Chapter 5: The (not so) terrible party [3]

Silence…

The hall was plunged into such a silence that even a fly would seem like a truck crashing against a building if it were to flap its wings now.

Everyone stood there analyzing Hai's words.

The Jin's head was the same but he was quicker to regain his bearing.

"You haven't used a cent, you say? Bullshit! As if a waste like you would have your own money! Give me back you credit card!" The Jin's head exclaimed and soon, everyone in the crowd also agreed with his opinion.

Jin Hai (now Hai), the licking dog, the waste, enemy of women, arrogant bastard and lascivious man having his own money even though he didn't work for it?

Bullshit!

Hai not bothering with anyone, looked at the Jin's head.

"It is in the same drawer you took it out. It's in your office. Do you want me to give you the cellphone's number of my acquainted that is a neurologist too? Is everyone in this household forgetting things nowadays?" Hai was baffled that the Jin's head couldn't even remember the fact that he hadn't taken the credit card out of this mansion, no scratch that, he hadn't even taken the thing off the head's office.

How could he forget something like this?

"…"

Everyone was once again shocked but this time for two different reasons. The first is that Hai has guts for talking with the Jin family's head, one of the top 20 wealthy people in the whole China Federation as he was talking.

And the second was the fact that Hai didn't seem to be lying.

He said that he hadn't even taken the credit card out of this mansion, so was the Jin's head lying?

Hai looked at everyone being silent and decided what he had to do.

"Is that all?" He is going home!

Damned be politics.

Damned be those money-hungry people.

Damned be his arrogant sister who is fuming with anger.

Damned be the Jin's head's wife who seems to be having a heart attack due to anger.

Damned be everyone.

He wants to spend time with his waifu.

Why does everyone want to push him away but don't let him simply walk away?

Is everyone a tsundere?

Hai is not into tsunderes, mind you.

He is into or rather, wants to be in his waifu.

Soon, seconds passed and everyone seemed to have recovered from their shocked and dazed state.

Suddenly, a servant brough a black card with golden engravings in it and passed it to the Jin's head.

"M-Master. The card was really in the drawer of your office." The servant announced while trembling.

<At least! Finally, someone is being of use in this damn plot. Hurry up, I want to go home and spend time with my waifu.>

Jin Meili who heard this voice inside her head instantly turned even more furious.

She has been watching this shit-show since earlier but she has yet to see her useless "brother". The one who is doing all of this is someone else who she doesn't recognize.

A moment later however, she suddenly realized something.

'Your waifu?'

As far as everyone knows, no woman would agree to be Hai's woman even for a good sum of money.

He is simply that hated.

So, who is this "waifu"?

She glanced at Hai and her gaze then landed on the figure behind him.

'It is her, isn't it?' She thought as she smirked.

Indeed, Elena's figure would incite lust in any healthy man and her useless "brother" should be no exception.

'I wonder what Ye Chen would do if he knew that the waste has such a beauty at his side. He would probably beat him up and free her as the knight he is.' She thought and opened her mouth.

"Waste, is that maid your woman?" She asked in a mock tone.

Hai turned to her with an uninterested gaze.

"Bug be silent. The adults are talking." He said and turned to look back at the Jin's head.

A vein bulged on Jin Meili's forehead.

How dare he talk to her like this!?

She had to teach him a lesson so her reputation wouldn't take a hit due to this waste.

"You sure know how to bark loud for a dog. Now I wonder, what would this dog do if I called Ye Chen? He for sure would free this poor woman whom you have forced yourself into from you evil clutches." She said while hiding her smirk so only Hai would be able to see it.

Hai stopped.

The crowd seemed to also realize the incongruity of it. How was Hai accompanied by a woman? He must have forced himself into her and she is a maid, no less! A maid couldn't possibly go against the young master of the Jin family, so she could only endure it in silence.

Some people really have a fertile imagination.

Jin Meili's smirk widened when she saw him freeze.

'Hahahaha~ Serves you righ-'

She was cut off by the same voice from before.

