Synopsis

A giant tree popped up in the middle of the Atlantic ocean covering the world in a strange new radiation and because of it, people began to change. First, there are the Chosen. These super humans have only slight physical changes and yet can manifest amazing elemental powers. Next, you have the Infected. These humans have experienced large scale body changes which range from animal adaptations to simply grotesque body decomposition. Most are still normal and sane humans who attempt to adapt to life while being shunned by others. There are some however that have grown deranged and think themselves the rulers of the world. Our MC lives a somewhat lonely life while sometimes being accompanied by his rather senile yet kind grandfather. He has no idea where his parents went after they dropped him off a few years ago, so he has no choice but to stay here. He lives by the idea that he should just be air and not be noticed in the slightest. All of this goes ok until things start changing and Laz starts getting dragged around in many different directions. Welcome to a story of Gods, evolution, love, adult situations and basically bringing a bit of eastern fantasy to western civilization. Hope you enjoy the ride.

Defy The Alpha(s)

Two centuries after the Great War, peace between humans and werewolves was finally achieved, or so everyone believes. Werewolves reign like gods, and humans remain blissfully unaware of their true place in the new world order. To maintain this fragile balance, each year, a handful of "lucky" humans are selected from various districts to attend Lunaris Academy, a prestigious institution that promises glory, status, and a chance to mingle with the elite. Those chosen are hailed as the lucky few, destined to marry powerful alphas and rise as luna. This year, Violet Purple is among the chosen, much to everyone's surprise. For an orphaned girl adopted by a disgraced prostitute, this is a golden ticket to a better life or so she's told. But Lunaris Academy isn’t the paradise it’s painted to be. Everything Violet and her fellow humans have been taught is a lie. Humans are far from equal; they're pawns in a much larger game. The academy is nothing but a gilded cage, and the students are lambs led to slaughter, playthings for the alphas to toy with in their ruthless games. To make matters worse, Violet catches the attention of the most dangerous players in this game, the Terror Four: the Alpha of the North, Alpha of the South, Alpha of the East, and Alpha of the West. Each one is more dangerous, more twisted, and more powerful than the last. But even among themselves, the alphas are divided, each with their own deadly ambitions. Yet, they all have their eyes on her. They expect Violet to play along, to fall in line like the others who worship at their feet, to break under their games. But Violet isn’t like the others. She refuses to bow. She’ll defy them all.

It's a common mistake from the author not have a complete chapter. He haphazardly ends a chapter, so we are not able to connect it with other chapter. Not to mention his idea of adding new stories in every second chapter. It's a common mistake from the author not have a complete chapter. In children's stories, an issue is the repetition of common plotlines. So many stories follow the same 'hero's journey' pattern, which can become boring for kids who are exposed to a lot of stories. Another problem is the limited range of emotions depicted. Most stories focus on positive emotions like happiness and courage, while ignoring more complex emotions such as confusion or sadness that children also experience. Also, some children's stories have a narrow view of family structures. They often show the traditional nuclear family, not reflecting the diverse family setups that exist today.

One common problem is stereotyping. For example, characters might be overly simplified as all - good heroes or all - bad villains, which doesn't reflect the complexity of real life. Another problem could be the lack of diversity. Many traditional children's stories mainly feature characters from a particular race or gender, ignoring the rich tapestry of different cultures and identities. Also, some stories may have a didactic tone that is too heavy - handed, making it less enjoyable for kids as they feel like they are being preached to rather than entertained.

Often, children's stories are located in places that kids can relate to, such as schools. Think about all those stories that happen in a classroom or on a school playground. Additionally, some stories are set in the homes of the characters, which could be a cozy cottage or a big city apartment. There are also stories set in deep, dark caves where adventures and treasures might be waiting.
