I was up all night trying to readjust my contact lenses. Hatsume's a genius, that's for sure, but there's definitely some minor flaws in these "everything proof" lenses. I felt Momo wrap her arms around my waist as she rested her chin on my shoulder.
"Aren't you going to bed, darling? It's getting late." She yawned.
"Once I get these few adjustments done, I will." I responded.
She hopped over and sat in between my back and the back of the chair. Momo wrapped her legs around me, she watched as I finished up making those final adjustments to those lenses.
"Aaaand... Done! This should not only enhance my vision, but also block various particles and debris from becoming an irritant to my eyes! Any kind of liquid substance won't harm me either! Not to mention the durability of the lenses has also been increased as well!" I beamed.
"Could you speak like that again, but slower and more sensually, that was extremely erotic." Momo purred.
As I narrowed my eyes, she started to giggle, I still wasn't used to this whole love language stuff.
"Anyways, I'm surprised you haven't seen what I'm wearing, darling. I would've figured it would've been the first thing you saw." She noted.
"Hm? What do you-" I wondered.
She stretched her legs out as I rolled back my rolling chair. She... Was wearing... Blue fishnets that ended at her thighs. I simply got up from my chair, walked outside to my balcony and slid the door shut. I put a force field around my balcony to keep the noise in.
"LET'S FUCKIN' *Extremely Loud TIE Fighter Noises*!!!" I roared.
I stood up straight and got rid of the force shield. I calmly returned to my room after.
I looked at Momo, "Those are... Nice. I think they're cool."
"Is that what you're really thinking right now?" Momo giggled.
"I am on another plane of existence currently, I'm not talking about the Seventh Plane, either. I understand divinity now." I responded.
She shook her head and smiled, "Let's just go to bed, hun. I'm exhausted!"
[The Next Morning...]
After a wild night, which I thought Momo was exhausted, I woke up not tired for once! Momo was up before me, she gave me a tired smile as she got ready for school.
"At least I can actually walk to school, didn't you have to carry me last time?" She yawned.
"Mm hmm, I think so." I groggily replied.
She walked over and gave me a kiss, "Well, I shall see you once school has ended, love!"
"See you later, Momz!" I smiled.
She left my room, right as my door shut, my bathroom door flew open! Luna stood there, her legs in somewhat of a squat, and her arms out to her sides. She somehow found a cowboy hat!
"Hands to the sky, pardner! You're sentenced to death for disturbin' the sleep!" She drawled.
I put my hands up and sighed at her. She made a finger gun to point at me.
"Oh no, I'm in terrible danger, whatever shall I do?" I feigned worry.
"NYAA!!" She giggled as she pounced on me.
Luna sat on my stomach; her smile was a little too bright for me at the moment.
"Where'd you get the hat?" I wondered.
"Momo made it for me! Looks pretty cool, huh?" She beamed.
"Y-Yeah, it looks interesting to say the least!" I chuckled.
Luna leaned forward nearly putting her face on mine, "So, what are we gonna do today? Ooo! What if we... Wait no, that wouldn't work..."
She rambled on with a bunch of "Nekos" and "Nyas" mixed in between her words. I heard Chuntaro do his regular chirping when he wakes up which caused Luna to snap her head towards him.
"Luna, what did I tell you?" I sighed.
"The bird is free game for the taking?" She responded.
"N-No! Birds are your friends, not your food, Luna!" I scolded.
I had to hold her back from attacking Chuntaro, which was quite the struggle! Luna eventually gave up the struggle attempt.
"Okay, Chuntaro's coming with us, so you two need to behave yourselves around each other. Got it?" I told her.
"Fiiiiine, I won't try to eat him." She rolled her eyes.
I turned around and patted my back, "Alright! Hop on!"
She pounced onto my back as she let Chuntaro out of his cage. We took off out of my balcony and towards Musutafu.
"That place! Right there!" Luna pointed.
It was just a nearby rooftop, why would she want to go down there? I flew down towards the rooftop where she quickly hopped off me. Luna looked over the edge of the roof, I guess she hasn't seen Musutafu like this. Her smile looked as if it was fueled by memories. I walked over to her and leaned against the railing.
"Alyx, thank you so much." Luna spoke up.
"Hm? What for?" I asked.

"For not casting me out onto the streets like everyone else has. There's something I've been meaning to tell you as well. The whole not knowing who I was thing was a lie, for the most part, the only thing true about it was that I don't know my real name. My Mom and Dad... I'm not sure where they went, I woke up one day and found myself in that adoption center where you got me from. I was just so scared that if I ever told you the truth, you wouldn't let me stay, so I had to come up with a lie like I always do." Luna admitted.
I put my arm around her and hugged her, "Even if you told the truth, I wouldn't toss you away like garbage. I knew something was wrong as soon as you showed yourself to me and explained your Quirk. In a sense, it wouldn't have been right if I gave you the same treatment you've been used to almost your entire life."
"Is it because you're a hero? Is that why you're so kind?" Luna sniffled.
"It's not because I'm a hero, it's because it's the right thing to do, Luna. It doesn't take much to give someone your kindness, neither does it hurt to make them smile. I'm kind because you never know what anyone has gone through, what they've seen in their lifetime. I care so much for people like you because you deserve it, you deserve to hear those words you've been dying to hear for all your life, but most importantly... Seeing someone else smile, that's the most important thing to me. The real heroes are those that get handed the worst kind of fate, but keep smiling through it." I explained.
