Chapter 21: Christmas

<December 24, 2009,>

<Queens, New York >

It was the day of Christmas where many people would celebrate with their families, friends, and even loved ones. The falling snows slowly descended against the ground, the cold winter passed and felt it by every person happily walking around as they celebrated the night.

After the historical battle of two giants, the people couldn't still get over with it especially when Tony declared 'I am Ironman'. Many people were shocked by his declaration that every day tried to interview Tony or even the Government tried to control his weapon. However, Tony was smart even though he was threatened by the other authorities he loved the way people look at him with adoration on their faces.

Apparently, his stupid brother-like Kai ruthlessly commented on his actions as a showoff to the public and narcissistic personality but Kai in his last word commended Tony for what he did because many people were trying to confiscate his suit or even tried to kidnap him. 

Fortunately, tonight was the day of the Christmas celebration at Mama Bear's restaurant with the family. Oh, they have a special guest to celebrate with, and it was…..

"Merry Christmas, Miss Laura Ivanov. I apologized for disturbing this special night due to Tony insisting to celebrate here when we were invited by Kai." Pepper said with a simple kiss on Laura's cheek.

"Merry Christmas, Ms. Ivanov." Hogan followed.

"Ohh, don't worry about it. We are delighted to see you celebrate with us. Come inside, there's no customer tonight since today is a special day." Mama Bear replied with a happy face.

"Ohh, it's Sister Pepper." Lily excitedly said then approached Pepper to talk something about 'money'.

"Ohh, guys you're here. Wait, where's Mr. Star-?" Kai asked the newly arrived guest.

He heard a sound of an engine flying towards their location from 100 meters. When it was near to them, it slowly decreased its position to land outside of the restaurant.

They saw the Ironman suit of Tony landed outside and Tony abruptly goes out. Sooner after, he entered the resto.

"Merry Christmas, am I late?" Tony said.

"Mr. Stark, why did you park the suit outside of our restaurant!?" Kai cried out while pointing his index finger towards the Ironman suit on the outside where many people took a picture of it.

"Relax, Kid. Give them space will ya? Come on let's get started since I'm hungry." Tony calmly replied.

Kai stared for a moment and decided to leave it alone since he heard far from them were guarding the suit or more likely Tony in secret.

The event finally started with a Christmas theme song. Everyone sang together that brings out a harmonic atmosphere. After they finished singing, Laura spoke up.

"This wonderful event was dedicated to everyone. For our guest , you are welcome to join us in New Year since it will be the 10th birthday of my Kaios. Thank for attending with us, Mister Tony Stark and co." Laura said with a smile.

"It's been our pleasure and we definitely attend his birthday, Ma'am. Kai is not like my bodyguard but also looked to him as my own little brother." Tony said while Pepper and Hogan nodded.

"Thank you. Ohh we shall start before the food turns cold."

Everyone smiled and after that they quickly choose their own food. The table was packed with a variety of foods, locally or foreign cuisine which was the food made by Mama Bear and Patrick.

"Ahh, I miss these foods and they are sooooo delicious." Pepper commented while eating the chest part of roaster turkey.

"Oh, I also loved the food that you make, Pepper especially eating you was my favorite." Tony cheekily said.

"Eeewwww" Lily rolled her eyes.

"Shameless, shishishishi." Shantal giggled

"Kwinny don't listen to him, okay?" Twinny said to Kwinny.

"Humm." Kwinny nodded.

"Haaa, I'm jealous!" Klaus with a jealous expression 

"Hahaha." Patrick laughed.

"Woof!" Buddy barked even if he didn't know what they were talking about.

"Nyaa~" Nekochan meowed.

Countless different reactions coming from the packs with their family pets while the adults laughed at their antics especially Pepper blushed.

"Ohoho, I'm waiting for a new baby boss, Mr. Stark., Kai added which Tony grinned.

Pepper slapped Tony's lap and reprimanded him for being shameless but he teased him more. While Happy Hogan, well he was too busy eating his food.

"Yahahaha, here drink vodka, Mr. Stark. The holy water of Russia cleanses the inner demons of a person and the medicine for every disease." White Bear boasted while giving a shot glass of vodka to Tony and Kai.

The guest looked at them and thought if he was kidding but it seems not.

"What? Is this your first time seeing me drinking an alcoholic beverages." Kai said.

Then they turned their heads towards Mama Bear asking for an answer. However, Laura wasn't sure what to answer but she just smiled at them.

"Ehhh, I don't know what to answer and even I was not sure before because at that time I thought it was water but I didn't expect it was Vodka." She explained.

"Tell us, did he force you to drink vodka?" Tony asked while Pepper and Hogan looked at him waiting for his answer either.

"Nope. It was voluntarily decisions of mine" Kai answered.

The guest unconsciously twitched their brows. Seeing the expressions of the guest, the other packs laughed at them.

"Sheesh, where's your pet do- I mean where's Rhodes by the way?" Kai asked.

"You really loved to make fun of him. Well, he's on the way, probably. I used the suit to travel here, that's why I'm not with him." Tony told him.

"How ironic. The Government wanted your suit and tried to convince you to work for them. If they know that the weapon they wanted was used for service, I'm pretty sure they get mad or dumb by your answer." Kai sarcastically said.

"That's true, Kid." A newly arrived Rhodes said.

"This friend of mine is a troublemaker to me and I'm the one who will always fix the problems he caused., Rhodes added.

