[ One Day Later: at SACE Group Building ]
"I lost both my father and my sister in one day. This is all because of you," Enzo uttered through his gritted teeth.
Mourning for the deaths of his family, Enzo confronted Dominique once again. This time he was unusually calm, opposite to his prior violent behavior.
His eyes filled with resentment as he gazed at Dominique who was leisurely sitting on his executive chair. Dominique's nonchalant expression provoked Enzo further. But he tried to keep his composure.
He threw the folder on his desk. It was the divorce paper signed by Sabrina.
"This is the last parting gift of my sister." Enzo delivered the document personally as per the wishes of Sabrina. Gael kept the document on Sabrina's behalf and handed it over to Enzo, her brother. "I hope you rot in hell," he added.
Dominique remained silent, redirecting his gaze toward the document. Conflicting emotions flashed through his eyes, but he managed to conceal those emotions instantly.
"Do you also believe that she's dead? Her body is still missing. We never found her." Dominique finally broke his silence.
Enzo just let out a sarcastic laugh as if he had gone mad. "I don't have to worry. My sister is now free from your evilness. She will rest in peace. But Karma will come to bite you someday. She's been a good wife to you but you didn't cherish her."
"I'll keep the Golden Villa as my sister's memento. I'll never show up again in front of your face so stop harassing my family. We already admit defeat. You won." Enzo tried to do some bargain.
"Family? You still consider them your family?" Dominique chuckled in disbelief as he mocked him. "Don't you know that your so-called family is the reason why I won this battle against your father? You make me laugh, Enzo. The Williams Family are the most greedy and selfish people I have ever met in my entire life."
"What do you mean by that?" Enzo asked him in confusion.
"This is also my last parting gift to you, my brother-in-law. I'll tell you the truth." Dominique rose from his seat and turned to look at his glass window, his back facing Enzo.
"Your Uncle and cousins colluded with me to take over the company. They now owned forty percent shares of the SACE Group." Dominique just dropped a big bomb in front of Enzo. "Your Uncle will be promoted as Vice Chairman of the company."
Enzo felt like his world had stopped spinning. This revelation hurt him as hell. They were betrayed by their own family members. He was shocked beyond belief. He lost the ability to speak for a moment, trying to digest Dominique's words.
The room was engulfed with deafening silence. Nobody spoke between the two men. It did not take long before Dominique heard Enzo's footsteps. He was marching toward the door.
Just when he was about to leave, Enzo halted on his track and spoke again. "Dominique… you were wrong. There is one person in our family who isn't selfish and greedy." He paused for a moment, a subtle smile tugging on his lips.
"My sweetest and loving sister… Sabrina."
Dominique suddenly felt a sharp pang in his chest at the mention of Sabrina's name. Her sweet charming face popped up in his mind then he felt a heavy weight settle in the pit of his stomach.
'But she's gone.' His alter ego spoke in his subconscious.
Enzo had long disappeared from Dominique's sight but his gaze remained locked at the closed door absentmindedly. Unconsciously, his hands tightly clutched the divorce papers, conveying the weight of complicated emotions stirring within him.
'Indeed, one only comprehends the true significance of someone only after they are gone.'

[ At Golden Villa... ]
"How is she?" Enzo asked the blonde woman who was sitting on the couch of his living room.
"She is still unconscious," the lady responded as she closed the book she was reading. The lady possessed an intimidating aura.
A cold glint flashed in his eyes when he heard that. He knew that her sister would break down once their father died. She had been through a lot. "Lanny… I have a favor to ask you. Can you take away my sister? Bring her with you for her to start over."
Lanny was the only person he could ask for help. He happened to save this enigmatic woman when she was being chased by armed men. She belonged in the underground world and she was involved in the power struggle of a mafia organization.
"Are you sure you want me to take care of your sister? I'm not a good person, Enzo. You know that. I am the daughter of a Mafia Boss." Lanny stared at him intently.
"I have no choice. No one knows she is still alive. I want her to escape this living hell… far away from that bastard. Her husband betrayed her… our own family betrayed us. I think she is safer with you." Enzo continued begging her.
The enigmatic woman smirked and slowly approached Enzo. Upon reaching his spot, she sensually rested her hand on his chest, declaring, "Alright. I'll take care of her. But you know my situation. I must bear an heir to inherit my father's organization. I need that power to help both of you get your revenge."
Her fingers teasingly undid the knot of Enzo's tie, skillfully unbuttoning his shirt as their eyes remained locked in a magnetic gaze. Succumbing to the allure of her seduction, he couldn't resist wrapping his hands around her waist, pulling her even closer.
He didn't need to say a word. His actions were the exact answer to her proposition. Silently, he claimed her lips in a passionate kiss, lifting her effortlessly as he retraced their steps toward his room.
The urgency in his movements heightened as he swiftly removed her clothes, exposing her alluring curves. She's not wearing a bra. His hands tenderly cupped her bosoms, exploring their contours with a delicate touch as their lips continued to dance in a fervent embrace. The warmth of the moment enveloped them, intensifying their physical connection.
In that intimate moment, a deal was officially formed. He was willing to do everything for Sabrina's sake. And this woman in his arms would play a big role in Sabrina's revenge in the years to come.
Lanny's character is dedicated to one of my precious and supportive readers (Powy). She's a supporting character who will help FL with her revenge.
