Seriously, this is on my list of fave books. Misty Cloud Translation’s have done excellent work in translating this and the other novels. This is one of the books that got me hooked in reading Chinese novels. North Night, the author, has done a tremendous job of writing novels that will hook your attention right from the start. This book, the characters were well developed and are linked with North Night’s other novel... shared universe ... with the characters of both novels being friends, family or comrades from their previous life. I wish they would meet up right.. North Night.. I’m giving you some suggestion here.. hehehe... Since this is the first book I’ve read written by North Night, it was refreshing. With the ups and downs in the novel, the comedy act of the female protagonist’s friends, the bloodthirstiness of the characters as they fight.. (would love to write more but have to go... will update again later...) But seriously, read this and you won’t regret it. Don’t think the plot is common (duh it’s like the films we watch right), but look into the way the author writes and brings to life the characters... it’s worth a try... see you later !!!🤗
