The New Level of Dungeon

The surrounding inside the new dungeon was darker than usual. It was mostly due to the high amount of Dark Element swirling around in the surrounding.

It would have been far harder to see in these surroundings but due to my perk of being friends with darkness, I was able to sense anything moving in my 50 meters radius and I was also able to see clearly.

After walking forward for a minute, I sensed 10 human-shaped shapes in my 50 meters range. There were about 20 of them, with all of them just roaming around slowly in a group. I used my "Stealth" and "Silent Steps" skill which made me almost unnoticeable.

I was able to walk towards them even while using my skill. As I saw them clearly, they were human-shaped but their faces drained of any color of living… how will anyone alive survive such a high amount of Dark Element?... They wore clothes like medieval civilians but walked around like corpses. They were Zombies.

Now, I just had to figure out if they were "The Walking dead" type zombies or the "World war Z" ones. I slowly crept towards them, I saw that the most concentration of the Dark Element was in their heads. And like every Zombie their weakness was their head. I used "Appraisal"...

[ Zombie (Undead Soldier)

When I was 5 meters away from the horde, I used "Flash Step" and sped toward them. All of them suddenly turned towards my direction and started baring their teeth. But before any of them could move, I beheaded two of them who were standing near each other. My passive skill "Death Eater" activated and I sensed a little increase in my agility. I suddenly sensed someone nearing me and I flashed out of their formation.

I turned around to see what happened? But from what I saw, I had an imaginary cold sweat running down my forehead. The Zombies were fast enough to reach the place where I was standing in just the 2 seconds I stopped. And two of them were eating the dead zombies I killed. 

I wanted to use this opportunity to kill them but there were 10 Zombies running towards me at a fast speed. I used this opportunity to try out my new skills. I used "Hollow Body", it made me far faster than before but with a 5% decrease in my overall strength, it was okay though, I was far stronger than these cannon folders.

I thought to use the " Gaze of death" but I knew, they being an undead it wouldn't work. So instead I used "Dead Man's Pyre" although it was more damaging towards the Living still it did the base damage on the Zombies. Two of the front ones died before reaching me, but the rest of them were still running with the fire burning their bodies, like some stuntman.

I used "Parallel Thinking" and started to massacre through the horde, as I killed them I could slowly sense the increase in my power due to my passive skill. 

Just as I had killed the 10 zombies running towards me, my sight went towards the two who were eating the corpse of the zombies I killed at the start. I could see that they were more buff than before and their heads had gained more muscle to protect it. Now they were turning towards the other corpses to eat, but after watching what happened I couldn't let it happen again. So I sped towards them using "Flash Step", but they stopped my daggers using their arms. I jumped back and used " Appraisal"...

[ Zombie Mutated (Rare Undead Soldier)

' So if they eat the corpses they mutate, but they are also rare otherwise most of them would have run towards the corpses instead of only two of them. But I must keep this in mind for the future as they can be more and maybe ones with different abilities. But for now, let's settle them. '

I used "Flash Step" and "Float" and started jumping from wall to wall confusing them quite a bit. As the dungeon wall was not that apart, I could easily jump from one to another. Then I used, "Giant's Strength" and then used "Sharpen" on my daggers. Just as I was near them, I used my finishing move "Dark Slash" with both of my daggers and combined it into "Dark Cross Slash". 

Their bodies were cut 3 to 5 pieces before dropping to the ground, but my slash traveled another 10 meters before striking the dungeon wall and making a big cross-shaped mark of about 10 meters. Now I had an estimate of my power, but I was also exhausted a little due to using almost every single of my skills. And then I sensed a reduction in many of my stats, which was due to my passive skill deactivating. 

This time there were 20 cards lying around, I was getting frustrated with this, picking up cards like I was cleaning my grandma's garden. "Hey System, do you have an Auto Loot system or skill?"

"Yes, there is a hidden system. Would you like to activate it?"

" Huh! Yeah, I would like to activate it. But, why is it hidden though?" I was frustrated that an essential option like this was hidden.

" While making the system, my creator hid some options so that the user could search it himself. You are the administrator now, but the options will only be revealed when asked about."

'Well, I will think about that later but first, let me check if there are any items for my need…'

After some time of checking through the items, all of them were either common or uncommon. So I sold them and used my skill "Corpse Absorption", gaining 5% of their stats as the zombie's bodies turned to dust.

After 10 minutes of massacring the zombies left and right, my surroundings changed to that of a modern apocalyptic city from that of a cave. My sensing range decreased to 10 meters. But before I could scan my surroundings, due to my high perception I heard a familiar sound and my passive shield flared and something small struck it at a high speed.

I turned towards the source of the attack and saw that a black barrel was sticking out from a large building complex with smoke coming out of the barrel. I remembered the object, it was a Medium range Sniper rifle. I understood that this dungeon has humans in it. I used "Flash Step" and lunged towards the building through which the shot came.

Shooters POV…

I was camping inside the building waiting for Zombies, instead, I saw a weird portal open up and a person wearing medieval armor came out of it. He had a certain aura of darkness looming around him.

I thought I was hallucinating because there was no way this magic mumbo jumbo could happen. I checked him by using my binoculars but what I saw made my spine chill. After seeing him up close, I could see that the person was just a skeleton with darkness radiating out from him. There were weird symbols on his bones that pulsed from time to time.

I was terrified of that abomination, so without thinking much I aimed at his head and took a shot. Suddenly, a dark shield flared around him and blocked my bullet and then… and then he turned towards me. His eyes, which were hollow but had fire dancing inside them, made me rooted to my spot. After that… he was not there anymore. I checked around to see if he was running towards me but I didn't see anything. I sighed thinking my life was saved but who knew I was dead the moment I pressed the trigger.

MC's POV…

I was flashing from wall to wall running towards the floor where the shot came from while thinking why were humans inside a dungeon. Was this all just a simulation or they were all made by the entity who sent me here but before that I need to catch him and take some information about what is going around here?

I was on the floor the shot came from, checking the rooms for the perpetrator of the assault. I was using "Stealth" and "Silent steps" to not make my target flee or commit suicide due to fear. Suddenly, I heard some rustling and a man's deep breaths. And I flashed inside the room…

Shooter's POV...

I was taking deep breaths to relieve the mental pressure of seeing that monster. He was like a God of death, whom no one can escape. I was still gloating about my making out alive of this encounter when I saw him… standing there like the God of death...

Well, wrote this chap in 1 and a half hours. The next chap will have the information MC took from the shooter(Suggest me the shooter's name) and the origins of the dungeon.
