yes, they are." I calmly answered.

Midnight was in awe, she quickly clapped her hands and smiled!

"Amazing, Alyx! Now, one more thing, I'll give you a simple test." Midnight told me.

She held her arms out to the side, "I bet you're feeling rather riled up inside. How about you take it out on me? I'm all yours!"

I stood there silently and Midnight grew started to get upset.

"JUST PUNISH ME ALREADY!" Midnight demanded.

"I refuse." I spoke softly.

"But I- Wait... I'm not feeling frustrated anymore...?" Midnight muttered.

"Ironic, isn't it? My Rage Quirk has calmed you down. I'm learning quite a lot about my Quirk. Right now, I'm absolutely seething with rage on the inside. But thanks to you, Midnight, I think I'm starting to understand how to control it." I calmly deadpanned.

She looked down and saw the red and black smoke surrounding her and the entire room.

"Incredible... You've only held it for 5 minutes and yet you're already learning so much. You're doing amazing so far, Alyx!" She complimented.

I took a look down at my hands and finally saw what the Rage arms looked like. They kind of looked like how Dark Shadow looks like, except they were mostly red. I had no clue what I looked like, but I felt lines on my face that went up to my forehead. I reverted out of my Quirk and looked at Midnight.

"That was... Fucking awesome! I actually did it!" I beamed.

I ran over, picked Midnight up, and hugged her.

"I did it! I really did!" I laughed.

"Great job, kid! Now, let's keep it up, shall we?" Midnight replied.

[2 Hours Later...]

Midnight helped me work out the kinks of my Rage Quirk some more, I was starting to get more comfortable using it now that she's helped me. I walked back home to the dorms and made it to my room. I activated my Rage and stood in the middle of the room.

"Huah CHA!!" I shouted.

I punched and kicked at the air. I used my Rage Arms to do the same without wrapping them around my arms. I stopped and wondered what to do next.

"Hmm... What if I made a pose for it? Something menacing..." I muttered.

I bent backwards and posed, "WRRRRRRRRYYYYY!!!"

I stood up straight and nodded. That pose could work! I might ask Aoyama or someone else to help me out with it, though. I could always go back into the Seventh Plane and ask All Might for help!

"Okay, from the top, one more time!" I smiled.

I repeated the pose and shrieked. I stuck my hand out afterwards and made finger guns.

"Kapew bitch! Kapew!" I muttered.

I somehow shot out beams of my Rage and it went through my glass balcony door. I looked down at my hands and grinned.

"Sweet! I didn't know I could do that!" I exclaimed.

"Seems like someone's having fun." I heard Momo's voice.

I tensed up and yelped, which reverted me out of my Quirk. I felt my face heat up and I looked to the side.

"I-I didn't think you were home! You didn't see anything, did you?" I questioned.

"I did, that was honestly rather adorable! I'm glad to see that you're using your Quirk, darling." Momo smiled.

I rubbed the back of my head and smiled, "Yeah! I didn't even realize all of the things I could do with it!"

Momo walked into my room and looked at my floor.

"You do realize that you're bleeding, right?" She observed.

I looked down at my carpet and saw that it was stained with my blood.

"Aw, shit! Not on the carpet!" I whined.

I turned around and bent down quickly, I activated my Overdrive and tried to clean the blood, but it just wasn't working. I stood back up and huffed frustratedly.

"Woah, are you bleeding too? Why-" I stopped myself as soon as I realized.

"C-Can you just... Wipe it off me please?" Momo looked a bit queasy.

I put my hand on my back and healed myself, the blood flew off of Momo and was brought right into my back. I turned around and look at the stain on my carpet that was still there.

"You know, I never realized how truly terrifying it is watching your own blood float over and return to your body." I told her.

"Yeah, I never realized that either, hopefully we never have to witness that again." Momo replied.

"Well, that makes two bodily fluids of mine that you've had on your face." I smirked.

Momo's face turned bright red and she looked at me.

"A-Alyx Sienna Leonidus! The audacity of that statement! You've been listening to Mineta, haven't you?" Momo responded.

"Nope, I'm just really quick on my feet when it comes to quips and things. Also, it's cute when you get flustered!" I laughed.

I got changed out of my hero costume and put on some sweatpants.

"So, you're home awfully early. Who were you interning with again?" I asked.

"I'm doing my Work-Study with Nejire-Chan, she's still maintained her bubbly personality, which is rather nice. It's definitely needed nowadays." Momo told me.

"Yeah, so, how's that Work-Study going? With this new law and all that." I wondered.

"Things have definitely changed, Alyx. Nejire-Chan has to be around me at all times or else I can't do anything outside of the law. But at least we can defend ourselves though, I guess." Momo remarked.

I could tell by the way she ended her sentence she was worried.

"I already know what you're thinking and yes, I'm worried. What happens if there is a major villain event right at our front door? Could we still defend ourselves then or do we just lay down and die?" Momo questioned.

"We'll do what we have to do to survive, that's what. I'm not about to let some dumbass law get in the way of protecting our own lives. You'd be crazy to think that, I'd protect you guys, regardless of any law!" I reassured.

"You're telling me that you'd willingly get incarcerated if it meant protecting all of us?" Momo asked.

"If they can catch me, then yes." I replied.

She shook her head and sighed, "Good grief..."

[5 Minutes Later...]

I stood on the arm of the couch and looked down on Kaminari who was on the floor in fear.

"YOUR ACTIONS ARE CONDEMNED AND SEEN AS AN ACT AGAINST GOD!" I shouted at him.

Jiro, Momo, and Shinso walked into the Common Room.

"Alyx, first off, why are you not wearing a shirt? Second off, what in the hell are you two doing?" Jiro questioned.

