I don’t really no what to say. I stopped on chapter 6 because it went from before the Mikaelsons became the Original Vampires to present day New Orleans with no explanation on a time skip. It’s as if chapters are missing which led to my confusion on what is even going on.

It can be so difficult to dive into vampire novels after growing up reading the works of Anne Rice, but this author sets the stage for a new kind of Vampire Romance that has me hooked. This novel leans heavily into the myth and lore surrounding Vampires yet feels fresh and modern at the same time. Luke and Abel leave me weak in the knees, protect them at all costs!