<System.>

<[Yes host?]>

<Hypothetically, what would happen if I kill this bitch?>

<[The protagonist, Ye Chen would most likely find the host for a vendetta.]>

<What if I cut her limbs off and make her forget it?>

<[Host… Those are some dangerous thoughts.]>

<[Also, I shall remember the host that there are people in this hall that have more mana than the host. There are several of them hidden and closely paying attention to the host. Should you move to harm her, they would cast magic in less than half a second. Even you host, has to avoid being hit by this many magic at once and you would still have to protect Elena.]>

<System… do you think I'm stupid?>

<[Yes? I mean that as a question and not as an affirmation! I swear it!]>

<Do you think I would underestimate my enemies? Arrogance is the recipe to disaster. Ever since I stepped my foot out of my car, I have been spreading my mana through this whole estate. I can freeze this whole estate and everyone in it in less than a quarter of a second. Now for my question, can I do something to her?>

Jin Meili's face lost a bit of blood when she heard this but in the next moment she regained her bearings upon remembering that this waste wasn't even able to use magic.

<[The host is advised to not if he wish to live away from the protagonist's troupe.]>

<I see. It's unsettling but I'll make do with words.>

All this conversation lasted no longer than three seconds.

Right after, Hai looked at her then looked around and back at her once again.

"Eh…. Was I supposed to care or you were talking with someone else?" Hai asked with a neutral expression.

Jin Meili felt her heart beating raising and not for a good reason.

She looked at him and then opened her mouth.

"Why you-"

"Alright, thank you, not really, for your kind word. Nobody cares about what you have to say. Since you all haven't said anything else I have to do, I assume we're done here."

The Jin's head looked at him with annoyance and decided to end this farse already.

"We are done. You shall not use the surname Jin anymore. Farewell, trash. Guards, throw him out of here." He said with a mocking tone.

Hai simply looked at the guards that were approaching him and they suddenly flew and were embedded into the walls.

He gave a quick glance behind him and saw Elena lowering her hands.

He turned back to the crowd that was looking at it with shocked faces.

"Alright everyone, I wish you all a good night. Remember to not drink if you're going to drive and to have sense when doing things. I know where is the exit."

He said and turned around.

But just when he was about to go through the door, he suddenly paused and turned back.

"Oh, by the way. Jin Meili, Ling Su is sleeping with Ye Chen. Jin's head, your wife is cheating on you with your brother. And you-" Hai pointed at a more plump elf man. "Your daughter has slept with Ye Chen and is pregnant with his child, however he denied being the father even when the results showed he is. Good luck, and have a goodnight everyone."

Then Hai walked out of the mansion.

*CREAK*

Elena closed the door behind them and turned to her young master.

She could hear the commotion breaking inside due to her young master's last words. Everyone in the hall started whispering about it and couldn't help but question themselves if his words were true. After all, her young master had proven before that he was saying the truth even though it seemed absurd, so what if he was saying the truth again?

Her young master had successfully planted a seed of doubt in all the higher-ups of Hong Kong's head tonight and everyone would unconsciously take her young master more seriously from now on.

She wanted to smile at his achievement. When her young master said all those things before leaving, he might have sounded as if he wanted to get back at everyone for mocking him, but that wasn't it at all. He implemented his plans of making everyone start to see that he was more than what they thought.

You think you know your wife? I know her better than you.

You think you're rich? You are just a thief and everyone who you stole from is asking for pay back at your house.

You think I have to cooperate with you? I can do this alone, it will just take me a couple of days more.

Her young master had planted this seed that would fully bloom once he started making business openly. Nobody would underestimate him again when they understood how he is more than what he showed to everyone.

She was extremely happy for witnessing this historical moment in her young master's history, but first she had to vent her anger to fully appreciate her happiness.

"Young master…." She called rather embarrassedly.

"You are allowed. It's the red car in the left corner." Hai simply said while throwing his cigarette away and picking his phone.

Elena still stood there embarrassedly and tried to find the right words.

