An acquaintance (revised)

After Sarah left the office, a heated discussion broke out in the office.

Producer John Malkovich said: "She was good."

The other producer Mason and casting director also nodded. The girl performed very well and there was no problem with her acting skills. Except for having no prior fame, the girl fits all other criterias for the lead role. She has a beautiful face, good acting skills, appropriate age and most importantly, her pay will be minimum.

Director Jason nodded, but he didn't gave a proper reply and just circled Sarah Wilson's name on candidates list. He needed to audition other girls to make a proper decision, even if he's deeply impressed by Sarah Wilson.

Sarah left the studio not knowing that she had become one of the major choices for the role. For the next few days, she didn't get the confirmation call, so she could only wait patiently.

But even after waiting for a week, no reply was given by the studio, and Sarah's patience started to turn into anxiety. After a whole night of sleeplessness, the dark circles under her eyes were clearly visible. Her look was slowly turning back to the time when she first crossed over.

Looking at 12 pm on the clock, she stood up and went to kitchen to prepare for the lunch. Seeing the empty refrigerator, her original depressed mood turned even more sadder, and she picked up the apartment keys to go out for some grocery.

As Sarah was strolling through the shelves, she heard someone calling her from behind: "It's you, isn't?"

She turned around, and a person was standing just behind her. She almost jumped up in fright.

Chris hurriedly stepped forward to help the girl from falling down, "I am sorry. I didn't mean to frighten you."

"It's okay, I was just thinking about something and didn't see you. By the way, thanks for the help." After stabilizing herself, Sarah thanked the person and inspected other party properly. He was wearing a cap, but she could see his face clearly at such a close range. He looks in his mid twenties, dark brown hair, blue eyed, handsome and tall. Seeing the appearance of the person clearly, a surprise flashed in her eyes. The surprise was not because how handsome the man was, instead it was because she recognized the person. It was Chris Evans, the famous actor who will play Captain America few years later.

Chris was going through the supermarket to buy something instant to eat. The burner in his kitchen was damaged and he was bored from eating outside. While he was going through the shelves, he caught the sight of a familiar face he saw a month ago.

She was shopping in the vegetable section, just a few distance away from him. She looks quite different from before, but he could still recognize the unique beautiful face with just one look. The last time he saw her, she was wearing a mini party dress and had a rebellious and wild aura around her, but now a month later, she was dressed maturely, had a refreshing, mature yet girlish vibe around her.

Sarah looked at the star who approached her. As far as she can remember, they don't seem to have interacted before. "Yes?"

Chris was a little embarrassed. He didn't know what to say now, he just wanted to talk to the girl. In the end, he said awkwardly: "I saw you at the party last month."

Sarah nodded and continued her shopping. She went to a lot of parties in last month, so he might've seen her in any one of those.

Chris was dumbfounded by the balant ignore. He said stubbornly: "You were in the bathroom for a long time, I had to wait for an whole half an hour."

He hurriedly put a hand on his mouth to prevent himself from saying anything more, but it was a little late. He understood that he had made a fool of himself. He was about to explain when the girl started laughing.

Sarah was amused by the man's awkwardness, and couldn't control herself after seeing the cute embarrassed look on such a handsome face. She raised her hand for handshake: "Hello, Its Sarah Wilson." It's been a while since she laughed this happily.

Chris was stunned seeing the smile in front of him. He works in hollywood and sees many beauties everyday, from young ones to mature, from elegant to seductive, but he has to say the girl in front of him still ranks among the top. And when she laughs, her smiling face completely suppresses all the beautiful things he has ever seen. He was in awe till the girl's voice bought him back. He hurriedly raised his hand back for a hand shake:

"I am Chris Evans, you can call me Chris."

"I know. I have watched your "Fantastic four." it's amazing."

Chris didn't know what to say anymore. The scene again became quiet for a while. In the end, Sarah broke the silence: "It was nice to meet you, but I have to go now. And I am sorry for last week's inconvenience." She continued her shopping after a brief laugh.

Chris didn't know what to do. He obviously has a lot of experience of dealing with women, but he doesn't know why it all failed in front of this girl. And she also doesn't seem to be intrested in him, even after knowing that he's an actor.

Just as Sarah was about to leave for the meat section, she was blocked again.

P.S. I am not good at writing romance scenes, but I will try to improve them.

>> I want clear one thing. Although female protagonist has indeed lived till the age of thirty in her last life, but that doesn't mean she is suddenly omnipotent. Even in her last life, she spent the last few years in rehabilitation center. So, she still doesn't know of the ways of the world. The only factor is that she has a little bit of future knowledge and is a little more mature and bold for her age. But over maturity and boldness is often sometimes dangerous.

>> The protagonist will not be a perfect person. She will have many flaws and insecurities. After all, even if she doesn't admit, she's still a little girl who has always craved for a perfect family which she never got.
