This is a little different from typical transmigration novels. When we are introduced to MC in the first few chapters, he is already OP with photographic memory, great sword skills and a clear mind skill that allows him to see through others’ muscles, bones and minute movements. He has a bodyguard job that seems a little low level given his prowess. He has encounters with several beautiful women, who are awed by him. Men jealous of him send him challenges to fail miserably. It’s an okay read, but I wanted to see more of MC’s will/ motivation. In essence, I am not convinced by what drives him to do as he does.

LIKEHe isn't OP as there are a lot of people that are stronger than him. He is just stronger compare to bodyguards. As his power increases he leaves his job as bodyguard and becomes Chief for the palace.
Chouhouin:Maybe he did it for the girls. Acting a pig eating a tiger seems fun. Lol. Is he bodyguard to the emperor at least? In this type of situation, it needs to be a comedy; otherwise, there really pointless to have so much power and not put it to good use.
No, he uses his brain a lot and he isn't OP. there is schemes and tricks instead of just trash face slapping. there are also intelligent enemies that he has to use his brain to solve instead of power.
Palabasa:Is this a very easy read where lots of MC awesomeness but not much sense on it?
I would like to disagree with you review. First, He isn't OP. OP means Over Powered as meaning that he can crush everyone with power and that isn't the case. He is stronger than is fellow bodyguards but compare to the world he is in, he is nothing. Second, He isn't getting girls left and right and face slapping Men like typical novels. I can tell that you haven't read more than 50-100 chapters as the story is widely divergent from the way you describe it later in chapters as he has to use his brains to defeated his opponents and even uses them to reach his goal. Third, I think it is stated in the early novel that he was monk and returned to secular life to enjoy beauties, fame and fortune. I mean that is what all Men strive for isn't that enough convincing of what drives him? You can even tell how he is trying to get every beautiful women in his harem *Spoiler* Later there is character development in which he actively chases only one woman. So changing the reason why he is trying to become powerful. It is for that woman because only if he powerful he can help her.
That's great to know. I have only read about 170~ chapters of this novel, where the book was still clearly in the early stages. The initial bit about getting all the girls in his harem made it worse for me since it's not a convincing motivation to get stronger (it's good to know that he chases after one woman later because I don't like strong harem novels). Just to clarify, I meant MC is OP relative to other classic novels where MC starts out as a "trash"- I meant it in a positive way since I am very tired of the "trash" to "genius" trope. Thanks for detailing what happens in the later part of the novel- that's super helpful.

Great suggestion; I will mention the chapter till which I have read the Chinese raws for future reviews. Thanks for the feedback.
DemonWolf:So, it would be good if you wrote how many chapter you have read as this review has led to many miss informed readers causing them to give up before even giving chance to the novel assuming it is typical cliche novel
