The novel is good but The only problem for me is the MC yapping about Rival this , rival that. I understand ASH is the Chosen one and will Become Pokemon master but that is in the distant time in the future If Gary isn't already one. Ash is stupid as always well it won't matter since he is like that in anime but when Compared to Gary in the novel it's annoying. So i just hope Gary stops calling Ash Rival and just be good friends

This entire novel, is like the wet dream of an incredibly edgy teenager. The main character is basically the definition of a Gary Stu, who never actually has to work for anything for example: - In bleach one of the main limiting factors of Ichigo's power development is his shit energy control because he has too much spiritual power. But our Gary here gets a fancy set of eyeballs in like chapter 2 to give him perfect control. - Most shinigami have to spend years meditating with their powers to earn shikai and learn the name of their swords and even Ichigo has to go through life threatening situations to earn that power, but Gary gets it handed to him immediately. - Bankai is basically the most powerful state of a shinigami spending literal centuries training for it, even with Urahara's method Ichigo fights tooth and nail for three days for it, Gary does it in one chapter mostly off screen, then goes on a date with his sword spirit for like three chapters. - Gary has to wear a blindfold in his daily life to "contain his eyes" or whatever, and yet no one comments on it's ridiculousness. Also the character interactions feel incredibly robotic and flat, and there are way too many pointless characters. Seriously, what is the point of inserting characters from slice of life anime? I mean it's to the point where we spend more time on characters like the dad's new wife, and Gary's new stepsister(who's only real purpose seems to be being Gary's bedwarmer) than with Ichigo and Rukia.

love the story, and the media references, the main character is a it of a Gary Stu but eh so are most of the main characters on this site. great jokes, and the fantastic new Vegas setting, great work.
