The turning point comes when Mason gathers the courage to confess his feelings to Caleb, only to be cruelly rejected and humiliated. Witnessing this breaks the last of Blue’s restraint. The years of watching, waiting, and enduring Mason’s suffering become unbearable.
Driven by both love and long-suppressed possessiveness, Blue finally steps out of the shadows. He inserts himself into Mason’s life, determined to protect him, support him, and undo the damage that has been done.
As Blue claims his place beside his mate, he also sets his sights on those who hurt him. What begins as protection quickly blurs into something darker, as Blue’s centuries of patience give way to a more ruthless side. Those who contributed to Mason’s pain must now face the consequences.
