Meeting Him Again

On a dark rainy night, a black car drives at high speed. There is a man inside.

He looks like in his early forties.

He is looking very sorrowful and mad at the same time. The man in the black car received an incoming call. As he tried to look at his phone, he lost sight of the road and saw a huge truck coming in his way. He tried to avoid it as fast as he could, but it was too late.

BOOM! They crashed.

Beep! Beep!

All he could hear was people yelling and calling the ambulance. It turned out that there was another car involved. The truck drove off as fast as he could away from the scene.

Alice was sleeping when her parents came into the room singing, happy birthday to you, happy birthday...

Alice puts her sheet over her head.

No please, Let me sleep a bit more.

Her mother shrugged. Come on, sleepyhead. Wake up.

Alice Pov:

Today I am becoming 25, but my parents still see me as that little child that wants to celebrate her birthday. I hope this day goes perfect as they have planned.

I walk to the bathroom and look in the mirror. I have long brown hair and hazel brown eyes. Yep, I just look exactly like my mum.

My mum has beautiful dimples, and she is not thick nor skinny.

She has a beautiful shape, and I got that from her.

Alice quickly washes up and runs back to her room.

tringgg, tringgg... goes my phone.

Hey Mia, how are you?

'What do you mean, how are you? How is your birthday going, girl?' she says excitedly.

I think not soo bad... my mum even brought an expensive dress.

I quickly put on the dress and go downstairs.

"Here is my gift for you, sweetie", says mom and whispers to me, " I hope you get a better year than all the years before".

I didn't really get what she meant by that, but I just brush it off.

Thanks, mom, I replied while smiling.

Wait... You are missing someone else, interrupts dad.

"Come, Mia," he calls her while waving with his hand.

Hey Mia, I missed you. I thought you weren't coming.

"girl, gimme a big hug. How can I miss your birthday?" she hugs me tight.

I know that I can always count on you. You are just a sister from another mother. We both giggle hard.

"I wish".. then I could celebrate a birthday like this. says Mia while touching the decorations on the wall.

"You know what?? Let's go take some pictures. You and your dress are stunning, girl. You should go on dates... hahaha.

Mia stop!! You are making me blush.

Everyone is here. You know I am still waiting for him.

"Don't tell me you're still waiting for that boy? You guys made that contract when you were little. Maybe he has someone else now" she crossed her arms.

while I was working in my office, I got a call. I look at the screen. It is Oliver. He knows I don't pick up calls from him, so why he is calling me?

I decline his call and just focus on my work.

Alice's pov:

Aww... my head hurts. I had partied so long yesterday. My friends stayed really late last night. So I could sleep only for a few hours.

The bright sun is shining through my curtain.

I can hear someone screaming my name.

"Okay, class. Listen! For your last lesson today, I want to see a good piece of art. You can do it outside or stay inside, as long as I just get your art today. Now you're dismissed", says Mr ben.

Mia looks at me. 'Let's go outside. It is such nice weather today.' She locks arms with me as we walk out of the classroom.

I feel the heat from the sun.

I already feel like sweating. I wipe my hand on my forehead.

I walk back into the hall. I see the director busy talking to two other men. They are coming in my direction. One of the men is staring at me. He looks like my age.

He is still staring at me. Ooh... that gives me goosebumps. I pretend like I am looking at the wall and slowly look away.

I look up again, and he starts to laugh so creepily. What a weirdo he is.

But Wait! Why does he look so familiar?

I wonder if all the people here have paint on their hands. Is it a new trend or something? I am trying not to laugh since my dad is here.

Wait, is that Alice? I tried to go to her, but then someone calls me.

'Mr Mason, this way, please'. says my dad's assistant.

We talked for hours and looked at some things.

"Thank you for your precious time. I hope to see you more often, says My dad's assistant and waves at me."

I look for Alice, but I can't find her anywhere. Where are you Alice?, when I finally find you?

It is raining and very dark already.

I quickly hop in my car and start driving very fast. Today was my mom's death anniversary, so I don't want to miss it, and before I knew it, my car got hit by something big... SCRASHH!!