"Alright alright. I know you love me, Rhodes." Tony said.

"No, I'm not, Tony. You know you caused me a lot of trouble and need to find the right answer when you declare you're Ironman!" Rhodes continuously said.

"Woo, so strong! Ey, Rhodes wants some? I know you want this so drink up, buddy." Tony drank the shot glass which caused his face to sour because of strong alcohol.

"See, you're not even listening. I know why Kai was rude to me sometimes but I couldn't blame him since he was a good boy but you Tony was a totally bad guy who didn't listen to his friend."Rhodes complained how immature Tony was while Tony returned his answer as if he didn't learn anything.

Tony offered a shot glass which Rhodes rejected in the first place but with little convincing words, he finally relented. Tony smirked when Rhodes continuously drank and talked non-stop.

The two didn't care about the surroundings even they get drunk since the people inside were not shocked by their bromance when they learned it from Kai of how Rhodes truthfully 'cared' for Tony.

"He's like a dog who was neglected by Tony." White Bear said in a low voice.

"True but you two are different., Kai replied while drinking.

"What is it?" White Bear frowned.

"Rhodes hated it while you loved being neglected by Laura., Kai said cheekily.

"What did you say?! Fight me you little generate stinky dog!" White Bear provoked.

"Bring it on, Masochist Old Man!" Kai cried out after he pounced WB to punch.

The duo quickly fought which caused a disaster inside where many tables were thrown or broken chairs. 

"Ammm, they're fighting! Stop them!" Pepper shouted.

"Calm down, Miss Potts. The two will eventually stop by a certain person." Lily calmly said.

Pepper looked to the packs which surprisingly calm from the situation.

"You three, stop them!" She told Tony, Rhodes, and Happy.

Happy immediately went to them while Tony and Rhodes returned to normal from their drunkenness and eventually approached them to stop the fight.

"You two stop fighting!"

Happy and quickly tried to apprehend White Bear but they couldn't due to his gigantic and broad body.

WB kicked Kai which caused him to flew backward, however, Tony caught Kai to stop its momentum.

"Kid, sto-" Tony wanted to talk however he was elbowed to his nose because Kai wanted to throw a punch.

Tony fell backward with blood from his nose. He was unconscious because of it.

While WB quickly removed Happy and Rhodes from his body. The two were thrown from his strength.

"Weakling!"

"You either. That's not the way of old school you son of a bitc*"

The two trash-talked and took their fighting stances. They wanted to continue to fight, however.

"It seems you two forget me." 

A chilly voice of Laura resounded. The two abruptly stop and shivered from it.

"L-Laura we're just doing a father and son kinship," WB explained.

"I-it was WB's fault, Mama Bear." 

"Ohhh, I see. Shall I teach you two the way of Old School?" Laura smiled but her expressions were scary while cracking her fist.

The two became allies and immediately hugged themselves.

"Iyahhhhhh!" 

They were beaten badly even they tried to escape. Well, they could escape but rather accepted the punishment than to increased Mama Bear's wrath.

"See I told you," Lily told to Pepper.

Pepper nodded and then helped Tony, Rhodes, and Happy.

"I finally found them," A bald man said happily while looking in a certain direction full of holographic people inside of the room.

"Then we should approach them, Chuck," A man with a unique style beard said.

"Hmm. Perhaps, this is not the right time to approach this young man since his background was something little bit of special, Logan" Xavier explained.

"Grrr. What is his background? Son of a politician? A prince? King? What is it, Chuck?" Logan grumpily asked.

"A foster children of a family dinner." Chuck calmly said as the Cerebro still intact in his head.

"What? Just a normal family? Then what's the problem?" Logan questioned him.

"Because one of them was under the observation of a secret agency and lastly closed from a renowned person. But do not worry since he was not far away from us." Xavier replied then removed the Cerebro from his head.

"Congratulations you three were able to succeed for years of experimentation. I congratulated you, Angel Dust for being part of this extravaganza hidden society. Your beauty will attract that many degenerative men would fall their knees to you but from your expressions, one wrong move will lead their hopelessness into their demise." A man in his early 40's said.

A beautiful black short-haired woman grinned.

"Ajax, what cool name is it? Your mind will give a new evolution to the human species and will contribute to the country of America or maybe the world. As you couldn't feel pain but you will give a strong feeling to everyone one of us." He said with a passion.

"Do not expect it but consider it as done," Ajax said confidently.

"Wrath. You were the youngest of the organization as you have the inspiration to challenge your fate to take the path of revenge for the one guy who almost killed you. However, your determination will lead you to success. Are you ready to challenge it?" The Man provoked him.

Wrath, a teenage boy grinned widely while letting out his killing intent.

"Do I need to say it? Of course!" He said.

"You two will create a new organization under to us that you will research a way of how to improve the mutations of genes through human experimentation. I want a good result, is it clear?" The Man asked.

"Yes sir, Angel Dust will be my Assistant," Ajax said.

"Then you, Wrath. Are you sure about your decision? You could join Ajax to support the research." He seriously asked while looking at the promising young teenager.

"Yes, I will not change my plans. I want to revive the remnants of my former organization and become its leader." Wrath adamantly said.

The man stared for a moment but eventually agreed in the end.

"Alright, Goodluck to you. I will report all of your decision to the higher authorities." He said.

"Do not worry. I will bring it back The Salamander to its prime." He confidently said.
