The story would be much better if they used the original Chinese names or if they removed the last name being permanently used as that is not how people use western names

When you put in names can you do it last names before first names like "Lin Xue". That way when your naming a clan it becomes easier for people to recognize who is a part of the clan.

It's a really good novel, but it goes downhill very quickly at the forest arc and never recovers from there - the story enters a complete standstill while introducing "extras" with actual names that only last a single chapter until they die just to pad out the story for no reason, The forest arc also introduces tons of tropes and unnecessary sticky characters when the good old ones are almost forgotten. The forest arc should really have been paced differently and finished up in at most 100 chapters. Otherwise, the novel is very good, writing quality is top notch for creating fun scenarios and awkward situations that make you giggle, as well as tough and darker plots with deep character design.