"Going ape mode and Kaminari & I are reenacting a deleted scene from All Might & Friends." I answered.

"D-Darling... What?" Momo said with a concerned look.

"I don't believe he stuttered, Yaoyorozu. Didn't you hear him?" Kaminari asked.

They all stood there, clearly dumbfounded, and walked away. I looked back down at Kaminari who was looking up at me.

"Alright, so... Where were we again?" I wondered.

"Uh... Ah, crap. I completely forgot!" Kaminari answered.

I just shrugged my shoulders and jumped down onto the floor. I helped Kaminari up, then we both walked into the kitchen. I noticed that it was just us 5 still, usually Deku and Shoto would arrive around this time. I pulled my phone out and decided to look through the news. Something caught my eye, something that I didn't expect.

It was an article about V.I. Vanilla, apparently, he's been pronounced dead? The report said that witnesses heard an explosion, but when police arrived, all they found was a piece of Vanilla's hero costume. There weren't any char or blast marks around the area from this explosion, so they can't exactly rule out how he died. There was only a note left by the killer, it read, "Dead." I guess it wasn't obvious from the start...

"Holy shit, V.I. Vanilla's dead!" I exclaimed.

"What? Really? What happened?" Momo asked.

"Apparently, people heard what sounded like an explosion nearby. Police and other Pro Heroes arrived only to find just a piece of his hero costume. There wasn't any blood splatter or any marks from a blast. Whoever did this, must've been in and out quickly, and they must be experienced." I explained.

"No way, that's crazy! The guy was a dick, but he didn't deserve to die!" Kaminari chimed in.

"Yeah, as arrogant as he was, he was only doing it for the attention. Who could've caused an explosion and gotten away without leaving a trace of evidence behind?" Shinso added.

I sat there and thought, a Quirk similar to Bakugo's wouldn't have left nothing behind. There would've been scorch marks around the area and possibly body parts burnt to a crisp. This guy was precise, in and out almost as if nothing happened.

"That's a good point, I guess we can't really deduce anyone yet until we find more clues, IF we can find any at all." I responded.

Momo looked at me, "Alyx, you aren't saying that you're going to try and find out who this person is, are you?"

"Only if I have to, if they need me to help, I'll help. Besides, Midnight & I could disguise an investigation as a Work-Study. If they've killed one Pro Hero, chances are they've most likely done so in the past." I noted.

"So, we've got a potential serial killer on the loose in Musutafu, wonderful. Just what we needed after dealing with some guy who broke in and gave us all nightmares and Tomikoa." Jiro sighed.

At this rate, I guess I couldn't be surprised either. Right when we start to be at peace, shit falls apart, and then the cycle restarts again. This is just getting interesting by the day. Soon, everyone came home after a few hours, and we all discussed our internships. A lot of us were learning new ways to use our Quirks!

[9 Hours Later...]

I woke up to a loud thump coming from downstairs. These floors must be hollow or my Quirk has really improved my hearing. I got up and rubbed my eyes before leaving my bed. I opened my door and looked both ways down the hallway. I made my way downstairs quietly and I got down on the floor. The stairs right before the last floor gave me a perfect view into the Common Room and the Kitchen without me being seen.

There was some man firmly planting his hand on the kitchen table, then both refrigerator handles, and finally two chairs around the kitchen table. The man left through a window and silently closed it. He was a dirty blonde-haired man with brown eyes, his hair was short and slightly combed over, he looked to be about 27-30 years old. I wasn't sure about his height, since I couldn't exactly tell. I waited a minute or so before I slowly moved downstairs. I approached the chair facing the Common Room and touch it. I took my hand away from the chair, as soon as I did, I heard a "click" noise. The chair exploded!

"WHAT THE-" I managed to shout and guard myself.

The explosion blasted me back into the Common Room and I smacked into the wall next to the T.V. I slowly mustered the strength to get up and I heard footsteps coming down the stairs.

"Alyx! What's going on?" Deku asked.

"D-Don't... Go into the... K-Kitchen." I croaked.

Kirishima and Momo rushed over to me and helped me over to the couch. Deku and the others carefully entered the kitchen.

"Fridge handles... T-Table top... Don't let them touch it!" I exclaimed.

Kirishima nodded and looked up, "HEY! DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING IN THERE!"

Hopefully everyone listened! I looked down and saw that my right arm was broken and sort of burnt from the explosion. It felt like the entire right side of my face was on fire as well, I could barely open my right eye, thankfully my lenses weren't damaged. Momo brought down a few cloths of different sizes that were dripping with water and the pouch from my hero costume. She pulled a vial of Overdrive out of the pouch and poured it on her hands.

"Okay, this'll sting a little, but this should at least heal your broken arm." Momo told me.

She placed her hand on my arm and began to heal it. I winced from the pain and within seconds, it was healed. Momo placed a cloth on the right side of my face and on my entire right arm.

"Midoriya, I need you to run upstairs to the first floor and grab those bandages from the medicine closet! Koda, I need you to go with Midoriya and find some sort of lotion!" Momo instructed.

Deku and Koda rushed upstairs and Momo continued to hold the cloth against my face. Shoto knelt down next to her and put his hand on my right arm.

"Yaoyorozu, I can handle this. Call Mr. Aizawa and tell him what's going on." Shoto calmly responded.

She nodded and left my side to call him.

"S-So... Does this mean that... We'll be scar buddies?" I joked.

Shoto softly smiled and shook his head, "Well, depending on how severe your burns are, maybe."

Deku and Koda made their way downstairs with bandages and lotion. Momo hurried over to me and helped Deku wrap the bandages around my arm and the right side of my face after they put lotion on the burned areas. Deku helped me sit up and stand up. I already knew that this week was gonna be a blast...