Hai who saw this, smiled sweetly, put his phone back in his pocket and hugged her.

"Young master?" Although Elena didn't dislike his hug, she was rather confused as to why he suddenly did it.

"it's ok, my queen~" He chuckled when he saw her ears getting red at his way of calling her.

"You have seen my worst and you still stood for me, you have always supported me and not judged me like the rest. So, I shall return this kindness even if just a bit. Be yourself with me. I don't care what you do; how you will be once you're old; if you don't see yourself as worth of my love or anything. I care only and truly only for you. Show me all your sides, all your worries and dreams. I will purge your worries and make you realize your dreams. No matter who you are or how you see yourself as, I love you. Even if you showed me that you have an absolutely trashy personality, I would still love you all the same. Go on, we need to go home to start our plans." Hai whispered in her ears with so much love that Elena blushed furiously and some droplets of water gathered at the corner of her eyes.

She brough her hands up and wipe away the tears that threatened to form and smile at him.

"Yes, young master." She answered and went towards the red car in the corner.

Now that her young master has said he wants to see all her sides, who is she to deny?

Hai simply smiled and started to watch some videos on his phone.

*CRASH*

*BOOM*

*CRASH*

*SHATTER*

*BOOM*

As for the red car?

The car belonged to Hai's adopted sister, Jin Meili, it was the most recent gift she received from Ye Chen and she absolutely loved it. She would go to everywhere with this car. It had even turned into her own "mark" to say.

And Elena just thrashed this car to the ground.

She was livid and absolutely pissed off when Jin Meili called her young master a dog and threatened to call Ye Chen to "free" her from her young master.

How dare she!?!?

That third-class whore is nothing more than a plaything for some trash protagonist and she dared to treat her young master with such disdain!?

HERESY!!!

*BOOM*

Meanwhile, Hai just took some glances at her and admired her figure while she was raging.

It was a rare occasion to see Elena going on a rampage and he was absolutely loving it.

As for if he was worried that Jin Meili and the protagonist will go after then because of the car?

He wasn't.

Although he really doesn't want to involve himself with the plot anymore, if it's because of his love, he doesn't mind.

Elena stood for him and with him through all his gruesome runs and worst moments.

Even when everyone betrayed him, she was there.

He is not one to forget a good deed.

But he is sure as hell,

He is going to repay Elena's care for him by making sure she is happy and have her wishes fulfilled.

He doesn't wish to get entangled with the protagonist and his troupe anymore, but if his love desires it, then why should he think otherwise?

She was selfless and stood by his side even when she received nothing for it.

Then, he will be selfish and make sure she receives everything this time around.

'Happy wife, happy life.' Hai thought.

A/N: Hello there! I hope you all are having a wonderful day.

I'm just passing here to do some minor explanations.

So, about the MC's "confessation", some may say that it was cringe, I do admit it was a bit cringe, however it was necessary.

The MC is broken, extremely so. All the punishments and runs have worn him out and no person would remain sane with it, and the MC is no different, he didn't fix himself, he learned to "mend" himself together and deal with it (but it's not that there is no way of fixing himself).

However, the MC really cares about those close to him, even more so about Elena. He isn't some edgy lord that thinks just because he has gone through all he went through, nobody understand his pain and he can be an ass or indifferent to every and anyone.

Also, I wanted to show him showing emotions and not being a cold guy, I don't want to make a plain or one-dimensioned character (I don't remember if this is the correct term, but oh well).

Second thing, later today or tomorrow I should be posting a chapter about the world's background. Just a general geopolitc explanation about the world they are in and some big players, because as this world is a cyberpunk one (don't worry, I haven't forgotten it and in the next chapters you will all see this) the big players are the truly important ones.

Third and lastly, I will be trying to write the smut chapter between the MC and Elena, but don't expect too much. I really have no experience writting this and don't know if it will come out good.

As of now I don't have a prevision for when I'll be posting this smut chapter, but fret not, I'll work hard.
