I love the sci-fi-meets-fantasy storyline. There's action and adventure, humor, and a fair hint of romance (I've just got to the part where the FL is being trained by the ML on how to contol her ability). The sci-fi stuff reminds me so much of Douglas Adams' H2G2 (Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy), a humorous sci-fi must-read. 😊

This is one of the funniest Chinese web-novel translations I have read. It is like a mix of the funny urban-fantasies of Christopher Moore, and the surreality of Douglas Adams' Dirk Gently books. I don't like the parts where the author tries to be deliberately funny - for example the adventures of Doudou - but the rest of the work is brilliant. It also helps that unlike a lot of other novels, this doesn't have much negging of the female leads.
