This seems very inspired by Dark Souls which i really like very much as a Dark souls fan. I have been looking for action novels with boss fights giving me dark souls vibes unlike other novels cliches where the mc just initially one shots the boss despite the side characters struggling over it. A lot of nightmare creatures here are very dark souls specially the black knight. The catacombs arc is full of dark souls reference too like skeletons reviving, I thought theres gonna be a necromancer and a fallen terror with 3 masks but i like it that you didn't put that part. Sunny attemtpting to kill the black knight reminds me when i tried to fight a black knight on darks souls the first time then it one shots me. The lord of the dead feels very Nito, the first of the dead. The sun god might be someone like gwyn i think and nephis literally gives me gwyn vibes specially when nephis is leading her own warriors to fight to their death. Im looking forward for a dragon boss too very much and i would prefer sunny solo fighting a dragon, thing about it gives me goosebumps. The hollow concept too seems very dark souls. Slow romance is one of my favorites too not having anything forced. Slow pacing is just fine for me as someone who refers himself as a one piece fan. A black knight with a halberd fighting the stone saint solo would be great and another lore wise nightmare creature similar to artorias being a follower of one of the gods. Also looking forward for a darkness attribute character and sunny meeting a titan nightmare creature. Also the part where the prophesied future cannot be change is great and should stay the same way cause it might cause a lot of holes. Sunny's fated atrribute was a good solution for the improbable events where other novel authors mostly forgets. Lastly, pairing sunny with another fc other than neph seems like a bad idea. Overall, everything is really good for me except for the pacing which is just fine for me (might not be for others though).