I looked down at her and smiled, "Luna, people like you, you're really a hero. If you struggle through hardships but bounce back as if nothing's wrong, that's true strength. So that's why, I wholeheartedly believe, that you're MY hero, Luna."
Her eyes widened as tears filled them, she hugged me tighter as she bawled her eyes out. I hugged her and gently rubbed her back.
"Thank you! Y-You... You're a real b-blessing, you know that? This place d-doesn't deserve s-someone as kind as you!" Luna sobbed.
"In all honesty, a place like this could use some kindness." I smiled.
I wiped the tears from her eyes and sat down on the ground. She somehow curled up into my lap, I guess she really does do everything a cat does! I patted her head, Chuntaro then landed on my shoulder.
"We should get home, hm! Should we get home, hm?" Chuntaro chirped.
"Eh, we'll be fine, unless you're hungry. Are you hungry, Chuntaro?" I asked.
"Yeah, hm!" He agreed.
I nodded at him, "We'll leave soon then."
As I combed through Luna's hair, I couldn't help but doze off, her purring was really relaxing.
[A Couple Hours Later...]
I shot up after I drifted asleep, I looked around me and saw Luna sleeping with Chuntaro on my lap. I figured she would've eaten him since I was asleep! I lifted her up, Chuntaro woke up from his nap, he flew up and rested on my shoulder. I activated Gear Two and took off towards the dorms. After a few minutes of flying, we landed down on my balcony, I entered my room and set her down on my bed. I fed Chuntaro before putting my blanket over Luna. I sat down at my desk to work on the extra bit of school work I had to finish up.
"Here you go, hm!" Chuntaro bubbled.
He set an extra pencil down next to me, "Oh, thank you, Chuntaro!"
It took me about 10 minutes or so to finish these worksheets, I heard Luna yawn, I looked over and saw her rub one of her eyes as she sat up.
"Good afternoon! D'ya sleep well?" I greeted.
"Mm, I'm hungry." She groggily muttered.
She held her arms out to me, her eyes still slightly shut, was she wanting me to pick her up? I walked over to her and lifted her up.
"Hey, where'd you get my shirt from? The thing's almost like a dress on you!" I chuckled.
"Your closet, where else?" She answered.
I blinked a couple times, "Yeah... I kind of guess I should've expected you to answer like that."
She smirked at me and she latched onto me. We walked downstairs to get her something to eat.
"Fiiiiissshhhh... FiiiiIIIIiiiiissshhh..." She whispered.
"You're wanting fish? What if we don't have it?" I questioned.
"Then go get moooore." Luna replied.
Thankfully, we had quite the selection of fish! I got to work while Luna was still clinging onto me. Honestly, I never thought I'd be a decent cook until Bakugo taught me some stuff. I finished cooking, set everything down on a plate, then set her down on one of the kitchen chairs. She looked down at her plate and started to reach in with her hands.
"Ah! Luna, don't use your hands! Use these instead!" I advised.
I handed her a fork and knife, she looked down at them confused, "What are these?"
"That's a knife and that's a fork. You use them to eat!" I explained.
Luna picked the fork up and stabbed the salmon. She chomped the thing down in just a couple bites! She cleaned her plate in at least a minute or two!
"Done! That was really, really, really good!" She grinned.
"D-Did you shove that whole salmon in your mouth? That was fucking awesome!" I beamed.
"I've always been able to do that! It's just a hidden talent of mine!" Luna winked.
I sat down next to her, "I think I could do that, maybe? I have shoved a whole cupcake in my mouth before. Then again, salmon is a lot wider than a cupcake... Eh, maybe I couldn't."
We talked with each other for quite a while. We eventually went back upstairs to my room to take another nap.
[Several Hours Later...]
I felt someone touch my nose, I opened my eyes and saw Momo leaning over me.
"You're an amazing sight to wake up to." I somnolently flirted.
"And you're an amazing sight to come home to." She smiled.
Luna was asleep on her bed, Momo climbed into bed next to me with a book that she's been reading.
"Hey, can I talk with you about something?" Momo wondered.
"Oh, sure, what's up?" I nodded.
"I'd like to apologize for everything that I've done to you. You honestly shouldn't have forgiven me after those things I did. But... I'm still wondering why you forgave me; I understand it's because of what your Great Grandfather advised you, but I'm mostly wanting to know from you." Momo told me.
"Well, I guess it's because I didn't want you feeling the same way as I was. Although a part of me feels as if I could never really forgive you, I looked passed it, simply because nobody shouldn't feel like how I felt. I can't lie, I'm still holding that grudge in my heart against all of you. There's no possible way that I can get back what I lost. My innocence, morality, and my trust are all fractured, maybe even lost as well. So, at the very least, I could still offer you all the little forgiveness I had left in me." I explained.
Momo stayed quiet as I stared up at my ceiling. I closed my eyes and let out a sigh.
"And if I was wrong, I didn't really care. Even if nothing came of it, if we never got back together, at least we still would be friends. Even if that might've been awkward at first, I would've given it a shot." I continued.
Momo placed her hand on mine, I felt a ring get placed in my hand, I looked at it. Did she... She bought the ring again? I looked at her with one eyebrow lowered.
"I'll make it better, one step at a time, I promise. If forgiving me was the least you could do, then this would be the least I can do as well." Momo spoke softly.
I set the ring on my nightstand and rolled over to her, I wrapped my arms around her as I laid my head on her chest.
"Thank you, I didn't expect you to do that." I smiled.
Maybe I should try to get better with her instead of doing it on my own. I seriously think that they're being genuine, being that they're actually stopping those tests permanently, and they're helping me out more with my mental health.
